Great value for money, beautiful surroundings and extremely well kept. Tee boxes are huge and greens are large and challenging.

Not played in a long time prior to this visit, but will definitely be back again very soon.

Played today the course was in great condition.Not played it before but would play again.
We were out at 2.10 .as we arrived a 4 ball of mixed couples were on their way to the 1st tee at least 20 minutes before our tee time.Two chaps teed off at 2pm then us .We noticed as we got to the 3rd that the chaps in front had gone through the 4 ball .. We quickly caught up to the 4 ball ,they had plenty of opportunity to let us through but didn’t instead we waited at least 10 minutes on every hole .we got to the 6th at 3.35pm !! It’s meant to take 1hr 18 minutes . Given they teed off 20 minutes prior to us this is horrendous.To be honest they spoilt our game and as we had travelled from Manchester to play we were not very happy .These people were members ,perhaps the club would like to remind them that slow play is not acceptable and manners are priority

First time playing at FoG. Unfortunately, the weather was heavy rain for 3/4 of the round. The course was a decent test, mostly flat course with some water features but as always hitting the fairways was the way to a good score. Greens moderate-to-slow (unsuprising after several days of rain) but rolling well and well maintained. Will return - in the hope of drier conditions,

The course is nice and flat any fairly forgiving so you can enjoy your game without searching for your balls all the time,The course was in good condition tee boxes fairways and greens all good.Do I think the course is worth £25 probably not £20 I think is a fair price and that's what I paid.

My first time at this course and was very impressed with the condition of both the fairways and greens. Although the course was relatively busy we were never held up and had a very enjoyable game. We will definitely be back.

Having enjoyed playing the course on a number of occasions before,I played with 3others, we all enjoyed the game,the course and the time at the course, will definitely play again and recommend the course to others.

Great reception from a very friendly pro shop and simple clubhouse. Great bacon sandwiches. Very quiet course and surrounded by flat arable land with lovely long distance views. Some interesting holes and the greens and fairways were in really good condition. If you like hitting your driver this coure is made for you as from the tee a lot of the par 4 fairways encourage a big shot. Very few holes with adjoining fairways which was nice and no hills to cope with. Well recommended.

FoG is not the most challenging of golf courses with some wide fairways.
Greens were in a very good condition; slow but true.
Not many on the course so pace of play was great.
Pro Shop seems very low on any stock.
18 holes for £20 is great value!

Lovely playing conditions yesterday. Course in great shape and greens really good. Always enjoy playing here & despite there being a competition on, didnt feel rushed or hassled. Good pace of play.

Not played the course since 2016 and enjoyed a very pleasant round. We followed a four ball who were in turn following two other four balls, the pace was slow for us being a two ball, which was understandable and did not spoil our enjoyment of the round or the course. If you are visiting the area around York make a point of playing Forest Park Golf Club Stockton on Forest and Forest of Galtres.

I love this course. We have played it many times before. However, the greens were really poor today. Badly scarred from winter with some craters that really affected putting. However, it's not normally like this and we got it at a good price. Maybe we will wait until Spring for our next visit.

Played on a damp Saturday morning in November, but the course was in good condition, and the pace of play was great.
For a new golfer with a high handicap, it provided a great opportunity to take a few risks and test your game on a fairly open/rewarding course.
For the price, this is definitely one to try if you’re looking for a new course

Lovely course yet again, In very good nick!! Wind made it tricky but still great fun. Brought some more friends to experience it with me this time. They all enjoyed it. Will definitely be back.

Just wanted to say how nice this course is and if you're thinking about going to play there, then you definitely should! I am a 23 handicap, who plays once a week (work allowing) and absolutely loved the course! It is nice and flat and not ridiculously long. Theres a few challenging holes and a few easier holes but overall I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed it! The course was in a lovely condition! Go play here!!!

Wrong postcode on the golf print out. Sent us to the wrong location in york.

Otherwise great course and good prices.

Didn’t see he clubhouse as we raced back to catch the end of the open championship.
