Tell golfers about green being spiked
None of the greens were usable as they had all been Hollow cored so unputterable.
Want to play when weather improves
Very scorching day. Grass non existent on the fair ways. Tees and Greens were green and excellent. Will try and play again when the fair ways are green and receptive.
Challenging course
This course was quite challenging but thoroughly enjoyed playing. My only criticism would be that the clubhouse was closed when we finished our round at 7pm. Would have appreciated a drink at the 19th hole!
Interesting
I’ve played hilly courses before that have the occasional blind green but this was different, in as much as there seemed to be a large number of blind greens. Playing for the first time was a little difficult as it was not always easy to see where the green was, especially as fairways are not so obvious in current dry conditions. All grass seems to have been cut short, so little to stop the ball rolling on and on.
Might give it another go when conditions revert to normal, grass becomes green and there’s a clear distinction between fairway and rough but won’t bother at the moment.
Interesting course
Green is prefect. Fairway is awful coz the weather is too dry these period of UK. A bit of blind shot. Good to have someone know the course well with you. Walking here would be a test. Hire a e- trolley.
Decent but hilly
Played for the first time and was a decent course. A lot of holes you are hitting a semi blind tee shot so is difficult to know if fairway is clear. Also the course is very hilly which seriously impacts distances, also would recommend a buggy as a lot of uphill walking otherwise.
Great find
Great course in very good condition considering the heatwave. Greens in great condition. Lovely clubhouse with super friendly staff. Only downside was super slow pace of play due to a ladies competition
Too many undulations. Good shots turn into bad, bad into good. Just a lottery
Good local course
As new to golf I find this quite a challenging course, some big hills, 3 par 5's and some tight fairways, and limited water. Since winter greens have got a lot better and the fairways are now in good shape. Friendly staff in the clubhouse and bar. Lovely views over the course from teh club house.
Short but elevated beauty
Course pleases one with Scenic beauty of Buckinghamshire, I enjoyed walking the slopes surrounded by trees. . Creates a sense of excitement as quite a few holes play blind on the tee.
Easier to drive to from central london via a40.
