A very clever course with some really nice features, would recommend to others. greens were smooth running that were challenging but true. fareways were clean and tidy. suitable for all levels of golfer. will be playing again.
Bank Holiday Monday 4-Ball
Had a lovely round, course was in fantastic condition. Most holes had some form of challenge, greens were particularly tough to read, some fantastic & picturesque holes - even in the snow! Our group were novice golfers but enjoyed the layout and difficulties the course provided. All of our group said we'd def return over the coming weeks. Really enjoyable with loads of time to get round, nobody was held up in front or behind.
Good greens, friendly service, hilly layout
Located in a valley near High Wycombe, Hazlemere is an interesting layout. Lots of holes have big elevation changes so some have blind tee shots or greens. It's fairly short in distance and quite open on most holes so a good opportunity to get a good score going. Doglegs, small greens, large mature trees and plentiful bunkering are its defence. The greens on my visit in late March were good and ran well. Overall the course was in good condition except for some tatty areas around the paths. I paid £34 for a 12pm tee time through Golf Now and I felt that was about the right value for money. The golf pro was chatty, friendly and welcoming. Overall an enjoyable all round golfing experience.
Love this course
Always a warm welcome at Hazlemere and, considering the lockdown and weather conditions, the course played well. Always happy to recommend.
Top class
Stunning course really good condition top class.
Yes it's hilly witch makes for stunning views. Will definitely play this top class course again
Great value for money but not best course layout
Overall the course is in very good condition and value for money is incredibly good. My personal preference meant I didn't like the layout which has so many blind rises you're not able to plan your shot or see where your ball goes. If this doesn't bother you (or you know the course) then definitely a great course to play at an even better price.
Great golf course
Great course, the layout is very good and every hole feels very different. The 1st and 10th holes are fun short downhill par 4's that encourage you to go for the green and the par 3's aren't too challenging but aren't too easy either.
I would say the staff in the bar could be a little friendlier, the lady on shift looked a bit stressed and the welcome wasn't overly friendly.
Condition of the course was very good. Big puddles on some of the greens and lots of leaves, however we did play in the afternoon and after it had rained.
I will definitely go back
A workout for the legs
Booked a few days in advance little did I know rain was forecasted all day. Got out of the car and it came down hard with wind to boot. A 2 ball we were the only nutters out on the course. We both hit poor first tee shots. Weather aside it eventually went from hard to light rain. The course was immaculate - hardly any rough - pretty much semi rough - Thank you!! So no time wasted searching for balls in rough great pay and play for that alone. I'd compare it to Pinner Hill as the terrain is equal to the up and down the hill. Gotta take in the slope of fairways early on. Being a lefty quite a few lies were below my feet and topped several shots - so bear that in mind and compensate. I would employ extra loft on the uphill holes. My friend struggled to air his shots and I should have used my hybrid.
The greens were immaculate and hard and dry - well done green keepers great drainage balls rolled fast even on this wet day - rarely will I say this even the bunkers were good to play out of - not compacted - nice!
Will def be back for an early tee time as we lost the light with bad weather.
A great course has something for everyone
