Hazlemere Golf Course
Played the course on Friday 1st March 2019. Conditions were ideal with a slight breeze and cloudy. We found the course a good test of golf, although the greens had recently been sanded and tined, which made putting a bit of a lottery. However, we enjoyed the outing and the par 3s were brilliant and very testing. The amenities from the Pro Shop to the 19th Hole were excellent with friendly staff and a good selection of hot food and ales on the 19th. I would recommend Hazlemere Golf Club to anyone who seeks a good round of golf on a testing, albeit not too difficult, golf course. You are made to feel welcome which is so important in any golf club in the land. Highly recommended.
Very hilly but not a bad track. Greens are too fast
Played as a four ball with two carts, so pace of play was fine. Glad we got the carts though, as the hills are significant. Nice course, some interesting holes, well sign posted.
My only issue is the greens. They’re so so fast, they need to grow them out a bit as it’s impossible to get used to. Some of them are not true either or not in the best nick.
Clubhouse is getting renovated.
The excellent hazlemere golf course
Have played this golf course on a number of occasions and it always impresses me
Very friendly staff and the golf course is in very good condition for this time of year
Only a couple of temporary tee boxes and the greens are superb
Always good value for money.
Great Course - Wonderful welcome
So many times I have turned up to play Golf Courses as a visiting guest and find myself ignored by staff and members. Not the case at Hazlemere where I got a lovely reception from the bar staff, club pro, office staff and even the members!
Course was in great nick considering the amount of rain we'd had lately fairways were well drained and greens were receptive and ran true.
No complaints at all will definitely visit again.
Frustrating course
Course a great condition, greens excellent, staff super friendly. However, there are probably 11 blind tee shots, for me it made the round frustrating, I like to see what I'm aiming for! Scored well (37pts) but the layout detracted from what should have been a really fantastic 18 holes.
August 5th
A lot of blind shots so tricky for a first timer. Tee boxes in poor condition but greens good and challenging.
Enjoyable day at Hazlemere GC
As the Open was on Sky TV we went to the club for 10AM to watch it before playing in the afternoon.
The staff and members were friendly and we enjoyed a tasty brunch and coffee for a couple of hours, while watching the action.
There may be some other facilities but we just warmed up on the practise green which was in good condition.
The course is relatively short off the yellow tees which we played but still had lots of interesting and good holes with only a couple of weaker ones.
We were there at the end of a dry spell but the greens in particular and course in general were in very good condition.
In short we had a very enjoyable day, on a good course and great value for money.
hazlemere
very steep hills could be a struggle for the older player great greens very challenging course
Nice course
Good value course in good condition, you need your hard hat on a few holes ! lots of blind tee shots l, they could do with a few bells and elevated mirrors for safety.
Overall a very friendly club, apart from snobby women two ball who hit their tee shots before we had left the green, 'just speeding things up' And insisted on playing through, because their names where on the board and were playing in a comp, even though a two ball was in front of us holding us up! And proceeded to go nowhere.
Hills!
First time playing Hazlemere - some very tricky holes with sloped greens, and plenty of sloped fairways, too!
Good mix of holes and some staggeringly steep hills to conquer (the 9th, in particular). Nice course, though, and a good challenge.
Fantastic
Played here many years ago and thought I'd give it another try. Wasn't disappointed! It's a great course but very hilly. Not too daunting for the average golfer and a great mix of challenges. The deal was great value and made for a great day's golf. Highly recommended!
Delightful if a little hilly
Really excellent condition of both the fairways and greens. If it's your first visit be sure to be ready for some hills. One minor criticism, if you advertise calling ahead at the bottom of the ninth to have some refreshments ready at the ninth green, then PLEASE answer the phone. Tried repeatedly but to no avail.
Lovely course
I have played Hazlemere numerous times and have always enjoyed my round. There are some challanging holes, narrow fairways, undulating greens and some fantastic views from the far side of the coarse. I look forward to coming back. And for those who like some golf facts this used to be Luke Donalds local club when he was a junior before he went to university in the States. Pop into the club house and check out the boards where he was junior champion 2 years running I think. The first hole is called Luke Donalds Ace.
Hazlemere gc great all round condition
Great greens tee boxes
Well layed out track
Good challenge to any golfer
Good score can be had if you're on your game or it can go Pete tong
