Veryy slow

3, 2 balls piled up on the 4th tee, by the 9th we was waiting for around 15 mins to tee off every hole with no room to play through.

Good potential, average course conditions/difficulty, awful staff attitude

The course is an alright one, fairly easy to play and open fairways in most places.

Greens are very slow, so make sure you give it some with your putter.

Staff were a mixed bag, the guys in the clubhouse are nice enough. However the course marshalls are very rood and jobsworths. I was lining up my first tee shot when the Marshall came over in his buggy telling me I shouldn't me there. After going back to the clubhouse and confirming again I had paid online, I was eventually allowed to play.

It is a beginner course so you have to expect slow play I guess. Something I hadn't considered before playing there.

This is a true example of 'you get what you pay for', at £10 each a round. We now understand the low price.

Great for a fast round

Great for a round after work. It's a short, manageable course you can fly through after work and at £12. 50 its a good value

Not bad.

The course is a little tricky. It has some good holes and some ok holes. Hole 2,3,4 are a bit boring.

From hole 6 it gets much better and the back 9 was actually quite good.

The green were very slow. I would play this again mid-July when the green must get quicker.

Leon 3 handicap.

Well kept and good value for money Golf course

We always enjoy playing at this course. I find it challenging and varied throughout.
There's a good range of holes to suit all. The clubhouse and staff are always welcoming and they serve good beer.

Interesting, tricky but not too long

There is one par 5, 13 par 4s & 4 par 3s. The longest par 4 - off the yellow tees - is 397 yards. The par 3s - off the yellow tees - range from 122 yards to 197 yards. The course is quite compact but interesting. I thought it was in good condition. I've played it twice and enjoy it. It's out in the countryside and you'll get to see plenty of buzzards & red kites. There is a good range of food in the club house. There is also a club shop. I'd recommend it.

Interesting and challenging little course

Well kept grounds and greens. It lackings the number of par fives and flow through the course - the layout little congested could be improved.

Scenic but wet greens

Nice round, but the greens were water logged.

Compared to Wexham the week before where green keepers were out clearing the water off.

Friendly staff though and not frantically busy for the weekend.

Played here a couple of times previously and have ended up waiting for games in front of us by about the 15th or 16th. However, last time we played we got to the second tee and there were players waiting for the game in front of them to complete the hole so they could tee off. Very slow rate of play so we ended up doing the front nine twice so that we would be finished within five hours. Booking system needs to be improved or better scheduling adopted.

Short course

Received a decent welcome from the pro shop. However we booked through Tee off times and got a significantly better price than going direct to the club. Saved £6.50 each player. The course is good for practice but is not long and as I am a reasonably big hitter I found that most holes were either a driver or a three wood and then a mid to short iron into the green. Come the summer, the driver would stay in the bag as it would be too long and I would run out of fairway. There is only par 5 on the whole course. The course was in reasonable condition given the recent poor weather but I wish people who play there repaired pitch marks as there were plenty on all greens. The bunkers didn't look as if they had been raked for ages and the tee markers obviously had been in place for some time as well, judging by the divots. On the whole, I would visit again but only if I got a good price to play.

Friendly club

Now played Huntswood several times and will keep going back. Layout on the front 9 is fairly tight, but holes are challenging and course is always in good nick.
Clubhouse is very nice and staff are very friendly.
Highly recommended!

Great mid-range course

Excellent location and some really nice holes. Well laid out and easy to navigate a round with minimal long walks.

Holes 9,11,12 and 18 are very challenging...
