Play it, it'll test you no matter what your handicap is.

They've spent a lot of money redesigning this course and have a few new holes too with new fairways and greens. It is definitely not a boring course! You'll look at the yardage and think "it's too short", but take your handicap here and see how you go .... the greens are superb... some of them look like an angel, but play like a devil... go on, try them! As for the drainage, a winter of rain and 2 days of throwing it down before we played.... and it was brilliant! Hats off to the green staff and those who make decisions to invest in making the course into playing conditions like this.

Really enjoyed it

Lovely local course with plenty of variation. It was in decent condition, despite lots of rain in the previous week. Some of the tees do play across other fairways, which wasn't a problem when I went because it was quiet but could be an issue if busy. Overall, would recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyable experience

Played lots of good courses this year, but none quite like Prestwich. A par of 68 is and I can’t recall a par 3 being SI 1 anywhere else, but this is a nice test of skill rather than brute force.

First time here so impossible to say whether the redesign is an improvement, and it needs to bed in next year. However, the greens are in good condition, the course is standing up well to wet weather, and I can only see this being a great course to play in 2021.

Thoroughly enjoyed it: will be back.

Lovely course

Lovely course. Unfortunately it was a very wet day which led to lots of standing water.

Fun, short course.

Great condition

The course is in great condition, especially considering the recent weather. No boggyness or puddles, and greens were superb.
Staff in the pro shop were incredibly helpful and nice, was a really nice way to start.
Only downfalls was the course is pretty tricky to navigate from hole to hole, but they did say they were waiting on new signage for the new layout, really hoping that the new signage is for directions too.
And the only other thing was one of the greens keepers (one in the hat with a beard) for about 3 holes in the round I had to wait for him to finish mowing the fairway or close to the green before taking my shot, and on one hole as I was taking my shot he drove past me mowing maybe only 5 meters along side me. Never had that before. Was very off putting.
Other than that loved the round, other members and the staff in the shop were a delight, will 100% be coming back.

Nice course , rude green keeper

The course is lovely and the new 18 holes are good , however I was rudely spoken to by a green keeper who swore at me as he was happy with a divert id made and repaired. It was extremely unprofessional with his foul language

Prestwich G C

We booked through Golf Now and the hot deal slot which made it excellent value and a very enjoyable round. It plays app 3 to 3 1/2 hours for the round but varying challenges and a par 5. Slightly shorter holes than most courses but a fabulous setting and well kept. We hope to become regulars now as thoroughly enjoyed it.

Average - confusing layout

Course seems to have been redesigned.....TD very confusing playing across tees and even greens to get to the hole. Long walks between some tees. It’s not a bad course but the greens were basically just sand.....might be a better course in a few years. What was really annoying was that we were booked into a four ball when we thought it was a 2 ball.....won’t be back

Enjoyable Course

Lovely course, with various challenges posed.
Good price for 18 holes - albeit last minute discounted booking.
Will definitely play again.

Clubhouse not available due to work being done - but can see it’s a really good set up.

Greens under the trees needed a sweep of debris. Appreciate it’s autumn but there’s about half that clearly need clearing at least once a day. Had spend far too long clearing lines to putt. Hopefully just a one off as it’d be a nice course to play year round.

First time on this course, very short course - had a good round, lower score than handicap!

Course was good, good quality fairways, tough in areas, tight-lines, very good greens - quick putting but gripped well on approach.
Short holes, all easily reachable GIR and GUR (green under regulation) but great for attacking players.
Only qualms are the layout, confusing with holes playing over each other and some holes a bit of a walk across holes/fairways.
But all in all, would play again.

Course was in very good condition with fast greens. Although this is not a long course with a few par 4 holes only around 300 yards, which suits me as I only average about 150 from the tee, there are a lot of trees and challenges on each hole and a lot of tricky slopes on the greens, fairways were quite narrow but the semi wasnt too penal.
Staff very friendly when I arrived providing lots of information about the course there are also nets to warm up in a practice chipping area and practice green.

Good test.

Enjoyable course not too long so suits those who aren't long off the tee. However accuracy is needed too generally, wonderful greens with most involving testing slopes and undulations.
