#4 West is a cool short par three with several good tee angles into an undulating green. Photo submitted by DenisDotson on 03/28/2020

The best scenery is on #8 West - a long and testing par 5 along the Calabash River. Photo submitted by DenisDotson on 03/28/2020

March Golf in Myrtle.
Course was inlay conditions but should be better for the price. Greens and fairways were good but rough was still thin. I hoped for better given the fee?
Course conditions fair for Feb.
West course was okay, typical conditions in area for Feb.. The East course was in poor shape. Feel like it is used for “overflow” when West and North courses fill up.
Nice
Nice course, the is very friendliness we came from Canada to play and if we come back play in Myrtle we gonna play at this place again thanks
Took a flyer
Booked the course knowing nothing about it, but reviews read well. Was not disappointed!! The gentleman in the pro shop was great, very nice and informative. The starter was outstanding, we were going out first on the front and he gave us all the necessary instructions. We were just a twosome so we played very quickly so had a delay on back due to people starting on both 9’s.
No other complaints, course was in great shape and if I had played better it would have been a perfect day. Definitely recommend The Pearl!!
Staff clearly put our group as their last priority to get out on the course. I understand the frost delay hindered start times. However, when we arrived we were told we were going out on the East course. A group of regulars were scheduled to go out on the West Course (we were told by them that we were to go before them). They decided they wanted to go on the East Course and we were impolitely moved to the West Course which had a backup of four groups on the starting hole. We had a group of three and clearly played faster than the two groups ahead of us, but was never allowed to play through. I am a regular golfer in the Pinehurst, NC area and had not experienced this type of treatment in years...Very bad experiences!
Interesting Course
I've never played a course with this type format. Instead of a continuous 18 hole, you play two separate courses if 9 holes each. The course was in excellant shape with the exception of a couple of tee boxes. The greens were immaculate and each hole was unique. I didn't score very well, but I had some great shots and the courses were very challenging to make the round fun, but required some strategic shot making. A few of the par 5's offer you a chance to play safe and layup or grit your teeth and go for it.
Fairways still green in middle of January
Course is in great shape, especially for mid January. Was super windy but it is usually breezy there so dress appropriately.
Excellent course
Excellent course, great condition, but bring your bug spray, mosquito’s by the thousands!
Beautiful day
First time playing and what a great experience. Tough but manageable with excellent maintenance to the course. Greens were fast and if you thought it would break you were wrong. This is now a course on my list for next year.
Nice course for the money
Having had trouble even finding a tee time in Myrtle Beach we were a bit skeptical when we found plentiful availability at The Pearl. Especially at $70. Turns out the course was very nice, the greens were smooth and pretty quick, the pace of play was great. We played in under 4 hours. We figure it must be the rather long drive from Myrtle that explains the availability. It was worth the drive
Fun course. It’s always in great shape with over seeded fairways. Greens were rolling slow, and the service was even slower. Probably my last time playing here, but it’s definitely a fun place to check out for winter golf.
30 Years later, it’s still a great track!
Played during cold snap with temps ranging from 46 to 59. Overseeding had been completed and fair ways were a luscious green. Greens were firm and fast. Bunkers were a fine, silica texture requiring some adjustment. Foliage had begun to turn and falling leaves were cleared from fairways and primary rough. The staff were courteous and friendly. The nineteenth hole provided tasty foods and a good selection of craft beers. Last played here 30 years ago and will return to the Pearl.again.
Very pretty course,
Great condition except teeing greens need mowed and the putting greens were very SLOW. I presume that's sure to the time of year.
I didn't think there was much pizzaz to the course.
However I know it's also a perennial favorite around Ocean Isle, Sunset Beach, and The Strand.
It's beautifully maintained, but with slow greens.
