Waste of time and money.
If you value golf then stay away from this course. This course should have a disclaimer that it is basically a cow pasture with 9 holes. Weeds everywhere including the fairway! The only positive I can say is if you need to go for a hike then this course is a good workout....just don't bring the clubs. This course is misrepresented in several golfing resources/reviews. Don't make a special trip to play this course. A complete waste of time!
Maintenance needed
Recent rains caused some areas to be sloppy, but we lost balls in the middle of the fairways due to lack of mowing in areas that were dry.
Value play
Played this 9 hole course and it was ok. Great value was compelling. Will play again.
Short practice walk
Had a couple of hours to kill and walked this course. Quite hilly but short & manageable. Tee & greens are very acceptacle.
Sunday morning outing
If you want some fresh air and don't mind dirt track walking (sometimes stiff hills), no need to use a driver and polish on your 7-9 irons, go for it.
What I heard was true
Need your hill climbing skills! Very challenging to walk with a cart. If I play it again I would carry and remove several clubs from my bag.
The greens had been plugged which should be publicized. The first hole was closed though several players who followed me played it anyway. Another issue that should be told up front.
The staff was extremely helpful.
Hard little 3
Shot a -3 from the Blues only due to my iron play.
The greens are VERY small and FAST but in the best shape ive ever seen them in. Good work EHills.
Get a nicer staff tho. They seem golf illiterate and bored and rude.
Challenging Par 3 Course
Inclines, postage stamp greens and thick grass adjacent to the greens all add up to a challenging round.
Good Exercise
For your legs and short game. The setting is beautiful, and it's a delightfully simple venue.
Only suggestion: an arrow at each green to the next Tee box.
Sort but very Challenging!
It's a beautiful course with a lot of Hills and Valleys that comes into play with your Depth Perception.
There were a lot of Jr. Players and Experienced Golfers carrying (2) Clubs and a Putter.
Lots of trouble if you don't hit greens.
Great tee to green hilly course. A few ponds to hit over.
Too short
It was disappointing to play only 6 holes again, as the first 3 holes were still under construction due to vandalism. Hope the fist 3 holes will be back in operation soon as the can be a good 9 holes course. $16 to play only 6 holes is rather disappointing. Good thing I got a deal for $5.
Under constructoin by PG&E
This course is difficult for a beginner who's only been playing for a year. Lost a lot of balls due to the slopes and inclined fairways. Oh right, there is no straight faiways, which makes this course very challenging. Newbies can't play ground ball riolling and expect to get to the green in one shot.
Great for any level of player
First two holes are the toughest in the Bay Area. After that it gets more manageable. Greens are small and flat with little room for error. Fun round of golf. Now the bad part; it's hilly. Really hilly. Plus if you get stuck behind two to four beginners pack a lunch. Check out the view of the pool from #4 green; good view.
Greens need help
Played nine holes and had a good time as always at this hilly course. They do not call it Goat Hill for nothing. My only complaint is the greens are in bad shape with lots of sand filling small holes. Might be because of the youth golf camp this summer. The greens are much better in the fall.
Elevation
Love the rise and drop in elevation to holes. From the first hole and continuing to the end.
EH Weekend Round
Course was in pretty good shape. I play here mostly to practice short game and have some beers. Two groups waved me through, as I was a single, otherwise would have been a slow day (teed off at noon).
Kudos to the course for having rebuilt many tee boxes, which used to be a big issue here. Greens were in great shape for a $16 par 3 course.
Pretty ok
Emerald Hills? More like Dirt Hills. This course was an ok value but is poorly maintained and a pretty difficult to play. More often than not, I had to tee off from a divoted, sandy, dirt patch to an obscure green that is equally divoted. I had fun playing because of the challenge but won't be returning anytime soon.
