Good for the intermediate golfer
3 different 9's - each quite unique. Fairways are a little rutted and have some bare spots, but all in all a fun course. Some of the tees are missing a lot of turf - and you have to be careful not to ground your clubs - some spots the rocks/ground is very hard - I broke a couple tees trying to get them into the ground. Water holes on some par-3s are very good risk-reward. Good elevation changes. All in all a fun, relaxed day. Look, this is not a country club - it is a public course. For the money, this is in very good condition and a lot of fun to play. No pretense here - just a decent course at a decent price.
The Best Atlanta Public Course
Bent grass greens in the heat of the South are in fantastic shape.
Love this course
This course is great. Challenging, shot making, but not impossible. One of the 3 courses was closed for green maint., but that didn't stop us from playing a third 9!
Great Public Course
I've played all three 9-hole links a number of times. It's a public course that maintains it's price range of around 30 bucks to play. The holes are pretty wide open on the Orchard and Logos side. The Rock Garden is a bit shorter but can be challenging if the player chooses to take chances. Pretty well maintained year round.
Greens excellent, other things need work
The greens are in excellent shape, especially for winter, and I think it is a very interesting layout.
A lot of little things around the course need attention. The tee boxes were not in good condition. The cart paths were very worn and uneven. Not much in the way of signage around the tee boxes. Little things like that. You can certainly tell it's a public course.
At $40 I think it's an OK value, but I don't think I could justify paying any more than that and driving from Atlanta, until some of the things I mentioned are improved.
Good rolling greens
I love the layout and look forward to returning. The greens were in excellent shape.
