Not bad for the price
I have played here a few times and it's a good course to go to because the price is always right and the condition of the course is always fair if not a little better. As always when you are dealing with courses that are about $20 to play there is always work that could be done to make it in better condition, but overall not bad.
SLOW!
Even though we went on Fathers Day, and expected slow play, It was way over booked with tournaments and groups of 5. It took us nearly 4 hrs to play 9 holes. Be warned!! They have a rep of over booking!
Nice practice facilities and decent price
This coarse was in pretty rough shape. The tee boxes needed some care , the fairways were in ok shape and the greens need a little TLC but for a city coarse not bad place to play. It is an average value.
Course is not maintained at a high level
The greens are slow and bumpy. It is 50/50 that your lie will be good in fairway. Traps were not raked by staff before play for the day began.
Good value track
San Bernardino Golf Club also known as the old Waterman course is an old school style track, with parallel fairways, tree lined holes and some water challenges. Not the longest course, but a fun course to play if you want to get a good 18 in. I'm not the best golfer but I can still have a good score on this course. Paid 25 bucks on a Saturday @12:30 tee time.
Great Golf Course to practice your short game.
Always have had a great round of golf at this golf course, and plan to play there more often.
Great value
Excellent well maintained course. Plenty of hazards.
Get a clue your in the entertainment buisness !
I just played this course yesterday for the San Bernardino County ametrur championship. What a joke! The greens are full of fungus and bumpy as can be,the fairways are full of holes that your ball will land in with no relief. Fairways have dirt patches that are not even marked as ground under repair. The assistant manager says welcome and enjoy yourself then turns around and presures the group to play faster even when the group behind you is not even close to the fairway behind you! I don't know why they host this event under these conditions. At least have a little hospitality. My foursome will not return for this so called championship. not to mention it cost over $200.00 for the event.
Fair course, good for beginners
I had not been to this course since since high school (10+) years. Pretty much as I remember, nothing has changed. I would consider it a beginner/hacker course so no need to worry about playing with someone of superior skill. Fairways are wide open but very BUMPY, greens could be better maintained as well. Hitting from the whites you can hit the green on multiple par 4's with a nice 300yard + roll drive. I'd play here again, but wouldn't be excited to tell everyone about it. Fair course for the money, although you can find many other nicer courses for around the same fee. We played it simply to switch it up a bit. We usually play Oak Valley, PGA Tukwet Canyon, Yucaipa Valley.
Short Coarse. But tree lined fairways add some difficulty.
HItting tee shot left or right will cost you a stroke or two on most holes. Fairway lies are poor 25% of the time which also makes hitting greens difficult. You will almost always score 3 or 4 shots higher then you should because that break you see in the green is not really there.......putt stright at hole.
Nice course. Greens need attention. Very rough and bumpy. Felt like we were playing over rocks painted green!!

Good deal for the price, pace good for Sunday morning
Had a good round good pace. Friendly staff. Has some challenging holes .
beautiful course..some water..some traps ..some doglegs
My favorite course...very fair and very playable for the average golfer..green and lots of trees
Poor quality, cheap price
The back 9 are sandwiched between a sewage treatment plant, school bus depot, and office buildings. There is quite a stench when you are downwind. It is the cheapest course in the area, though.
Any day on the golf course is better than being at work.
I only recommend this course to golfers if the price is right ($15-$25) or if you just play golf to have fun with your buddies. I don't feel this course has the proper conditions to play with a golfer that is working to be an ameture or better. If the course was prestine this course would be great for practicing your straight, fades, and draws off the tee. It has reachable 300+ Yrds par 4. Still a fun layout just wish they had better course conditions.
Was very flat and lots of trees
It is next to a sewage treatment plant so it does not smell pleasant at all times. Spring was in the air and a lot of pollen was in the air some parts of the coarse were white from so much pollen. Over all it was a nice round
Not impressed
I've played this course dozens of times over the year and this was my worst experience. The course (other than the greens) was in very poor condition. It was insanely crowded and slow. Also, we showed up 10 minutes before our tee time because I came straight from work and the guy at the front desk begins to lecture me and tells me I need to be here 15 minutes early so he pushed our tee time back 30 minutes. Seriously? He tried to lecture me over 5 minutes and put me behind 4 more groups?! What a joke! I was there before my tee time with time to warm up on the green.
The course is very cheap, so if you just want to play for cheap and don't care what the coarse looks like, how slow it is, or having a nice staff, come here.
Good Greens bad fairways
Value was good greens where in good shape. but fairways and the fringe where horrible like hitting off concrete.Overbooked and its cause of the cheap fees is my guess long round almost 5 hours.
priced right
Just golf. Winter conditions detracted from I am sure is a reasonbly nice public course.
