Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills - Blue Course
The Blue Course is one of four public courses offered at the Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills. Located in the city of Westminster, the Blue Course is a nine-hole, par-37 course that offers over 3,200 yards of golf. The nine holes of the course originally served as the front nine for another course on the premises, the Gold Course. Now, it stands alone as a regulation length nine-hole course and the Gold Course is a separate 18-hole course at the facility. Hyland Hills offers picturesque mountain views as well as finely manicured courses. Golf Digest even rated Hyland Hills' courses as part of Colorado's top 20 golf courses.

Golf Advisor: Top Courses in Colorado
Peace of play was really slow. Greens were very well kept. Staff was very good, very friendly and helpful. Driving range is a bargain.
Great course, terrible pace of play
The course itself was amazing. The greens were soft, fairways forgiving, and good sand in the bunkers. However, it took 3 hours and 15 minutes to play 9 holes. This is unacceptable and the pace of play needs to be monitored more closely.
As nice as the course was my only memory is playing behind a foursome of very old, very slow people. They thought nothing of hitting a second tee shot after their first shot barely made it off the tee box. The second shot was no better. No on-course marshals or monitors. 3 hours for 9 holes on an easy course. Avoid the blue course and play the gold. Gold course caters to real golfers.
Beautiful 9-hole course
We play here frequently while in the area. Good 9-hole course that works all the clubs in my bag. Great Mountain View’s are a bonus.
Everything went very smoothly. From checking in to playing 9 holes in 1.75 hours. Course in good condition for this time of year.
Majority of reviews must be from locals
Decided to drive from downtown to try out this course based on the overall good ratings. We were deeply disappointed from the first tee box. A group (3 carts) playing on an adjacent hole was driving around on hole one looking for balls and when finding them proceeded to play as it lied thus delaying our round. Directional signs were oddly placed for hole 3 making it a bit confusing (sign placed before bridge with arrow not after making it clear that it was down the path.) At hole 3 we caught up with a 4some that made the pace of play exhaustingly slow ( waited 5-10 minutes on each hole to either tee off or approach the green) no ranger even though two more groups were backing up behind us. At hole 7 we were clearing the green on 6 they teed off then drove over to make a pit stop at the bar cart. Waiting again at 8 the group behind us caught up and the group behind them was approaching the green. 2hrs and 40 minutes to play 9? Unreasonable.
They indicate "Proper Golf Attire Required" I guess that includes blue jean's, cargo shorts, and tee shirts.
Cart paths are in horrible shape, tee boxes filled with unaddressed divots, dead spots in fairways, and non existent ranger. The bar a has a separate liquor license from the golf course so you have to either wait for the bar cart or call for service.
Only bright spot was the greens, excellent condition, very challanging and super fast.
All and all if you are thinking about driving any distance to play check out your other options.
Beautiful course in great condition!
This was a perfect course for my husband and I to play a quick 9 while in Denver. The course was in great condition.
We played on Memorial Day at 11am, pace was really good considering how busy the course was and the course was in good shape. The pace of play clocks on the tee boxes help you be aware of your pace which i think helps. $22 for 9 holes on a holiday at prime time seemed like a great deal to me. The beverage cart covers both the gold and blue course so it can be a while between visits there is the only thing that could be a knock on the amenities. The course layout is pretty tight to the gold course so you might end up with some cross over on bad shots. Recommend the course and will be back.
Great 9 hole
Stay here and town and it's a quick and easy 9 holes. Great value for the money. Course is kept well, and A good balance of challenging and open fairways.
For the price, this is a very nice course. There are some challenges along the way.
Good place to play!! Sometimes a little slow but always super fun
Hyland hills blue course
Great day for golf. A bit breezy but had awesome round. Love playing the 9 hole regulation.
Fun 9-hole course
When in the Denver area we enjoy playing the 9-hole Blue course because of its variety and challenges.
Love this course, grew up on this course but I don't understand why the restaurant where you purchase food and drink won't allow us to take our beers or cocktails on the course? The restaurant workers were very rude when we tried to purchase beverages from them to take on the course! Why would you have two separate places in one place?smh they need to get it together. Sincerely a loyal golfer.
