Decided to drive from downtown to try out this course based on the overall good ratings. We were deeply disappointed from the first tee box. A group (3 carts) playing on an adjacent hole was driving around on hole one looking for balls and when finding them proceeded to play as it lied thus delaying our round. Directional signs were oddly placed for hole 3 making it a bit confusing (sign placed before bridge with arrow not after making it clear that it was down the path.) At hole 3 we caught up with a 4some that made the pace of play exhaustingly slow ( waited 5-10 minutes on each hole to either tee off or approach the green) no ranger even though two more groups were backing up behind us. At hole 7 we were clearing the green on 6 they teed off then drove over to make a pit stop at the bar cart. Waiting again at 8 the group behind us caught up and the group behind them was approaching the green. 2hrs and 40 minutes to play 9? Unreasonable.
They indicate "Proper Golf Attire Required" I guess that includes blue jean's, cargo shorts, and tee shirts.
Cart paths are in horrible shape, tee boxes filled with unaddressed divots, dead spots in fairways, and non existent ranger. The bar a has a separate liquor license from the golf course so you have to either wait for the bar cart or call for service.
Only bright spot was the greens, excellent condition, very challanging and super fast.
All and all if you are thinking about driving any distance to play check out your other options.
Beautiful course in great condition!
This was a perfect course for my husband and I to play a quick 9 while in Denver. The course was in great condition.
We played on Memorial Day at 11am, pace was really good considering how busy the course was and the course was in good shape. The pace of play clocks on the tee boxes help you be aware of your pace which i think helps. $22 for 9 holes on a holiday at prime time seemed like a great deal to me. The beverage cart covers both the gold and blue course so it can be a while between visits there is the only thing that could be a knock on the amenities. The course layout is pretty tight to the gold course so you might end up with some cross over on bad shots. Recommend the course and will be back.
Great 9 hole
Stay here and town and it's a quick and easy 9 holes. Great value for the money. Course is kept well, and A good balance of challenging and open fairways.
For the price, this is a very nice course. There are some challenges along the way.
Good place to play!! Sometimes a little slow but always super fun
Hyland hills blue course
Great day for golf. A bit breezy but had awesome round. Love playing the 9 hole regulation.
Fun 9-hole course
When in the Denver area we enjoy playing the 9-hole Blue course because of its variety and challenges.
