Country club feel
From driving up to leaving you feel like you’re at a country club. We got there, had our bags taken, paid and told we could head over to the range for unlimited practice. The range was gorgeous btw. We then got to the first hole and the starter gave us a great and detailed overview of the course. It’s early April and we’ve had a cold few weeks so not everything is in full bloom but it was still gorgeous. Especially the bridge leading to 18 that was lined with tulips. I would love to see it in June. The course isn’t long but protects itself with strategic bunkers and water. It’s not particularly narrow so that’s not a worry. The island fairway was also pretty cool but I missed it so far right that I was safe lol. The greens still had aeration marks but were fast, so peak season they’ll be lightning. The par threes are the true gem of this course. Definitely need to come back
Aeration In December
I’ve been waiting to play this course for a long time. I’m a 7-handicap weekend warrior, but with the $180–$200 summer rates, it’s always been out of reach. So, when I saw a deal for $45, I jumped on it.
The layout? Absolutely fantastic. There were some really interesting designs, challenging holes, and great risk/reward setups. I had a blast—except for the winter management of the course.
Most of the tee boxes were closed, except for the whites. Couldn’t ride into the fairways, and the greens were aerated. I get it, that’s probably why the rate was so low, but it was still a bit disappointing. Honestly, I’ve never seen a course do aeration this close to December.
That said, it’s a great course, and I’d love to play it again under better conditions. If the rate was in the $100–$120 range, I’d definitely be back.
Friendly,Excellent
The staff was super friendly and very attentive from the time we dropped our bags off and throughout the round, the driving range was exceptional, practice areas, and greens were something else, The course was in exceptional shape and the GPS in the and the cart was nice,an Island Fairways is always interesting. Would highly recommend.
This course was fun to play challenging. I will be back. I played a twilight because at least the rates for me were more manageable.
Not Letting us finish
This great course to play. Was very disappointed to find out we couldn’t finish the round. At hole 17 we were told this was our last hole. It was 7:12pm still had 15-20 mins daylight left. When we pulled up to 18 great hole for finishing the group in front of us finished hitting. We could have got it in.
Variety at Baywood Greens
Many golf courses have holes with different lengths, shapes, and topography.
Hazards on the course include the rough, sand bunkers adjacent to the fairways and around the greens, and ponds, streams, and creeks near most of the holes at Baywood greens.
The greens on the course come in a variety of shapes and contours that challenge even the best of putters to control the ball so that it falls in the hole.
However, the quality of excellence Included in every aspect of golf, including the course, practice facilities, clubhouse and course assistants Is usually found only in the best private golf country clubs, and almost never at public courses.
Thanks for making my day at Baywood Greens awesome.
Challenging
Challenging course as usual. Course conditions a bit distressed presumingly from recent storms. Still a beautiful track.
Good value in a public course
I gave the course a four star rating. It would have been a five except for the slow play and exceedingly slow greens. Definitely a good value for the money! Bring a few extra balls as there is a lot of water on the back nine.
