Greens were to hard
Greens were to hard balls would roll off would not stay on them
This course is a good value.
Good value for beginning player, however course needs some work. I would play here again and recommend to a friend
Avoid this course
This was one of the worst courses I have ever played. You can't tell the difference between the rough and the fairway. This course needs to be $10 all day everyday. Avoid this course.
OK course.
Greens mostly fair to good, very puttable.Fairways OK also.Lot of curves on a number of holes that mostly require you work the ball one way or the other.Decent course.
Great experience!
This is a well maintained municipal course. It is challenging but still enjoyable to the average golfer.
Holes were fun and challenging with the flexibility to help new golfers with their game.
I caught the course on a weekday, so the pace of play was quick especially for a single. Only caught two groups, both of which allowed me to play through without prompting.
It was apparent the grounds were in need of work although I wasn't expecting much for an early spring round with dormant grass. The course certainly has potential for some beautiful holes, but just probably lacks the funding which plagues many municipal city owned courses.

Very open and easy course.
A great course for beginners. I took my kids for there first time on a course and they had a blast.
New greens are great!
For an older small town municipal course, the new greens (2012) really made it a better experience. Fairways were weedy & hard, but it is winter. Layout is open, fairways wide. Very little water.
Interesting layout and use of limited land. Course and carts well maintained.
For a public course, it was in great shape. Greens were in pristine condition and fast (Bermuda). Some fairways were just okay (a little hard and not much contrast from rough). Overall, a good experience.
The new greens are fast but great.
This is a great small town golf course and has steadily improved over the last year
You get what You paid for
Greens in good shape very fast Fairways and T-Boxes need
some attention
Good for the money
They just re-did all 18 greens and move several and now they roll great. A good course for the money, and you can score on it, however, it cn take your lunch if you do not play smart.
new champions bermuda greens are very nice
course is in very good condition, rough can be very difficult at times. new champions bermuda greens are very nice and continue to improve
This course has extemely nice greens year round. The winter rye grass adds additonal beauty during cold months to the fairways.
Recently, three of my family visited Georgia for Christmas (2012). One among them is a high 70's shooter. He shot a 93 on Griffin Golf Course. During the round, he praised the course and couldn't believe how nice the course was for the money. After the round, he commented that the course was tough due to the length on some of the holes.
This course always remains a value all year. The course is mowed, greens maintained better year round than Canongate. A real value.
