Wolf Hollow Golf Club

About
Wolf Hollow Golf Club originally opened in 1928 as Lena Golf Club. The course tumbles across northwest Illinois' gently rolling hills, incorporating quite a few elevation changes into the layout. The golf course has a true risk-reward design that will thoroughly test your shot-making abilities. With proper course management and a bit of luck, there are several birdie opportunities to be had. Measuring in at just over 6,400 yards from the back tees, the course manages to give you a few lengthy holes but it will also put your short-game skills to the test. The 16th is one of Wolf Hollow Golf Club's most intimidating holes because this par 4 has trouble everywhere. A creek and tall grasses guard the left of the fairway and the small green requires a nearly perfect approach shot.

Great course
I liked everything about this course the green turn really good shape tee boxes sand traps Fairways all top notch Rolling Hills beautiful scenery. Had a really great time and I'll be back
Improvements noted
We played our first round of the season over the weekend and were pleasantly surprised by the course conditions. They have been working hard on improving the entire course and it’s very noticeable. The forward tees especially have been upgraded on almost every hole and they’re well groomed. The improved areas are still growing in on several greens and some fairway spot are still under repair but overall in great shape for mid spring. Can’t wait to come back again
One of our favorites!
Due to the hills you need a spotter to make sure the group ahead is clear! The bell works good on the one hole.
Fun, challenging course
This course tests all of your skills in golf.
I will be back!!!
Awesome challenging course
Except for some blemishes on the greens
(probably from extensive play) the course was in great shape. I would play it more often if it was closer to where I live. I will recommend it to everyone. A great time!
Exemplary Course!
Beautiful and well maintained championship course, I reccomend to all skills of golfers. I tee from blues and do great. Very important to know how and what shots to take. Hooks and fades are important on drives. The average golfer teeing from whites will have a very fair time as well. Great place with many opportunities for the bogey golfer to correct themselves too.
Wolf hollow is a fantastic champions course
I’m a minor pro and it was my first time playing here, I did 18 holes and it was great, I shot 9 over on 18, with many many birdie chances. The greens were in great shape and conditions were challenging as it was a windy day but if you know what club to use and know how to hit draws and slice correctly, you will be perfectly fine. Lotts of dog legs off the tee. Great course for the scratch golfer or bogey guy to learn the importance of shot placement!
