Old Oak Country Club
About
Old Oak Country Club is situated only 20 minutes from Chicago, but the beautifully wooded terrain shaded by mature oaks and hickory trees, makes it feel as though it's much further away. Originally opened in 1926, the golf course is one of the area's oldest and even one of the oldest in the state. It has undergone many renovations over the years but it still retains its classic character. The layout offers plenty of variety with drivable par 4s and lengthy par 5s. The rolling topography provides many of the golf course's challenges, from the rolling fairways and undulating greens to the elevated tees and blind shots. Mature trees tower over the fairways, adding another tricky element to the golf course. Old Oak Country Club is challenging but fair and still quite playable, which is why it has long been a local favorite.

Just ok
The course is in ok shape. It’s a fun layout but nothing special. The staff isn’t very friendly. I was questioned by the starter about a collared shirt as I was getting out of my car in the parking lot. It was $42 on GolfNow plus a $5 cart key deposit that was good for a “free” pitcher of lite beer when you return it. Seems strange to encourage drinking a pitcher of beer before you drive home?!?
Great place to play in south suburbs
Awesome track. Greens in good shape. It will challenger you but the holes are fun.
A little slow
The course was in good condition. Everyone was very friendly just on the slow side with the pace.
First time visit
Nice course. Friendly staff. Would play there again in the future.
Would of given it more stars only issue sand traps were bad not enough sand but it seems like most of courses I’ve played this year the traps were bad but hopefully and definitely will play this course many more times.Didn’t use any off course amenities and staff were very friendly great layout greens in very good shape
Good course
It was my first time playing this course. Course was well manicured, and the greens rolled well. Some greens had unrepaired ball marks. Most traps had enough sand in them, others were short of sand. Good layout on the course. Would definitely play there again.
Horrible bunkers
I use to love this challenging course whe. There was actual sand in the bunkers. Now it's just dirt and rocks will not coming back here anytime soon u less they fix the horrible bunker situation.
Awful
Booked a two some along with 4 other groups at same time. It took 3 hours and 15 minutes to play NINE HOLES! It’s bunched up with too many tee times and league. They should let people tee off the back to start. It was wide open. Especially if most of league guys only playing nine. This is the second time in a row where they show many tee times available and then you get there and it’s 4 foursomes deep on first tee. I like this COURSE but I won’t be back anytime soon. Greed sucks
Old Oak Country Club
Pretty layout, moderately challenging course in good condition. Pace of play is relatively slow. Not the friendliest staff and has insider, cliquey vibe.
