Cape Neddick Country Club occupies a scenic stretch of rugged Maine coastline, just 45 minutes south of Portland and just over an hour north of Boston. The gentle start offered by the front nine is nicely balanced with the more challenging back nine. Be sure to build up your score on the player-friendly first half because greater accuracy will be required for the final stretch of the golf course. With plenty of variety among all of the holes, the layout will test your skill with different types of shots. There are a variety of elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic, providing tricky uphill and downhill lies. The contours are complemented by strategically placed bunkers that lurk along the challenging greens. Water hazards also come into play on several holes at Cape Neddick Country Club.

Slow play interfared with a fun layout.

There was no starter. No surprise at the "behind schedule" comment from one of three pro shop employees. I guess they were too important to perform starter duties. There was also no course employees keeping the pace moving. It was frustrating to see open holes around the course at the same time we were waiting on every shot. We actually left after 15 holes due to the slow play. The golf course was in very good condition. Most of the greens rolled nicely on a fun layout in a great location off the Maine Coast.

Course plays tougher than it looks.

Course had several elevated tees which tempt your drive. Some holes, especially the back 9 have narrow landing areas which make what looked like a great drive either in the rough, or in a pond you didn't think was in play.

Staff was very welcoming, and players courteous.

Would definitely play again, but more cautiously ! Shot 5 strokes worse on back 9 vs front.

What a deal!

This course is a value at the regular price;but, with our GolfNow deal it was super. Although there had been heavy rains recently, the course was in excellent shape...kudos to the course superintendent.

Fun course at a great price

This course is always fun - - do not let the short yardage fool you into thinking the course is easy. My wife & I played in July 2013 after a lot of rainfall and the course was in good shape - - especially the greens which rolled quickly.

This was the first time I used GolfNow and was able to save 30%+ over the normal rate if I had called the pro shop directly!! Thank you for providing a good service at a fair price.

After the round, make sure to stop off at the 19th Hole to sample some Sea Dog blueberry beer on the deck. If you like blueberries, this local beer will certainly quench your thirst.

Too many member tee times back to back which caused slow play.

Is a convenient course to play if vacationing in the area, but have patience for slow play. Front nine short and relatively easy. Back nine good test of golf and make sure to hit it straight.

Fun course to play

A fun course to play, small greens, well mantained and every hole is different.
Only drawback, we could not finish 18 holes because of league play that started at 3:00 pm from both tees. Once we got behind the league at the turn it became impossible to finish. Avoid Tuesdays and Thursdays after 12:00.

One of the better courses in the area

Course was in good condition for the start of the season. Busy, but good pace of play. The Hot Deal was a great value.

Very Challenging

Course was in great shape. The rough was left very long making it tough to hit from .

It's just a great round of golf, that makes you use every club in your bag.

This is my 2nd round on this course, and its just a neat course. Gives you opportunity to use all your clubs in your bag. Fairways are in good shape, along with the greens being very well groomed. Just a real enjoyable course to play.
