Stevie Wonder would love this course. Lots of blind shots!
Course was in great shape except for the greens. It was the middle of February but the greens were very patchy and rough. If they would have cut them and rolled them it would have been better.
This is a very hilly course with a lot of blind shots. If you never played here before get a yardage book or you will be in trouble.
Tee boxes and fairways were in excellent shape.
They switched the front nines and the back nines and they need to switch the scorecards to reflect the change.
All in all this is a very challenging course that will test your game.
I would recommend this course but I hope the greens roll true next time.
Played for a golf now price of $20 so it was a good deal.
Golf in MD in the middle of February, NICE!
Little Bennett, Great Benefit
This course is superb. Layout is gorgeous, condition of course is great, even in January - looks like Springtime. Don't miss the chance to play it.
Couldn't play full round because of the fog......but plan to go back when weather is finer.
Great location although couldn't see it's full potential due to weather conditions. Some very challenging holes. We will certainly go back.
One of the best MCG run courses
Little Bennett is my favorite of the MCG courses. Defnitely not a course to walk though since there are frequent elevation changes, and the rolling burms lining many of the fairways make finding your ball more difficult. I also like that quite a few holes require some thought about club selection and if you like to just grip it an rip it, you probably want to stick with a flatter course like NW or Poolesville. They seem to have recently cut back quite a bit on the staffing and ammenities, but they do keep the greens in good shape and that is what really counts anyway. It's also just far enough from the metro area to limit traffic, so you don't find yourself waiting at every hole like Falls Road or Needwood. My biggest gripe is that they need to increase the govenor on the carts as they seem to max out too slow, especially going up some of those hills. I wanted to get out and push a couple times. :)
Great course.
Great course with a lot of elevation changes. Fast greens with a lot of slope. This course is quite a challenge. A must play!
Greens can be impossible
This course is in the best shape I've ever seen it. The greens are hard and fast. The fairways are in great shape. A few greens had the pin in absurd positions, making the course a little to punitive for the average golfer.
Poorly Managed
When I arrived for my 1:20 tee time yesterday on Veterans day 11/12/13 I was told by the manager that the rate I got on Golf Now was a mistake, but since I had my print out he would honor it. Apparently he meant it to start today after the holiday but he may me feel like it was my fault and that he was doing me the favor. I should have left at that point. I stuck around and played and the course was overbooked. Only got in 10 holes although the coupon was for unlimited play. This course use to be a favorite of mine, but I will choose P.B. Dye from now on. It would have also be nice to have a ranger that could have at least encouraged speed of play with some of the groups.
This course was in great shape
This was my first time playing this course. The course was in great shape fairways great greens roll true. Just wished the greens would hold your approach shot a little better. If you get a chance to play this course go. Got a great deal on golf now.
very good shape green fast and challanging
gret deal, very nice layout, greens fast with lots of slopes. Depending on which tee box used every level of play will have challanges and fun.
Lots of trick shots so practice up on your putt putt golf
The course was in decent shape - 1 to 10 I'd say 6.There were too many blind shots for me. This was my first time playing here and even when I thought I hit a good shot it was hard to find. There is no premium for hitting it long no matter how straight - leave the driver home.
Extremely challenging, a lot of hills and the greens are deceptive
Enjoyed the course, it was challenging but rewarding. I did not anticipate the hilly and elveated fairways. I enjoyed the elevated greens. I would differently recommend to a friend.
This course is very hilly.
This was the first time I have played this course. The value was great with practice balls and lunch provided, all at a reasonable price. The course was in good shape and the practice facility was particularly nice. I was impressed with the repair work that was being performed on the course, seeding small imperfections. I'm a 22 handicaper and the hills were simply challenging. Several holes required hitting blind shots and the greens were difficult to read.
Greens of moderate speed.
The staff at the course was very friendly and helpful.
