nice but slow
The staff is amazing. I didn't save any money by booking through golfnow which was disappointing. Make sure to look at the "% saved."
Im assuming because Saturday was a wash out, the course over booked tee times on Sunday. We had a 25 min wait for our tee time. Then we were sent behind a SLOW foresome. I would suggest that you provide a cart for those groups in order to speed up play. Also, it would have been nice for you to offer a small bucket of range balls since we had such a long wait. The greens had airatted....not much you can do but they were difficult to play on.
great track
if your going in the morning get the sausage egg and cheese on white toast best you will every have!
the staff is great and very helpful.
course is in great shape! don't be tricked by its length, it my look short but plays tuff. very fun and enjoyable course.
the only problem I have is that their web site wasn't working so I signed up to golf now to make my tee time, waste of 9$ ! I should have just called the club house, not real happy about the 9 dollar charge from golf advisor to make a tee time I could have done for free.
Loved the course
Should have rangers keeping the pace of play moving. Very slow foursome in front of us. Needed someone to push them along.
Excellent conditions
Despite the rain, the course drains very well. Greens were rather quick too. Excellent course for beginners and experienced players.
Always a fun course
Laytonsville continues to be a fun course to play. Although not very long from the tips it has enough variety of hole layouts to keep even the low handicapper having to work for par.
Good course, great price
My favorite course in Montgomery county. Open course but has some very challenging greens.
sunday at laytonsville
usually i expect a long wait at laytonsville, a course that is normally very crowded. my tee time was 1:36, and we tee'd off at 1:30, which is nice to tee off early, but i timed my warmup so 1:30 -1:36 i could putt. the starter rushed me to tee off, so i wasn't able to hit 1 practice putt. there was only hot dogs being offered, for $5.25 !?!? with no other food available. Other than that and the almost healed airieated greens, it was a nice day. great weather, good pace of play.
Friendly, helpful staff,
Greens extremely hard, have not yet recovered from aeration last month.
This is the one!
This course is he best all around, hands down. he conditions, price and staff are all top notch. this will be my go to course for the year.
very good
The course was in great condition and I enjoyed playing the course.
Course in Fabulous Shape
totally impressed with the condition of the course. Tees, Greens, Fairways all in great shape. Rough was cut to reasonable length. Can't wait to play there again.
great course
excellent course to play. some holes more difficult than others but all a round fun place to play.
Very fair course
Love to play this course. You don't have to play great to score. You can make mistakes and still score. Greens are to fast for me. But I need to learn to putt better. Very fun course food very good and priced average. You get your money's worth. The only thing they need to do is upgrade there carts. Out of date and seats are tourn. Come on guys spend the money and be the best you can be. Thanks.
Good walking course
This course is well maintained and enjoyable to walk. The only problem is that it is a slow place to play starting mid-day since there are a lot of older age and beginner players on the course.
Course is very playable
Course is in very good condition. Front nine is short. Par 4's about 300 yds. Back nine plays longer. Par 4's on the back are about 400 yds.
great course for beginners and novice player s.
Has a little bit of everything ie sand traps. Water. Dogwoods to both sides. . Friendly staff and no one rushes your pace of plsy. Will definently b coming back.
Great Conditions for this time of year
Greens were in great condition and fairways were very good.
Great value and good challenge for this "short-ish" course
Course is fair and although short, short requirements hold your attention. Greens are true.
Challenging course that will test every bit of your game
I've played Laytonsville several times this year and enjoyed the experience every time. For golfers looking to test all aspects of their game, this is a well maintained course that deserves your consideration. The par 3's are long and tough from the tips, but are reachable if you club up to offset the uphill locations. If you have a fade shot off the tee box, you are going to really like this course since most of the holes either have a slight dogleg right or open up on the right. The par 5's are especially tough because of their length and uphill approach shorts. In short, I recommend this course if you are looking to test and improve your game.
Groundskeeper should be applauded...
Exceptionally friendly staff, greens are beautiful, could use a marshall on Friday/Saturday/Sunday.
