Squirrel Run Country Club
About
Squirrel Run Golf Club offers some of the most scenic golf on the South Shore of Boston. The course is an executive layout that is gentle enough for beginners and even juniors to tackle with confidence. There are no par 5s on the golf course, most of the holes are under 140 yards. Even though you may not need distance, a strong short game will take you far on this course. Rough borders the fairways and there are a few strategically placed bunkers framing the greensides. Squirrel Run Golf Club is a very forgiving golf course overall and it may not be the most formidable test but there are a few tricky holes, like the par-3 13th. This is the golf course's signature hole that plays from an elevated tee over water to a green that slopes from back to front, and if that wasn't enough, the entire hole is at the mercy of the prevailing winds.

Dad's favorite course
My Dad loves everything about this course and the friendliest staff south of Boston.
Basically par 3 course with 4 par 4s, and conditions are impeccable.
If you are looking to improve your short game or a course that is comfortable for all ages including my 79 year old Dad visit Dave and his friendly staff at Squirrel Run!
Thank you,
Mike Burns
Great course!!
Excellent course, perfect for a beginner golfer to practice the short game, it is in impeccable shape, greens are great and challenging, flow very nicely, I'll definitely play there again.
Great par 3 course
Course is well maintained. Great course to work on your short game.
Perfect for beginners
A par 3 course for beginners that didn’t forget that beauty and ease of play will go a long way toward motivating a newbie to play more and improve!!
FUN
If you like to swing easy and enjoy yourself, this is heaven on earth. On the other hand, if you're take the game too seriously, consider walking Pinehills. This course is a blast no matter how you play. I wish there were identical courses in every city town and countryside.
Beautiful
One of the better executive courses around. Fast pace of play, excellent condition.
Hot at the Squirrel
Very hot and humid. Glad the staff sent out a cart with water for sale. Had two bottles but needed the third to finish the course
Bring your 120 shot
First time playing and don’t let the short yardage fool you or stop you from playing here. Good test of accuracy all day long. Fun layout and good conditions. Greens ran a little slower than some of the big courses, but true to the break. With nobody in front of us, we played 18 in 2 hours. The 100-120 shot becomes redundant, but still a challenge on each hole with that distance (felt like at least half of them). The par 4s on the front are fun. Longer hitters can leave the driver in the car and really just work on hitting the greens. Will go back for that practice and to get revenge on a few of the holes.
Thank you for reviewing us. We see you rated the course 3-stars and are interested in learning what we can do to improve before your next round. Feel free to comment on this review or reach out to the team in the golf shop. We always appreciate the feedback. Thank you for playing Squirrel Run Country Club, and we hope to see you again soon.
