Fun for a quick round
It’s early in the year so I didn’t expect the course to be glowing. Traps were well kept and soft though so hats always a telltale. Staff is always great and they have a rewards program. It’s the perfect place for a quick 9 after work or to take the wife.
Good course to sharpen your irons
Perfect short 9 hole course to work on your irons before real season starts.
Good Sunday afternoon 9, great Oct weather
Course is in decent shape. Round had minimal waiting for groups ahead. The greens had not been cut and had some debris on them, which made putting an adventure.
I always enjoy golfing Hampton
Hampton golf course is a great value and conveniently located. The staff is always wonderful, and the course is well-kept. A pretty easy course to navigate, great for beginner and intermediate golfers.
Great for quick round
I can start at 6:20 and be home before 8 after leaving work. It's a great course for people who don't hit the ball far. I took my wife here for her first round ever and she had a blast. Wouldn't take the guys there unless we were really pressed for time simply because of how short it is but it is made for that! Fun little course in general. Yelp reviews are old and the greens look great now.
Great neighborhood course
Hampton Golf Club is a great go-to course for a quick round of 9-hole golf. It offers 3 par-3 holes with the remaining holes being shorter par-4 holes. Very friendly staff. Great course for walking enjoy one of their carts and ride. Excellent course for value and venue. :)
Can't beat it for the price
Golfed this course many times last year and wasn't impressed, but this year they really stepped up their game. The course is in amazing condition. Only issue is there are a lot of geese at this location, but not hamptons fault. I would recommend!
Slow Going!!!
I left the course after two holes due to a log jam on 3. A lot of kids playing here. I'd bring my son for a round but not somewhere I'd go to try & shoot a real round of golf.
Friday 7/3/2015 review
As you might expect the course was crowded. The cashier was not having a good day and was somewhat testy. I like to get to the course early and he took exception to that. I did not ask to start early, I just showed up early. The ranger put us out about 15 minutes before our tee time. It was okay by me but I'm sure the cashier didn't care for it. My family and I have been using this application to book tee times at Hampton every week this season. Perhaps this is their way of telling us they don't need out business.
Great for beginners
Nice course for beginners. Very forgiving. Pace of play is absolutely horrible.
Hampton G.C., Rochester, Mich.
Great quick nine for a good price. Short course where you can hit some nice shots, with a few challenging holes.
Hampton 9 for seniors
This is a great place for the average hitter. The greens are well taken care of. It is very nice to not see any cars while playing golf. Each hole has its own personality. I look forward to returning.
old trees
because of all of the old trees throughout the course the cart path is not usable, the roots have undergrown the cart path and make the path not usable you're better off walking the course than riding a cart.the tee boxes are all terrible as to their
conditions. there are lots of ducks and geese on the course, something to be aware of, your always walkin in some type of droppings.one other thing the course is surrounded by residential housing and there is no walking onto private property to retrieve a golf ball there are ropes up and other obstacles that prevent you from getting your golf ball.I will not come back to this golf course!
nice & quick
played at 6pm on Sunday for $10 walking, nice little executive 9 hole course that does not have any par 5's so no need for any woods.
pretty simple layout in nice surroundings, but the cart paths are in terrible condition & there is a lot of geese cra* on the holes by the lake.
only takes about 1 hour to get around walking.
ducks
I know theres not much they can do but there were way too many ducks and alot of duck feces on the green
Pleasant course, great value
The Hampton GC is a reasonable value for a 9 hole round, even without the GolfNow deal that I enjoyed. A solid, albeit on the short side, course that is nicely maintained, it was a great way to spend a couple of hours on a beautiful afternoon.
Great spot for beginning couples
I first picked up the clubs last year and my girlfriend picked them up this year. This course is great for us! We never felt usher, play wasn't slow and the course is nice and short. It will make you feel great about your game!
I had 3 incredible bounces on the course. So, I love it already from that. She was able to drive the greens on the par 3 with ease and that made her feel great.
We will be back. Again and again!
