Gem in a small town.
All around great. Fun and challenging course with lots of undulations. Well kept fairways and greens. You must play Kimball in you are near it.
Kimball Golf
Play this course a few times a year when we are in the area.
Excellent and personalized customer service.
Beautiful course
Very nice course with great scenery, staff was very welcoming!
Harder tan I expected
At over 6300 yards off the white tees this course proved more difficult than I expected. There are several "risk vs. reward" situations present. The greens were excellent although they were treated with a coloring agent. Several blind approached are a challenge for first timers there and in a couple of situations the distance to carry water is a bit much but attainable. Nice to play a course with no homes lining the fairways for a change!
Great value for an above average course
Course has made some nice updates in the last couple years including new carts. Challenging course in great condition and the people could not be any nicer!
Nice staff
Very nice course and staff was very pleasant. Challenging 18 hole course.
Very enjoyable and challenging
Very nice course with a very adventurous layout. Very challenging with a lot of shots that are blind with trouble abounding. This course will test your shot making nerves but still plays fair and does have room if you are hitting accurately. One minor issue, the fairways could be cut shorter, but this is a very minor issue. Had a great time playing and when in the area, will definitely play again. The finishing 4 holes are as tough as they come and if you are shooting well, I suggest you play conservatively to preserve your score. For whatever reason, the 16th, par 3 is rated the 14th toughest hole. Don't believe it, long par 3 with trouble all around and immediately off the green. Requires an accurate t-shot! Very good time and pace of play that morning was excellent.
brighter moments dury dreary day
course was in really good condition and had fun playing even though the weather could have been sunnier and warmer
Kimball GC
Very nice course. Good overall condition. Greens were in nice shape. the best value round I have played. "Hot Deal" on Golf Now was $18.00 a player with cart for 18. sweet!!
Best course thus far
My friend and I have been trying out one new course each week. Kimball golf club was an amazing experience and I'm definitely going back. The staff was very inviting and the course was immaculate. I was really surprised being it was such a small town. The course was fun to play andhad some challenges. #15 green is on an island and I got really lucky pitching it within three feet. I highly recommend this course considering its playability and the overall experience.
Great Course for your money
This course was a great 18 for the cost of play. I would play this course again and recommend this one to others.
Fun, beautiful and challenging course!
I played this course for the first time July 2nd and again on July 3rd. The course is in excellent condition! Greens are small and in great shape. The course is hilly (take a cart) and has many mature oak & other trees. Other than the island green hole which needs a fair landing area off the tee, all the holes are fair with enough challenges for any golfer. It's a lot of fun if you like to shape your shots; which will come in handy on many of the holes due to doglegs and uneven terrain. With the smaller greens, you'll need a good short game around the greens. I played 18 both days in 2.5 hours in the AM! Go play!
excellent golf course and perfect price... just go and enjoy
this course is one of the best course i have played so far.. fairway and green and well maintained and over all view of the course is in perfect condition. it was a windy day, other than that i have no complain whatsoever. with such a cheap shocking deal .it is just a jackpot to get to play such a cheap price.. kinda far from twincities around 1 and 20 minutes drive but if u carpool with ur buddy it is worth it... all my friends were amaze with the course condition. they want to play here again.
very pleasant surprise
A hidden gem im from Chicago suberbs found course very challenging /would play again when in area a true test of skills alot of sidehill lies
Worth the Drive
Approximately 60 miles from the Twin Cities , the Kimball golf course is well worth the drive. The course is well-maintained and the only critical aspect is the small greens and lack of bunkers. The last five holes present a challenge for any golfer and includes some very interesting the art and well designed holes. Overall, the staff was very friendly and the pace of play was excellent. Well worth the drive.
Kimball rocks!
I love this course! It has complex greens and old trees that come into play. Walking this course is a big workout! The staff is super friendly and helpful.
I enjoy the course because it is hilly and I don't get that at many other courses.
This course is rural and a little rough around the edges but a good value on golfnow.com. Very hilly which means always take a cart.
Nice layout. Has some blind shots to deal with.
Overall, this is a good course. The course has been effected by the dry conditions of late. Pace of play was very quick. The course could use some attention to details, i.e. mow the fairways one more time per week and irrigate some dry areas on the fairways.
All in all, had a good time and will play Kimball again.
Course has a nice layout with challenging greens
The course has several interesting holes that take advantage of the rolling hills. The irrigated areas in the fairways and around the greens were in great shape. The other areas were dry because of the lack of rainfall. The length of the course was appropriate for average hitters. Good to excellent putting is needed to score well on the quick and sloped greens.
Nice variety
This course is well maintained and has plenty of variety in the layout. Some blind shots can be very challenging and the "island green" is pretty unique. Fun course to play that we try to get back to at least once every year. You won't be disappointed.
