Always fun
Great layout, always in good condition, except for2 or 3 greens. Rough was longer than normal.
greens were fair, not slow nor slippery fast.
My only complaint was the ranger telling us we were falling behind and at one point telling us we were one and a half holes behind and when we got to the 18th tee the group in front of us was hitting approach to green. We stopped at turn to get drinks and food and use the restroom. We even had to wait on four holes on the front. Practice facility is the one of the best around with three different greens, chipping green and sand trap green and excellent range.
Cherry Creek - MI
Very fun course to play. It has a lot of blind shots and broken fairways, so consult the yardage book in the carts before teeing off.
Its well worth playing and the fairways and greens are in very good shape.
Great course - very slow
I left after 9 holes - took over 3 hours. The staff was very polite and range balls are included.
Very nice course to play.
I always have good things to say about Cherry Creek. This was the second time I played and had an overall nice experience. The facility is very nice. They have a practice range, putting greens, and chipping areas for warm up. The course can be challenging and is usually in good shape. They keep booklets on every cart that show the exact layout of every hole with distances. I find it helpful, especially because you will have some shots with limited visibility. I think the only knock that I have on Cherry Creek is that the regular green fees exceed $50. But if you get a deal on Golfnow around $30, thats a very reasonable price.
Well maintained
Have played this course many times. Conditioning is always good and greens are excellent. Have always enjoyed the layout. One of my favorite courses.
Pretty good course in decent shape
The course itself was in pretty good condition. Like many other courses I have found this year, including even some of the nicest of private courses, the winter absolutely wreaked havoc on some of the greens. Not completely damaged, but in certain areas they were still recovering. They were never so bad to the point that it affected putting (or perhaps I was just lucky enough not to be in those areas). Rough and fairways were pretty well maintained so overall, pretty fair course conditions. We managed to play at 11:30 on a Sunday and didn't wait to hit any shots until a couple of holes on the back 9 and finished in about 4.5 hours.
Overall Cherry Creek is usually one of the nicer courses in Macomb County so provided that their greens come back around I assume that it will return to that level.
Greens are to slow
Greens need to be firmed up and cut shorter. The course seemed to be aittle to wet.
Normally prestine, Average after rough winter
The course was in great shape as usual, with the exception of the greens. As is the case with many of the courses in the metro Detroit area this year, the greens have been significantly damage by snow mold. The surfaces are rough and patchy, which makes putting troublesome and inconsistent. Unfortunately, this condition usually lasts through the entire summer season. Be aware that many courses are charging regular summer rates, even with the damaged surfaces.
Great course
Beautiful and worth the money. Nice fairways and greens. We'll maintained. Beware: standard eticate rules are enforced on weekends! 15 minutes per hole.
A great place to play
We play this course 5 or 6 times a season, only because we like to play different courses. It is challenging and very well maintained. It is the closest to my home of the courses we play. If the other guys in my foursome wanted to play here more I would be fine with it.
Great course with tough layout!
Great course with a very fun design to challenge your game
nice place
this is a very nice facility all the way from the driveway to the clubhouse, practice & course.
booked this with golfnow $24, absolute steal, not sure if i would pay the regular rate as this could easily be over 5 hour round at peak time.
there was 1 temp green on the 3rd hole, but otherwise the course was in good shape. this is one of these courses that prior knowledge will really help as there are blind shots, some small landing areas etc,, greens are true & not too challenging.
i will return if i can get a golfnow deal.
Great For the Conditions
Great conditions after having 3 straight days of rain.
Feels like up north without the drive. good conditions and very friendly staff
Beautiful views of the course and looking back into the clubhouse on 18. Friendly staff and overall good experience.
Quality Michigan Golf course
Very challenging but fair. Course was in very nice condition for early in the year although some of the greens suffered from "winter freeze" burns. This course is well cared for and the staff including the rangers are friendly and helpful!
spring golf
the course was in fair shape due to the spring weather.I WILL BET LATER ON WHEN IT GETS WARMER THIS GC WILL BE ONE OF THE BEST IN THE NORTHEAST
