Melreese Golf Course at International Links
About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business in 03/2023.
The Melreese golf course at International Links is where Tiger Woods made his first professional appearance in south Florida. The championship course, which has six sets of tees, features rolling fairways and large, undulating greens. It is a tight golf course featuring five lakes that come into play on 14 holes. To make up for the damages caused by Hurricane Andrew, the golf course has been outfitted with replanted tall live oak and palm trees that can affect shots. There are also nearly 100 sand bunkers present on the course. The Melreese course's signature hole is the par-4 14th, which is nicknamed "Heartbreak Ridge." It has water alongside the right side of the fairway all the way from the tee to the green, and it requires an approach shot past water to an island green. The International Links facility also offers a lighted driving range and putting green.

Worth the wait
I play with a group of guys every Saturday. When the course closed for about four months for renovations, we had to travel to other comparable courses around the county. The course renovations have made this a spectacular course for the money. The fairways are immaculate with the new grass. The bunkers have terrific sand and bounce. The greens were made more undulated and more challenging. The staff is incredibly accommodating. And yes, do not miss the food coming out of Marvin's kitchen. It's only one notch below gourmet.
Best in Miami
I've been playing Melreese in a regular Saturday game for more than five years. The course is in great shape, having undergone an extensive renovation in 2014. The staff members are courteous and professional and they treat us like we're members of a country club. The food is so good we come here during the week for lunch. Melreese is a can't-miss experience for golfers at every skill level.
Total Rip-off
They were suppose to have redone the course, but in fact it's exactly like it was before, just in worst shape!!
Fairway are bad, muddy and greens were slow and not really true.
The worst part is that it's completely overcrowded we had to stop at hole11 after over 4 hours already on the course!
For $85 if you don't have the Premier card, this is Completely ridiculous!
Overpriced and really don't know what happen to the renovation!!!!
