Indian Spring Golf Club
About
Indian Spring Country Club in Evesham is situated right at the heart of the historic town. The golf course is a local favorite that is known for being one of the most affordable rounds in the area. The layout starts with a wide-open front nine that's fairly gentle but don't be fooled, there are more challenges in store on the wooded back nine. Originally opened in 1952, the golf course has matured into a scenic challenge with towering trees shading the fairways and framing the greens. The beautifully maintained landscape earned the course certification as an Audubon International Cooperative Sanctuary. The Indian Spring C.C. layout twists and turns, providing some interesting angles and tricky blind shots. Water doesn't have a prominent presence but there are a few lakes that make an appearance on the back nine.

The course was great the staff very friendly
I would love to pay it again in the spring a couple of holes had some leaves making it hard to find the ball just off the fairway
Nice couse. Easy to follow.
I accidentally wore jeans, but they let me on. Was uncrowded on a Monday, but it had just rained. A couple green showed dirt and some area were being seeded, but overall, it was in good shape. A lot of sand traps. We had a good time.
Great course but was having severe maintenance problems
I have played this course many times and enjoy it very much. As of now (late summer 2013) the course is experiencing severe maintenance issues with several dead or dying greens and multiple fairways that are in trouble as well.
This is a great muni for weekend golfers.
The course is in OK shape. Fairways were is very good shape. They lost most of the grass on the 2nd green which is in the middle of recovering. The town just took over course management from the contractor they had for the last few years. Hopefully things don't go in the wrong direction.
50% of Greens are unplayable.
When checking in for the golfnow tee time I was advised that the fairways were recently aerated. There was not aeration alert on golf now. The fairways were in rough condition and caused the need for multiple ball movements for a clean shot.
I was not advised or expecting the greens to be in TERRIBLE condition. By the third hole, my group literally had to vote to cut our loses and go to a different course. A few of the holes the greens were perfect. Others were brown, bumpy, and/or sandy. Unplayable for anyone who cares about score.
Additionally, the starter was as rude as usual. He was busy talking to another employee about 30 yards away and yelled to ask the name of our group and whether we played there before. On a previous visit, he grilled me about whether I paid for a full 18 holes and made it seem like I was lying based on the price from the receipt(golf now promo).
Nice track for the money food in restaurant was outstanding
Have played this track many many times and have always had a great time playing like most courses this season in south jersey they have been pounded by to much rain however the staff at Indian Springs are doing there best to get the course back into shape I believe this course will be in great shape just in time for fall
course unsupervised & overcrowed.
course was being airated. difficult to play with these conditions at best. why were we not told before purchase that course was being airated??
great course
This course gets lots of activity. No surprise. It's a well run facility and very considerate staff
Real bad
This course is absolutely atrocious. Tee boxes are dirt with long blades of grass, its hard to find consistent grass in the fairways, and greens are taken over with disease spots. Played lots golf and this is definitely one of the worst conditions wise. It's sick that people pay $50 to play here, highway robbery.
AVOID THIS COURSE!!!
Ok, I've been playing here for quite a few years and it usually represents a good value, especially on a hot deal. However, with the turnover in management, the township has decided to effectively give up on any conscience level of maintenance. The greens were horrendous, patches of dirt....and lots of burned out fairways. Come on people, get it together!!! The conditions are absolutely atrocious and don't even think about paying the normal price to play here. I know they'll blame the weather but Pennsauken seems to be in just fine shape and the township owns it. Maybe Evesham twp. should give them a call to see how it's done.
Maintenance??
Course was highly recommended by a friend. The course layout appeared and viewed pleasing but the course condition was extremely poor. The greens were recently over sanded due to possible summer damaged and basically unputtable. The fairways were burnt out in numerous area resulting in bare ground thru-out many areas. If this course were maintained (which it may be at other times) I could visualize it being well worth the price but in its present condition it was an extreme disappointment for the money.
Greens nice, fairways noexistent
If you want to only work on putting, this is the course for you. However, getting to the green is a struggle even after perfect drives since the best fairways are basically short roughs. It wasn't expensive but still no value here.
Good course that needs serious attention
I will say I am still in my "rookie" year of golf, and havent played many places yet. That being said, I liked playing this course I must say and will probably be back. Most of the fairways and greens were in decent shape, but the ones that were not were horrible. The bad holes litteraly had a "scorched earth" look to the greens and fairways, with patches of hard dirt that just looked baked by the sun. I can atttribute that to the weather recently, and I'm sure that isn't the norm because the rest looked good. There are alot of sand traps on this course, and the problem with those is the sand is rock hard, like the rain recently just washed all the sand out. I'd like to play it in again in a few weeks to see if this was just because of the weather or if this is the norm at this location.
Nice Course
Course is nice and the staff was great. With all the rain and heat wave, course was beat up... Fairways were like concrete and you couldnt get the club thru them. Love to play course at diff part of year.
Course has really gone downhill
I've played 20+ rounds at Indian Springs over the last few years and unfortunately, the conditions just keep going downhill to the point that I probably wont play there again any time soon.
The fairways were very sparse - there were probably more areas that were bare or muddy than lush with grass. The rough and greens were pretty long but I'm guess that was because they didnt get to mow because of the overnight rain. The "sand" traps either had no sand or were hard as rocks.
It is shame because the course was one of the better ones in the Marlton are but it really needs some TLC. Check out the photo of the "fairway" on 11.
I'm sorry but for $56 dollars, I expect more.
Course was in horrible shape, staff was rude at best.
Course was completely in shambles after the heavy heavy rain we had gotten a few weeks back. Fairways were mostly dirt, fairways that had grass weren't the best. However, It's understood that heavy storms like that can hurt a course, but time after time again I have been treated very poorly by the staff at Indian Spring. They are extremely rude and seem to be on their high horse for really no reason. I would NOT recommend playing the course if you have any other options. Go somewhere were you'll be treated with respect like any customer/golfer should.
It was okay
Would a been nice if they offered rain checks. Only got 5 holes in before a unexpected storm popped up.
Slow play
Love playing this course but staff needs to keep play moving. Too many groups take too much time. Had to wait up to 10 mins before teeing off between holes. Took several complaints and 6 holes before a staff member asked the 2 groups in front to move along faster. Not the first time this has happened.
Other than that, awesome course to play.
Just a great course for the cost
It was my idea to go to Indian Springs. I use to go there a lot about 10 years ago. The group I golfed with slowly moved out of the area and had not played for a while.
Booked the tee time and went on Sunday, 6/30/13. Course was in good condition. Pretty much oipen but pretty challanging around the greens with a lot of sand. All of my friends like the course and we will be back again this summer.
Fairways and Greens
Great playing conditions. Greens ran true, fairways were in great shape.
I also asked them the same thing and they told me do you know how much rain we got in the last 2 months and all the record rain but I asked them why other local courses which recvd the same amt don't look like Indian Springs even their mayor got nasty via email on me.
