Conestoga Golf Club
About
Located about an hour northeast of Las Vegas, Conestoga Golf Course tumbles across the desert canyons and arroyos of Mesquite. Gary Panks, the course's designer, wanted to create a course that looked as though it had been forged over time by nature. By utilizing the desert landscaping and natural washes, the result was a stunning layout that is as scenic as it is challenging. The rolling topography covers a range of elevation changes, providing not only tricky uneven lies but also views of the surrounding canyons. The course is enhanced even further with interesting rock outcroppings that are interspersed across the landscape and several different water features. In addition to the natural hazards, Panks incorporated over 50 strategically placed bunkers throughout Conestoga Golf Course. It is formidable, but the course has five sets of tees to accommodate a wide range of skill levels.

Awesome!
Early T time and felt like we had the course to ourselves. Great condo on and beautiful fairways, greens, and layout. I’ve played a lot of courses and this is among the best.
Awesome
One of nicest golf courses I have ever played. And I’ve played many
Great golf course
I think this is the best golf course in Mesquite, especially for the price! Great practice facilities, golf course condition, and lay out. Perhaps golf course architect Gary Panks best!
Pricey to play
Nice course but not for the money they charge to play. Challenging so that was nice.
Great Desert Golf
This is a challenging desert layout that will take more than 1 round to figure out how to best navigate it. Played in a tournament and the round was long due to tucked pins and the general unforgiveness of wayward shots.
Course conditions and practice area were great. Greens rolled around 11 on my Stimpmeter. Had a few fuzzy area but rolled pretty good. I'd give it a 4.5 out of 5 on the greens. No burnt areas on the fairways. Those and tee boxes were pretty lush.
I can see why it ranks highly in a lot of publications. Would be great warm up to Wolf Creek in town as well.
Just like any other high end course locals think they own the place and never keep up pace of play! Staff is great, little pricey for the lay out, overall not bad.
Enjoyable layout and conditions
Front nine is memorable and challenging the first time you play it. Back nine was very nice but a bit of a let down after the first 9. Course was well laid out and in very good shape considering they were beginning to overseed the next day. Highly recommended.
Great course - will return when greens recover from aeration
Had a fun round. Varied layouts, but nothing too punishing. Looking forward to returning when the greens are back to their normal condition.
Summer Time Rates Are Great!
Course was in great condition for the July season, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the layout is a good challenge for intermediate level golfers and up.
Staff very friendly. A couple fairway brown spots here and there but outside of that, it is a good condition.
Not as punishing as Wolf Creek
This was a difficult course, but not as punishing and as difficult as Wolf Creek. Wolf Creek has more of the wow factor because of the insane elevations and super blind shots. The only problem is that Wolf Creek overdoes those two things. Conestoga on the other hand has good amount of elevation, blind shots, and shot placement; all in a perfect balance. I'm super thankful for the starter who made our group move up one tee, otherwise it might have been a very miserable round, especially given the windy conditions. The course condition was absolutely perfect from tee to green. Every hole was super unique. The back nine was quite different from the front nine, and seemed to be more forgiving as well. The practice facilities were nice and pristine, with plenty of space for lots of people to practice. Only negative was that the golf carts didn't have GPS on them, so make sure to have a phone app or range finder to help you with your shot selection. In conclusion, Conestoga was probably my favorite course in Mesquite; not gimmicky and very well designed. I'll definitely want to come back to play it again.
Great course, not staff
It's a beautiful course. Challenging at times but manageable. The downfall was that unless you have a GPS app on your phone you have no idea where you're going to or the distances. The kitchen was closed at 1pm on a Saturday. Basically our group of 16 on the course yet we were hounded for playing too slow. If suggest Falcon's Ridge until the carts get GPS and the staff becomes more friendly.
