Good course in the area, but need to manage slow Golfers
Very good course that you can put yourself to test, far greens and great practice facility. The layout is great. The pace of play is very slow during the weekends.
Best Public Course in Western PA!
For the value, conditions, and pace of play, you can’t beat Quickie. I’ve played during the week, weekend morning, and holiday, always the same outcome…. a great golf day (scores aside).
Good track slow play
Very good tract love the course greens were in great shape. However, the staff seem to let out a few fivesomes which slowed play way down. Hopefully this was just an isolated issue but overall great course
Great course!
Love playing at this course. Only complaint was it was just a little too cold. Other than that no complaints and loved the course.
Spring Training?
Yes I know it was the middle of March in Pittsburgh. Yes I was happy just to tee it up. Yes I realize Quicksilver summer rates are double what I payed. But still, we’ve come to expect Quicksilver to be a cut above the pack. Sand traps were washed out canyons. What wasn’t washed away was concrete. Greens were a little shaggy and couldn’t even find a garbage can that wasn’t overflowing. C’mon guys, we know it’s still Grapefruit League time, but we hope for better conditions.
Open but NOT!!!
Starter was pushy and not friendly at all. The course needed a Ranger to speed up play. Should never take 5.5 hours to play 18 holes!!
No ball washers or water on course. Even the towel bucket at starting hole had 2 inches of extremely dirty water in it. Had to run to restroom to soak my towel.
Course is a good layout but waiting 5-10min between holes is not good for my game and truly makes it not enjoyable.
Course in great shape!
Could Rae was in great shape. It was cart path only but it rain all day and night before. Excellent course especially for price.
Quicksilver is a challenge
I like this course. It was a little Wet and Windy so played long. Greens are is great shape for December golf. Played in about 4:15. Some blind shots to could be interesting for 1st time players.
FrankP
We played the course in early November. The course was in great shape, minimal leaves, the greens were smooth and fast. The bunkers were well maintained. I booked it as a Hot Deal through Golf Now. A great price for such a quality course. I will be back.
