About

Love the game. Live, eat and sleep golf. At the range 1 day a week and play 1-2 day a week.Organize a Saturday morning golf group of 24 golfers. Book 4 tee times 16 spots Saturday morning and fill it first reply first confirmed until all spots are full. I also organize a 4 day 6 round Golf weekend in Orondo, Washington. This year we are 16 golfers. My game comes and goes.

Very affordable course within 30 minutes of Palm Springs
Course closed 5 yrs ago and was reopened under new ownership 3 yrs ago. They are doing a commendable job to offer affordable golf in the region. Need water and loving care to get the fairways back to good condition however the Greens are in Perfect Shape and the tee boxes are in good shape. Challenging greens make this a good practice for mid Handicap golfers and the length makes it a fun course for all levels.
Great place to learn the game for beginners.
The staff are incredibly accommodating and friendly.
Nice Driving Range with many targets.

Excellent Challenge for MID to LOW Handicappers!

Do not suggest for beginners.
Great layout Tee to Greens. Every hole poses interesting strategy and greens make this a thriller.
Plays longer than the card. Sloping fairways force management off the tee.
Warm up and Practice facilities are extremely well maintained.
This is a well managed course by owners/staff that have a passion for the game.
Highly recommend this course if you are in the area.
Short drive from Palm Springs and a different experience from the Desert Courses.
Clubhouse is fair, not a place to shop or eat.

Fun Resort Course few tough holes

Very fun course if you don't have time for a full course playing with varying levels of ability
4 tough Par 3's 180-195 yds
Lot's of water
Greens play true but very slow
Bunkers have too much sand in them, don't hear that very often

Amazing Par 3 Course to tune up your Irons!

Course is in incredible condition and offers a great range of Par 3 distances and challenges. Greens are very true and offer interesting reads and speed variations.
Highly recommend to play here when you arrive to get familiar with putting greens in the PS Area, you won't be disappointed and will be more prepared when you play the Par 72 courses in the area.
Cimarron also has the Boulders course a challenging Par 72 with the same incredible course standards

Good Value plays Long

Played mid March, First time playing in the Bakersfield CA area and not sure when the optimal season is.
Compared to home conditions the fairways were in rough shape overgrown with clover and many bare spots throughout. Greens were mostly in good shape and play tough but true.
Plays long White Tees over 6,500 with many par 4's over 400 yards 1 was 454 yds. Par 3's almost 200 yds.
Par 5's were a good length for 3 shot play.
Kitchen facilities were closed at 3:00 pm

Winter Review Course was very Soggy

We have played this course many times over the years. The course is okay to play in the summer when the weather is dry. The course cannot handle water, no drainage. When the course is wet the maintenance team is limited in how they can maintain the course.
The team is great. They are capable but very limited by budgets/revenue.
In the summer dry weather you will have fun easy walk.
In the wet weather suggest you play somewhere else.

DRY FAIRWAYS SLOW GREENS

Fun course for Beginners and newer golfers. Course maintenance needs to improve to attract most golfers. Fairways are very dry and green grass is patchy in many areas. Greens need to be cut somewhat raggy. Some awkward holes for 1st time golfers so follow the card but better to play with someone that knows the course.
Many better choices within 10-20 minute drive.

Don't be fooled by the length

I speak to many and recommend Tsawwassen Springs. Get push back from some because is too easy based on reading the scorecard. I suggest they play it and then judge. Mostly NOBODY plays their handicap on this course consistently. On average I will suggest 5-6 strokes over their handicap. Enough hazards and course design gives a lot of risk/reward opportunities. Brand new Facilities are TOP CLASS and near if not the best in the area.

The Aquilini Group of golf courses for some reason think Bunkers don't need to be maintained. Many of the Bunkers were overgrown with GUR Signs. Is ridiculous that they do this intentionally. Fill them in or groom them. Current strategy doesn't make sense. Greens and landing parts of the Fairways are in good shape.
Some narrow fairways and interesting doglegs and carry hazards. Slope 123.

Course has been neglected!

The fairways and Greens are in good playable condition. Almost all bunkers have not been worked for years. Full of overgrown weeds and marked as GUR. Not a true golf experience when the bunkers have been eliminated. Not worth the 1 1/2 hour drive from Vancouver. Too many reasonably priced good to great courses in the area.

Fun easy resort course

Relaxing round a nice break from playing challenging Scottsdale courses. Off season so course was a little rough but still a good day. If your looking for challenging golf not a course for you.

Amazing Golf Experience!

Off season extremely hot but incredible golf experience. Starts at the parking lot with clubs unloaded and on your cart with your name on it ready to go. Driving range right there with balls. Ice water on many holes and a refreshing cold towel at the turn to keep comfortable. The course was in amazing condition and played tough but fair. Play the right tees to enjoy your round.

Great Challenging Short Par 70

If you are a length snob not for you even though you will not be able to play your Handicap. Fairways narrow, plenty of hazards well maintained challenging greens. Many holes require the right lay-up positioning for good approach to the greens.
Think you got game? This 5,439 yard Par 70 course will give you incredible challenge guaranteed.
By far the best course conditions in Southern BC.

OFF SEASON REVIEW - influenced conditions

Biggest challenge was the course was full of singles and pairs so very slow and disruptive round.
Hard to provide a fair review during the off season. Conditions were just OK even considering the timing. Staff was not amicable to outsiders.
I am sure there are better courses to play in the area for travelers.

Great fun easy course for most skill levels!

A great day of golf if you are looking for a fun day. Course is easy so low handicap golfers looking for a challenge might be disappointed unless playing with family or higher handicap friends.

Lack of Course Maintenance!

Not long ago one of my favorite courses in the area.Today the course is in very poor condition. Fairways are not playable, dry cracked and many patches no grass at all. Greens are sand based and a little better. Can stop your approach shots but the green surfaces are not in playable condition.
The course design is very good and the scenery very nice.Much better alternative courses nearby.
