The Landing at Pleasant Point
Played On 05/24/2023Unless you can’t find a driving range this should be your second choice
Other than the woman at the front desk being extremely pleasant and friendly. I didn’t see a real reason to ever play this golf course again. Most tea boxes are just sand. 2 to 3 greens were just big chunks of sod all pieced together. Absolutely horrible golf course
The Landing at Pleasant Point
Played On 05/23/2023This course needs to be closed and given time to grow in
Considering there are not a lot of choices in this area for golf. I decided to give this one a try. When I called in the day prior to make a tee time I was told the course is in fabulous shape. That was bad info!
I should’ve known what I was getting into ,when I arrived at the golf course and saw seven cars in the lot at 10 AM. Golf carts with absolutely no amenities. And a pro shop selling shirts for $19.95. But I decided to treat it like a driving range and use it for practice. All you need to do is look at the pictures to see what the current conditions are. Many tee balls hit it in the fairway and then couldn’t be located because they ran into the rough, or what they call rough. Lol
. Numerous types of grasses are growing all over the golf course. A lot like hitting golf balls out of your grandparents backyard lol
The staff inside are extremely friendly and courteous. The facility is very clean but very little items for purchase.
I was told that many of the golf courses in the area have greens that are suffering with a disease. This one definitely is having issues. There are several greens with chunks of sod throughout the entire green
Good for practice of long irons and wedges but putting isn’t one of them!
Lockwood Folly Country Club
Played On 07/20/2022Great course. Fabulous staff…ignorant members
Pros
From the moment I arrived and met the backdrop staff, following up by meeting the front desk staff. Both gentlemen were exactly just that! Very friendly and accommodating and filled with information. The view upon your arrival is spectacular not just with the beautiful homes but the views of the waterway and the sound of the ocean in the distance.
From Tbox to green the golf course is in Fabulous condition and considering how hot it’s been lately the fairways were outstanding.
The beverage cart girl must’ve had five twins because I saw her about every 15 minutes. She was very friendly as well and a great conversationalist
At the end of my round I met the bar staff and they were a joy to talk to and quick to make sure your glass was full. I weighed it for nothing!
CONS
After the second hole I got stuck behind a threesome. An elderly member and his two grandsons. They decided to turn the golf course into a driving range and hit three or four balls on every hole. Most holes took 15 to 20 minutes to play. Considering I was on their tail ,not once did they even address me. They finally left after nine holes and I picked up another Group of members. They too would not allow a faster single to play through. I could see two open holes in front of them but they show no signs of golf etiquette. Their attitude is “it’s my golf course if you don’t like it leave.”
It’s a shame the members show no signs of golf etiquette.
I know some will say you should’ve just skipped the holes and came back. But that is not golf etiquette in any way shape or form.

Played On 01/15/2022expensive and you'll wait on every shot!!!
ALL of these reviews have one thing in common and thats the slow play. It starts with the course over booking the rounds and then having you wait 30 minutes past you tee time to go out. They can't blame the weather when its sunny and 72 degrees out. Weekend play is a definite NO GO! We had a tee time for 1145am and didn't go out til close to 1230!!! The staff at the front desk move people like cattle for the most part and there's little time to speak to anyone behind the counter. We got hit for $115 and then they tell us its $7 if you want range balls!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! When you get to first tee there will be at least 5 foursomes if not more, since they spread groups out in 6 minute increments. This is also praying that you get a cart since we had to wait to get one since they ran out of them
The course was in good shape but not worth the $115 they charged us!! Lots of bare spots on the course but I will give them that the greens were spectacular.
I would look elsewhere unless you like sitting in your cart for 10 minutes between shots.
1230 we finally went out and we got off the course 5 1/2 hrs later. We rushed to get the last 2 holes in!!!
Clearwater Country Club
Played On 01/12/2022Decent course. Lots of local play
I wouldn’t make this my first choice in the area but it wasn’t a bad course. Pace of play was fairly slow. You’ll see a lot of fivesoms and sixsomes on the golf course. Many locals play here and pretty much own the course. Course conditions were mediocre. Sat outside after our round to have a beer only to have some young kid taking the seats out from underneath us because he wanted to go home early. They need to teach their staff manners
It’s a great layout but they obviously need to put some money into the course. This is another golf course in the area that doesn’t believe in putting rakes in the traps, instead they put it in the back of your cart. Needless to say a lot of traps have numerous foot prints through them
Hillcrest Golf & Country Club
Played On 07/27/2021A bit dry and hard on the front nine
It was 100 degrees and sunny! The front 9 was very dry and the balls bounced like they were hitting macadam. The back 9 seemed a bit softer. You definitely need to pay attention to the pitches of the fairways to accommodate the bounce and roll. The greens were in great shape as were tee boxes
Mon and Tues is first responder day and it was only 25$!! The staff are super friendly and accommodating as well
I would play it again for sure. The blue tees are very long and challenging for the better players. The first hole tells the whole story for that LOL
Tiffany Greens Golf Club
Played On 07/25/2021A must play and fabulous rates
Absolutely beautiful course!! The staff were super friendly and got us out a bit early to beat sundown. The course was in fabulous shape and pace of place was decent considering we were a twosome and had several foursomes in front of us. Even had groups allow us to ply through!! The greens needed a bit of care from fellow golfers, not fixing their ball marks but the greens rolled great and were pretty quick.
I'll defiinitely play here again on my next visit to KC
Ironhorse Golf Club
Played On 07/24/2021A MUST play in KC area
If you are going to play golf, this has to be on your playlist!!! The day was fabulous from meeting the starter to loading the clubs in the car at the end of the day!!! The course is gorgeous and is challenging yet theres enough tee choices for your game. This facility is top notch!!!
Beekman Country Club - Highland/Valley
Played On 07/15/2021Very nice public course
I had the opportunity to play this course twice in one week. My first round was around 530 pm and was not told about leagues being on the courses until I got there. I played 9 holes as a single in 2;45. I was locked in between a large group of 4somes and had no where to go. The leagues there area true "beer drinking" leagues. Sounded like a frat party on the course LOL
My second round I learned and got out before the leagues got there. Paired up with three locals who were an absolute blast to play with ;and gave me home course knowledge during play.
The Valley and Taconic are a bit tighter in their fairways . Greens, fairways and tee boxes were in fabulous shape. The food upstairs is much better than what you typically get at a public course. I highly recommend any of the meals that are smoked. The smoked brisket sandwich was awesome!!
The only complaints would be that the cart paths need ALOT of work and upgrading. The staff at the outside clubhouse could be a bit friendlier. They treat you like they work for the government LOL
Enjoy this course!!
Golden Oaks Golf Club
Played On 05/27/2021Still fabulous!
Played here in the late morning round with family and friends. Staff were extremely friendly and cooperative. Course was in its usual fantastic shape. Sand traps and tee boxes and greens are looking good. Greens were a little bit slow but I believe that was due to weather conditions. If you’re in the area it’s a MUST play.
SilverRock Resort
Played On 04/30/2021Fabulous!
We played this on a day where it was 109°. But yet it wasn’t that bad. They were sanding a lot of fairways and tee boxes. But it didn’t affect play. Clubhouse could be updated since it’s only a trailer. Driving range and first hole are about 3/4 of a mile away. It’s a definite must play one in the Palm Springs area
Awesome! We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. Thank you for the 4 stars! We aim for a 5-star experience, so we always welcome feedback for improvement. Thank you for playing SilverRock Resort.
Blackstone Golf Course
Played On 02/02/2021What a hidden gem
When we saw the price of what they were charging we figured it can’t be anything fabulous. We were fabulously surprised. It is a bit of a hike to get to but it’s not a tough drive at all if staying in the Destin Fort Walton area
This course should be charging more than it does, and definitely is a must play in the area. I can now see why it gets four and five stars. Staff were outstanding course conditions outstanding and the price absolutely outstanding
If you’re playing the Tips like I did you’ll see fairways are kind of tight. The greens were beautiful with absolutely no bounce and just pure fast roll. Sand was awesome and a good quality. I see no negatives at all at this golf course.. I highly recommend playing here
If you're a cop, God Bless You and protect you from all the wackos out there now days, but it is funny how some reviewers sort of encourage the course management to charge more for a round. Some of us play there because it's a decent / fair price. If you want to pay more, go ahead and just give them an extra $10.
Juniper Hills Golf Course
Played On 08/24/2020Nice course for tuning up your game
Played this course in late afternoon on a weekday. Unfortunately I got stuck behind a high school or college golf team. They were all walkers and I thought the day would be miserable and take forever to finish the round. After only getting four holes in a Ranger came out and advised me to reposition myself to the other nine. I did so and moved through the course quite quickly
The course was in pretty decent shape considering the rain received earlier in the week
I rode the fairways all around
The greens were in a 8 out of a 10 in conditions as were most tee boxes
As another person stated in their review it’s hard to lose a ball out there
I played from the tips to challenge myself and it’s not super long from them but you can hit driver in most par 4 and 5 s
This course is in hyper alert in regards to the virus and they are all over on the cleaning and sanitizing
The staff are outstanding and great conversationalists! They made “this out of towner “feel like a local
Well stocked pro shop as well
Downside. No driving range
The Ledges Golf Club
Played On 08/08/2019Great course with challenging layout
I was visiting this area for work. My son and I decided to get around of golf in .We paid nine hole rate for $40 after 5 PM. Thought the price was a little steep considering it was after 5 PM. But it was totally worth it. Outstanding golf course with a great layout and super friendly staff. Some great scenery especially the par 3 downhill over the water. When you get to number 18, it’s a true challenge closing hole
Highly recommend playing this golf course.
Bethlehem Golf Club - Executive Nine
Played On 06/14/2019Fantastic muni course
I have been playing this golf course for almost 40 years now. It went from a general public golf course to an awesome public play golf course. Due to the conditions being so fantastic it does see a lot of play. The fairways look just like country club fairways. Greens were smooth and fast. There are a lot of hackers out there on a Friday Saturday and Sunday so pace of play could be slow. It’s a long golf course, challenging, but worth playing. Afterwords it’s a must to go into the Clubhouse Grille. You can sit outside by the parking lot or you can go to the front of the building and sit on the outside patio. I personally recommend the patio by the parking lot. You get to watch the number one and 10 tee box as well as 18th green. The bar restaurant inside, is very nice with numerous TVs. The bartending staff are out of this world. They are second to none
Harkers Hollow Golf Club
Played On 06/01/2018It’s a shame what has become of a once beautiful country club
Booked a tee time on Golf Now for $25. At best this course is a place to practice hitting shots without the thought of keeping score. The tee boxes are covered in dandelions and weeds as are the fairways. The rough is insanely horrible. Make sure to play junk golf balls because you will lose several. The greens were recently aerated, and almost all had major burn out spots. Keep in mind the greens have not been aerated on this golf course in over five years. There has been a serious lack of maintenance due to the turmoil of the sale of this facility.
The one female staff member at the front desk, was very accommodating and was forthright and discussion about the conditions of the course. She did not hide anything or state any miss truths.
The course will hopefully come back and be what it was once one , when it was a private club. But they do have a long way and a long road ahead of them yet. There are basic things that every golf course should have ,and this course is lacking many of that. There was not a single cube of ice to be found anywhere on the golf course. I’m sorry, but that is just deplorable!
We spoke to the girl at the halfway house and all she basically had was two choices of beer and crackers and snacks. And there she had no ice either. I doubt she made any money at all considering her inventory and lack of persons, playing the golf course. This course should be limiting its play until they get their act together and turn it back into a golf course. You can see there is some definite character to this golf course and some challenging holes. Hopefully by this time next year that will reclaim it’s glory
Iron Valley Golf Club
Played On 05/30/2018A definite must play in Pennsylvania!
If you are in Pennsylvania and looking for an awesome golf course, look no further. From the moment you meet the friendly staff until you finish a round and have an ice cold beer. There is nothing but spectacular when speaking of this golf course.
We were met by the starter when we first arrived. He engaged us in conversation and spoke about the conditions of the golf course. He pointed out where everything was so there was no question when looking to find something. The course conditions were nothing less than spectacular. The deck outback is a fantastic view and great place to have a cigar and a nice cold beverage. The staff in a restaurant we’re friendly and accommodating. We were fortunate enough to meet the owners of this fine establishment at the bar. They spoke about this course and others they owned and their future plans for those courses. It was nice to see owners of a golf course putting 1000% into their venture .While in the pro shop I was attempting to buy a cigar. I got into a conversation with the gentleman that were present. One of the employees went out to his car and gave me a cigar from his private collection. That right there tells you the character of this golf course. Nothing but professional and customer based. I have played this course three times, and I will be back again!. I always list pros and cons about each golf course. I cannot think of one Con to list, that should tell you the caliber of this golf course
Water Gap Country Club
Played On 07/06/2017Has gone down hill rapidly!!!!
The staff in the pro Shop are awesome. The pro shop has some decent clothing and items at a good price. The greens are in great shape. Thats about it for the good comments.
The tee boxes (especially the tips) are horrible. Covered in long grass and weeds and next to no grass. The fairways are somewhat decent and roll ok. The sand traps are mostly dirt with a fine layer of sand. After golf, we were excited to hit the newer out door bar area near the pool. What a mistake that was! We waited over 10-15 minutes to get drinks. Mind you the bar was packed with 7 people!!!! When I finally asked to be served, he went past me, to another couple and asked for me to wait!!! The drinks he made were horrible and done very unprofessionally. I think he usually works as a greens keeper, since he had NO skills bartending.
The drinks were horrible and over priced for what you received. We then stayed for dinner hoping for something better. We lucked out and got a young lady named ANN. She was attentive and a extremely hard worker. She truly made the night a save after the debacle at the bar area. The end of the night, they had a older gentleman singing some old 50-60s tunes and he was fabulous!! The price for golf is way higher than what you get. I would look at other courses in the Poconos and use this as a last resort
Martindale Country Club
Played On 07/03/2017Mixed feelings....
I reviewed this course via web pages. (Golf advisors latest review was from 2014) There were very few reviews and i was beginning to think they might be closed. We booked on line through their courses web page. They stated that this was recently a country club and private and still maintaining the course as such with new owners. But now its listed as semi private.
The club house is very antiquated but that adds to the allure of the club for me. Exceptionally clean and organized and easy to maneuver in The staff in the pro shop were extremely friendly and informative. The clubhouse layout is reminiscent of the old era of country clubs as well. We were a two some and made it to the first tee to face a uphill par 4. Not a lot of directional s when on the course but then again any new course to the player will be like this. This course is definitely not up to private course standards and there are a lot of high grass and weeds in fairways as well as rough area. A lot of sand traps are in rough shape and need sand added to them. The tee boxes were so-so, and greens were in great shape. The course does have alot of character and the #9 par 3 from the tips is outstanding (253 all downhill)!!! he back 9 was a bit more entertaining than the front in my opinion. After golf we stopped in the small bar area upstairs. Its very obvious from the moment you enter until the beverages after your round, that this is a mainly locals course. All the people we met were super friendly and quick to converse with the" new people". The bartenders were super quick and attentive and prices were like a local bar , rather than killer private course prices. Highly recommend sitting out back on the patio afterwards as well, spectacular views!!! he locals had their dogs there as well and it was like a party after our round.
I wish they would put some more effort into the course fairways and rough. I would play it again, but look for a cheaper rate before doing so. The pic attached is a par 5 and the nicest hole on the course
Your feedback is important to us. Thank you for sharing your 5-star experience. We look forward to seeing you again at the course soon! Thanks for choosing Tiffany Greens Golf Club.
