Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort - North/South
Played On 07/02/2018July is maintenance time
played the north to west. fairways have lots of brown areas, greens are super slow, bunkers have little sand and play like hard pan. typical July condition for this course

bought a hot deal tee time. Big mistake. Golf cart lasted two holes before calling for a replacement. appears their cart fleet s is old and batteries are dying according to several employees shared a cart with a person who never stopped talking.
Good side is the fairways have improved and greens are slick and fast
Woodhaven Country Club
Played On 11/30/2017prefer to play this course in the summer
arrived early thought maybe i could get out early, but its was busy with the ladies group out on thursday morning. I tried to get a sandwich before going out on my 1054 am tee time, but the dining room only serves breakfast before 11 am. No snack bar.
Ended up getting a turkey sandwich on the course from the cart girl, $7.00 for a sandwich with skimpy meat on it. paid the same at a resort course which had meat on it.
The winter grass on the course was good with the exception of a lot of bare spots off the fringe. The greens were good shape and fast. pace of play slow lots of elderly golfers who move slow in between shots. course is short under 6,000 yards, you have to try to get into trouble on this course

Played On 11/26/2017Always love to come here
Great Course, Staff is excellent, Ray always on the ball. Greens are in good shape and slick. Fairways good condition.
Pace of play was slow being a holiday sunday and i expected this when booking a hot deal after 12 PM tee time was pushed back from the original booking. So i only played 9. the elderly couple in the foursome could not keep up and kept the pace slow
Palms at Marriott's Desert Springs Resort
Played On 11/22/2017Better than the weeke before
The course is maturing after reopening with the winter grass. Greens are the typical slow for this condition. Pace of play was still slow, typical resort golfer crowd.
As a single i was paired with a good group of golfers
Palms at Marriott's Desert Springs Resort
Played On 11/02/2017I've played this course since it opened. Course recently reopened after winter seeding. Fairways appear to have come in good, greens were slow. had been sanded. last year greens were not in great shape. This was confirmed by staff. Pace of play was slow 5 1/2 hrs. We had a five-some in front of us. I prefer t play here off season when pace is better. After all its a resort golf course.
Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort - North/South
Played On 07/02/2017Old time Favorite
i Have enjoyed RLP for 30 years. ITs my go to course when i need to work on my game. The south course was closed for maintenance this week so I enjoyed the North - West which is my favorite combination.
Some of the fairways were damaged earlier by flash flooding from rains. Those area are coming back nice with the bermuda grass growing back but there a re some bare spots.
The greens on the north have a good coat of bermuda. They are slow but true. The west course has some weed type grass on a few holes. For me the pace was great playing 9 holes in under an hour in the afternoon.
The staff is great very helpful. If there is one draw back and that was ordering a burger at the snack bar.Medium Rare was well done and flavorless. And they do not have pickles. Stick with the Tuna wrap.
Woodhaven Country Club
Played On 06/12/2017nice course / Deal
Course is by no means a tournament course with major difficulties but does have its challenges. great course for a casual round without the tourist golfers at resort courses
SilverRock Resort
Played On 04/28/2017i made the mistake of playing this course on a friday in season. As a result i was paired with three golfers who should not be on a golf course little of this difficulty.
The worst being in a cart with an 84 year old man who should not be driving
The G M was understanding when i got out at the turn and gave me a rain check.
Course is reduced to 9 holes for the summer with a hotel being built there
Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort - North/South
Played On 04/06/2017One of my favorites
I have played here for 25 years when it was built by Marriott. Recent rains have damaged the fairways that are in the storm wash, but recovering well. commercial greens are slow but in good condition
Palms at Marriott's Desert Springs Resort
Played On 03/05/2017course was disappointing
i have played this course since it opened 25 years ago. The greens were the worst i have ever seen. Staff member concurred and said the greens on the Valley course were in better condition. I played on a Sunday which i usually don't do because of the resort weekend golfers and hackers. So its slow.
Snack bar served microwaved hot dogs and no onions available. What is up with that, better off bringing your own food from the
Ralph's Deli across the street, better value.

Played On 06/05/2016Hot day but fun
Purchased a last minute hot deal for a mid day round. It was 108^ at tee time. Had the course to myself, so it was a fast round. Course was vacant. The course was in great shape and the greens were transforming to the summer grass. It would be nice if you tourist and discount golfers learned how to fix pitch marks and fill divots!
This is a Ted Robinson Design and built at a time when The Stadium Courses were popular. This is a target course, so ball position is essential to score well. You need to control the distance with your short irons and play from the correct tees based on your handicap if you are going to enjoy the round and keep the pace of play.
Palms at Marriott's Desert Springs Resort
Played On 06/05/2016A great Ted Robinson design
It has been about 15 years since I play the Valley since I have played the Palm Course the last few visits. I like this course layout lots of undulation on the fairways and greens scenic waterfalls.
This day it was a Hot Deal and it was $19.00 and 114 degree mid day heat. But still I had the course to myself and played the course in under three hours.
The 18 is a tricky finish you may have a blind shot over water to the green. If you do i suggest a lay up and play it as a par 5 to finish with a good score.
Friendly staff, great group of people here
Shadow Mountain Golf Club
Played On 06/04/2016Great historical course
i played this course for the first time. It is a great little course. Short by today's standards, this course is not easy. Narrow fairways and dog legs you will be playing hybrids and irons on a lot of par 4's with dog legs. Brought my 2 and 3 iron for the tight fairways. Greens are small but tricky. This is a great course for the seasonal golfer or to take your parents, siblings to, Staff is friendly and makes the visit even more special. Kudos to Art for meeting us in the parking lot to get the bags and fill the water jug with ice.
In the cooler months this will be a great course to walk but not in 111 degree heat
Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort - North/South

RLP is a great layout with 27 holes to play on. Lots of Dog Legs on the west, North pretty straight and a mix on the south course. Fairways are in good condition greens are transforming into the summer greens. Staff is great and friendly.
I have played here for 30 years and Omni is keeping the course up!
Desert Falls Country Club

The course is challenging, well kept and the staff are five star. Layout is open and views spectacular dining there is first rate
San Juan Hills Golf Club
Played On 03/18/2015Course still needs a lot of repair
Returned after a week, fairways still have barren and bare spots, especially on the front nine. Greens are in good condition and were extremely fast on the front nine. slower on the back.
Staff is one of the friendliest in the County.
Pace of play is always slow. Lots of elderly and distracted golfers
Coyote Hills Golf Course
Played On 03/04/2015It was a bad experiance
Very slow play, Marshall was sleeping tucked away on the 11th hole, too many under skilled golfers on the course with no courtesy.
The Links at Summerly
Played On 05/03/2014Another course going south
Played in a Tournament. Course is deteriorating since it was bought under a ponzi scheme and now under receivership by the SEC. Greens are okay and recently punched. Course is not getting the water required to keep it playable due to drought.
More information available if you google the course
