Spruce Creek Country Club
Played On 12/17/2013Don' t miss this one
The course is very well kept, but the air show was great. Imagine approaching a green and having four planes overhead demonstrating their skills at landing. Shortly after that four planes were flying in formation.
Did I mention that the membership and the pro shop staff were welcoming and delightful.
Park Ridge Golf Course
Played On 11/8/2013Great price, great condition
Golfnow value great for this course. Staff was helpful and friendly, we were 4 golfnow users. Conditions were excellent and we got done in good time late in the day.
Recommend this course only in dry weather due to the drainage issues, but it is fun to be on top of the mountain (hill to non-Floridans) and look down at the fairway on the other side of the "junk."
Grande Pines Golf Club
Played On 10/24/2013Ready for another round
This course was in great condition and the staff went out of their way to ensure that we had a good time. My only complaint is that they allowed a twosome in between fours...it slowed everyone down.
The greens were fast, but true and smooth. It was a very enjoyable round at a great price. Thanks, Golfnow.
Falcon's Fire Golf Club
Played On 10/23/2013Greens are tough
Played with a group from golfhub who paid less than I did on Golfnow. Course was in good shape, but no one could get a handle on the greens. Some were fast, some slow, and the balls ran away from the holes.
Not the best course I played in Orlando, but if the price is right go for it..
West Palm Beach Golf Course
Played On 10/13/2013Great $ value
The course is wide open with waste areas on both sides of very wide fairways. You don't have to be a very straight hitter to hit fairway due to the width.
Sand protects most greens and the traps are full of fine sand--stay out of them.
Great Golfnow value for the money.
Atlantis Country Club
Played On 9/13/2013Great drainage
This is the best course to play after heavy rains, it drains well and there are minimal wet areas to deal with during your round.
The greens were still not completely healed, but held the line well.
Madison Green Country Club
Played On 9/9/2013Good Value at Golfnow
Course is in good shape and enjoyable. It is a challenge from the yellow tees and provides as much course as you want or need.
Staff was good, a mistake on check in price was corrected in professional manner. Pace of play was slow due only to the members of our group...should have been 3 1/2 hours.
North Palm Beach Country Club
Played On 09/05/2013Mickey Mouse greens
This was a nice older course before Jack Nicholas rehabbed it. The greens are like putt-putt greens up down and around. The conditions were average, a good value at the Hot Deal rate, but not at the rack rate.
GPS was added, but not working on day of play, 90 degree day, but cart never got to us and no vending machines on course.
Heritage Eagle Bend Golf Club
Played On 8/20/2013Good value
A good challenge in great condition. Greens were fast and in great condition. The member I played with was proud of the course and helpful on ball placement.
The starter listened to me when I told him that I would and could play with men....not every starter will fill out a group with a women.
Continental Country Club
Played On 7/21/2013Nice course.
Well conditioned, challenging. With no GPS, course could use more distance markers. There were not enough of them and there did not seem to be a method for where to find them.
For those of us from other states, make certain you check for water when you see a bridge...if it is dry go for it rather than lay up.
Lakota Links Golf Club
Played On 7/6/2013Enjoyed it
Empty course on a Saturday, pro shop very welcoming. Mary at snack bar friendly and helpful.
Course in good condition. GPS available on carts, but only text, no picture or diagram. Most of the holes are blind shots, dog legs or over trash so a layout would help.
Banyan Cay Resort & Golf
Played On 9/11/2012Nice non-traditional Florida course, could be in the Northeast.
The Patriot gets less attention that the RTJ Eagle course, but it is challenging and fair. The condition is generally good, on this day the greens were rough, but Hurricane Issac had dumped 18 inches of rain on the area. This course will challenge long hitters and still not kill 20+ handicappers.
GolfNow rates are very fair for the area regardless of the time of year.
