Deltona Club
Played On 05/11/2017Great Course/Great conditions
Despite the long drought in this area, the course is in very good condition. Greens were smooth and ran at a good speed. I have enjoyed every Bobby Weed design I've played such as Bent Creek and Slammer & Squire inJacksonville and he did a great job here. The mid tees were fun and challenging for me a 12 Hcp who gets it only 200-210 off the tee these days. Plenty of length for the long hitters from the tips. My only negative was with the directions given by GolfNow.. It missed a turn right off I-4 to gert to N. Normandy.
Reidy Creek Golf Course

Tees n greens in very nice condition. The rest very ruff. But it's a par 3 so you only need tees n greens
Kiskiack Golf Club
Played On 10/16/2015Nice layout
The course is a very nice layout and I hope to return and play it in better conditions. Day was fairly cold and overcast. Although there had been no rain for at least 6 days, I was told area had a lot of rain the previous week. Whatever the reason, the greens were very soft and badly marked up by "golfers" not repairing ball marks and dragging their feet. "Soft spikes" are worse than steel when people drag and twist their feet on the grass. If the greens had been allowed to dry out and firm up I think the problem would have been partially alleviated. I'd like to play the course in firm conditions because it is a very good design. Also, a sign in the cart said players should complete their round in 4:35 and it seems those in front of us took that to mean it was a minimum!!! No rangers came out to hasten play along so it took 4:45 to play which meant waiting on EVERY tee and for most approach shots!
Sandhill Crane Golf Club - Championship Golf Course
Played On 09/18/2015Conditions beat most ritzy private clubs!!!
I played after three consecutive days of hard rains in the area and the course had to be "cart path only" mostly because of the rough between the paths and fairways. The fairways and greens were SUPERB! Firm and smooth. Like putting on a pool table (although I've never done that!). Very interesting layout with a lot of challenging shots that will make you think. The back nine is unique in that it has 3 each par 3's, 4's and 5's. Only about 6,500 yards from the tips and 6,000 from the next set up but you'd better look at the hole diagram on each hole to see how to plan your shots. Pro shop staff were very friendly! Cannot say enough good things about the municipal courses in the Palm Beach area for design quality and course conditions, but this one was the BEST I got to play.
Palm Beach National Golf Course
Played On 09/14/2015A hidden gem in Palm Beach
A buddy & I played at mid-day on a Monday and finished in 3 hours 15 minutes. The course layout was fun and interesting with nice challenges throughout! Greens aerating had been done perhaps a week earlier so greens were not at their best, but still rolled nicely. Mike in the shop gave us a warm welcome and got us off feeling like his best members! Not much to say about food & bev, but I'm sure the course conditions will rate 5 stars by the first of OCT.
Mountain Brook Golf Club
Played On 07/03/2015Good in every respect
This course has a very good layout and conditions. The only thing keeping it from getting a higher mark is the greens run a little too slowly which makes chipping and putting less of a "touch" game. The facility also has a huge driving range with tees at both ends, nice putting green outside the pro shop and a very large practice green and bunker behind #2 green for pitching, chipping and sand shots. If you want a place to spend an extra hour or two for practice, this would be ideal. Some pretty easy holes but strong finishes on both sides. You will have fun!
Desert Canyon Golf Club
Played On 07/02/2015Good for all skill levels
Played with my wife (a 30 hdcp) and we both enjoyed the course. Only reaso I did not give it 5 stars for condition is that they had aerated and sanded about a week earlier and the greens were running pretty slow and a little bumpy. By the middle of July they ought to be perfect. Very friendly people and after 10 AM very little play so we had the course pretty much to ourselves. Great layout winding through the arroyos and hills with easy, downhill starts on 1 and 10. Little in the way of forced carries so good for my wife but plenty of challenge if you want to take it on. You will enjoy it!
Bear Creek Golf Complex - Bear Course

Simple course but not that easy. Good warm up on first day before trying some testers Nice folk !
Highland Walk at Victoria Bryant
Played On 06/11/2015Mountain golf
Course is very challenging with up, down and sidehill lies on almost every fairway shot. Conditions were wonderful. Greens were smooth and medium, speed, just right for the type of conditions. Only criticism is that for a first timer the course could use some direction flags/markers on half a dozen holes which have blind shots to the green. Lots of fun!
Innsbruck Golf Club
Played On 06/09/2015Narrow and Hilly !!
Although I normally drive the ball only 210-220 on flat courses at sea level, I played from back tees and really enjoyed the course. A number of tight driving holes and lots of up, down and sidehill lies in the fairways. Played on a morning after a night of hard rain and course was very playable although carts restricted to cart paths. Be sure to club up on uphill shots to greens because ball can come rolling back if you are short. Some nice deals in pro shop!
We are glad you liked the course. Thank you so much for taking the time to post a review, and we hope to see you again next time you're in North Georgia.
Apple Mountain Resort
Played On 06/08/2015Lots of fun. Challenging but not brutal.
Fairways are generous as are greens. Limited sand bunkers and no forced water carries so course is friendly for those who aren't long hitters or who occasionally hit it along the ground. Every hole is either up or down hill so sometimes you get to hit a really long drive!!! A good couples course! Although quite hilly the course would be very walkable for those inclined.
Kings Ridge Golf Club - Kings Course
Played On 05/21/2015Short but interesting
From back tees course is only about 6200 yards, but that's about right for me these days. Actually there are 2 BIG par 4's around 450 yards ,and a 205 yard par 3 but otherwise holes are of moderate length. No water to speak of. Large greens. Surprising amount of hills and good mix of straight and dogleg holes. Greens rolled very nicely. A HOT day but very fun!!
Royal St. Cloud Golf Links - Red/White Course
Played On 05/20/2015What a Value!!!
With our GolfNow price, this course was one of the best deals EVER! a great, fun layout. Fast & firm. Super smooth and medium fast greens. Very little water across fairways and most greens are open in the front to allow run up shots. We drove about 25 miles and it was well worth it!
Highlands Reserve Golf Club
Played On 05/19/2015Fun & Interesting
I played with my wife who does not hit the ball very far or high. Crossing ravines or water is her nemesis so this course was excellent for her. I don't recall one water hazard which crossed the fairway....perhaps none at all! Lots of rolling terrain and large, undulating greens. Made playing lots of fun since not every lie was flat nor every putt straight as some Florida courses. Played in just over 3 hours! Very friendly staff!
The Golf Club at Hilton Head Lakes
Played On 03/16/2015Not a "Fazio" course
They advertise as a "Tommy" Fazio course obviously to ride the Fazio reputation but it is not a TOM Fazio design! Not a bad layout and in good shape except for all the bumpy grass/weed spots on the greens. A long way from Hilton Head so that's also pretty misleading. I'd still recommend it if you can get a Golfnow deal for $20 or less.
Cimarrone Golf Club
Played On 12/02/2014A real challenge
Had not played Cimarrone in 10 years and was concerned about some negative reviews in the past few years. I found the course, particularly the greens, to be in very good condition. Only criticism was some areas were a little wet even without recent rain. a LOT of water on this course, but if you play the right tees, the few forced carries aren't too tough. Enjoyed the challenge!
Magnolia/Dogwood at Brunswick Plantation & Golf Links
Played On 11/12/2014Worth the drive
A little out of the way from Myrtle Beach, but worth the trip. Course is very nice as is the clubhouse. Not much roll on the fairways so it played 10% longer than the card. Condition of course is excellent but many players do little or nothing to repair ball marks or rake bunkers. Getting to be a sad "normal" in golf lately.
River Oaks Golf Club
Played On 11/11/2014WET !
No evidence of overseeding, but as others have said, the ground around the greens is like a swamp!! If they did overseed, it is past time for the water to be reduced because balls plug and bury when hit just short or to the side of greens. No run up shots to front pins!!! Otherwise, the layout is fun and in nice shape. Other detraction of overwatering is the unsightly ruts caused by golf carts or maintenance equipment.
The Valley at Eastport Golf Club
Played On 11/10/2014Fun course
Played with my wife and both of us enjoyed the course. Greens looked just OK but putted great! Had a fun day.
Glad to hear you enjoyed our practice area and the course conditions even with the hot weather.
