The layout of Cypress Head is terrific! Lots of challenges from multiple doglegs, numerous water hazards, well designed bunkers and greens with challenging contours. I noticed a plaque in the clubhouse from the dedication and the designer was named McGee I think. Anyway, no one I'd ever heard of, but he sure did a super job here. I'll look for other courses he's done if I can get his full name. Did not use the bar/food facility. Only reason the course did not get a 5 for condition is that they were doing some sanding on some greens. I saw lots of players on the course but play moved along very well. Played thru one group and never waited at any other time.

I did not use bar so no score there. Greens had been aerated recently and were not totally recovered which is only reason conditions did not get a 5. No doubt in a week it will be perfect. Even the range and practice greens are in great shape. A LOOOONG drive for me, but I was rewarded with a great experience! Not a walking course with some very long distances between holes.

Excellent course design and condition! Started at 1215 and finished just before 4. Although the total yardage from the Blues was about right for my shorter driving game, there were 2 holes with forced carries off the tee on which I hit solid tee shots and didn't quite make it ! Lots of fun!

Played with 2 guys from England who were a real pleasure to be with! Course was in very good shape although it did not allow carts on it due to overseeding fairways. Greens were already done and putting great. Very busy but pace of play was good!

Kiln Creek is a very scenic course with a lot of undulation. Course is spread out through a housing development which makes a cart pretty desirable. Area has had a lot of rain recently so course was somewhat soft and greens held everything. Nice turf on greens. They putted very well considering the amount of rain. Only negative about course were a couple of blind hazards which can surprise a first timer.

I really enjoyed my round and although the course is not very long in total yardage, it has some very challenging holes and requires the use of every club in the bag. Greens putted very well and overall conditions were excellent if not quite Augusta National. Unless you are a bomber, you will enjoy this course!!

Course had several days of hard rain prior to our play and was in perfect condition. no mudballs. beautiful greens! Just a real pleasure to play.

Course had lots of rain for several days and even rained on front 9 when I played but drainage was excellent. Very challenging and well maintained course! Might have a little too many water hazards for for someone who doesn't get ball up well or more than a 25 handicap.

Former LPGA tour player Donna White runs the show. Great public layouts (27 holes) and excellent conditioning. Had received a lot of rain prior to our play but for the most part course drained well. Very enjoyable layout.

Total length is only 6300. BUT 3 of the par threes are over 200 from back tees. Quarry holes are challenging, visually spectacular and lots of fun to play! Excellent value

I can't give it 5 stars because it just isn't Augusta National or ready for a U.S. Open, BUT it is almost always in excellent condition and fun to play. Wind adds greatly to it's challenge and interest. Greens are medium speed, but since they don't roll them, scalp them and starve them of water, they always have a nice grass cover and roll true.

I used to play Selve often during the many years my parents were members and have fond memories of it. The last few years have been tough for this club and I hope they have stabilized and will be around for many years to come. The course was in good shape.....not great, but much better than it was just 2 months ago. I expect it will continue to improve. With the exception of a few spotty places on a couple of greens, they were very nice and rolled very well! All in all, a good test and improving conditions make this an excellent value.

This is a very nice layout with many challenging holes, especially a fine grouping of par threes. The condition has improved quite a lot since a year ago and is now better than average. A very good test but not punishing.

Course is fairly open but gets it's challenges primarily from proximity to ocean. Can get quite breezy. Nice condition. We got cut short by rain and staff was very friendly about issuing a rain check.

All you would expect from a Trent Jone Jr. course
Excellent conditioning. Lots of hilly terrain. Could play here multiple times and be challenged every time.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Perhaps I'm imagining it, but playing with my wife, it seemed as if majority of holes had firm, downhill sloping fairways. Great for the ego and a confidence builder! Lots of fun to play!
