Course is not in as good a shape as usual. Sand traps were absolutely terrible, more like hard mud traps. No coolers on the carts even though the temp. is 80+? Our cart could barely make it to the next tee, should have changed it. I know about a month ago they said they were getting new carts, obviously that hasn't happened. Kind of disappointing.

Greens need a little more tlc, don't really run true, pretty slow for this time of year. Pace was great though, got through in just under 4 hours. Tried to buy a pair of woman's sandals that were in the clearance section, still way too expensive, too bad.

This is not a course to play quickly as a rule, however we did make it in just over 4 hours, very pleasant surprise. Greens are fast and true, no complaints there. Fairways have a fair amount of scalping so some times a good hit in the middle of the fairway is not always rewarded. Overall, if you get a deal, worth playing.

Course needs a lot more water but overall, was in o.k. shape. For the money, definitely worth the drive. New management, hopefully they'll get the course back in to shape.

For the first time in a long time, they actually had sand in their traps and it played just like it should. Needs a little more water, especially the tee boxes, but for the money, couldn't beat it.

Lots of dried out areas on the fairways. Some greens are very rough, lots of killed grass. Price is right, but there is a reason for it.

What a shame, we always loved golfing at this course. Staff have no idea what is going on, it is not being looked after and it shows. Greens are like a hardwood floor, fairways are going brown. Gets any worse, may as well shut down the course. Guess it's going through an owner change and NO ONE is looking after it. What a shame.

Started on 10 and the first 8 holes were at a good pace. Got to the ninth hole and it was slow the rest of the 10 holes. Have to say, this happens almost every time we play this course. You'd better be ready for a slow round..

Course is in great shape, greens quite fast. Fairly straight forward layout but still nice course. Only complaint was with pro shop staff. Wanted to buy a logo ball and it was 3:10. Pro shop closes at 3:00? We say him leaving, till was closed and that was that. Not exactly great customer service.

Starters were having problems getting people off on time. Pace of play was exceptionally slow. Unfortunately, that's par for the course (pardon the pun) for Johnson Ranch. Pretty frustrating. Fairways are in great shape, greens are a little slow.

The greens have so much sand on them that you needed to move the ball over at times. The greens are unplayable right now. Fairways are still quite brown but definitely playable.

Course was in good shape, and went around under 3 hours, so pace was excellent. However, very windy (and thus probably why we only encountered one other couple who let us play through right away).

Last time we played this course, greens were quite slow. Not this time, they've fixed them and they are in good shape (with exception of #9 which was slower than the rest). Went around with no delays, great round.

Course was being watered and it needed it, but overall pretty good shape. Greens were very slow, need to be sped up.

Unfortunately, we got behind a 4 some that was beyond slow and there was no marshal on the course. Hole 8 is a par 3 and we just skipped it because the 4 some was not only slow, but very uncaring about anyone behind them (from hole 2 to hole 8, we never had a shot that we didn't have to wait). Once we skipped that hole, it was clear sailing for the rest of the round. The course needs a marshal or something to monitor slow play. The course itself is in good shape, greens are fairly quick, no complaints in that regard.

Course was in o.k. shape, but it's just after overseeding, so it is expected. We were basically on our own, finished in just over 3 hours. For the cost, $10.00, you cannot beat it.

The course is in average shape right now. First time playing it, was o.k., not great, not bad. Had a very slow 4some in front of us, waited at every hole. No marshal, round was pretty slow, especially for this time of year. Need a marshal out there to keep things going at a reasonable pace.
