About
Variety is the spice of life. I enjoy playing new courses and exploring what they have to offer. To date I've played 544 different courses, from Pebble Beach to St. Andrews. I have also played every public course in New Jersey and many in the surrounding states. I'm always looking for somewhere new to play. @aol.com

Suneagles Golf Club
Played On 12/22/2016Winter Rules
This is a modest Tillinghast design. The conditions were good for this time or year. I enjoy the layout with some interesting holes. #6 a long par 4 with the green fronted by a stream. #7 a short par 3 over water. #10 is a lay up hole par 4. And #17 par 3 which in the old days was an island green
Lely Resort Golf & Country Club - Flamingo Island Course
Played On 12/09/2016The Enjoyable Flamingo
The course just opened from 2 weeks of maintenance.
The the conditions could have been a little better. Fairways were a little sparse and the greens a little bumpy.
Naples Grande Golf Club
Played On 12/08/2016Very Very Nice
This might be one of my favorite Florida courses. Why you ask? No houses, no condos, just golf!!! Some terrific holes too. The 9th, par 5 with the key shot being your 2nd where position is very important or you're blocked out by a huge tree fronting the green that is also protected by water. The 16th, cape hole with water all down the left side to an elevated green on a peninsula out in the water, spectacular.
Forest Glen Golf & Country Club
Played On 12/07/2016Great Wildlife
This is a fun interesting course with some challenging holes. The highlight though, was the Bald Eagle that landed in front of us on the 9th hole next to the water.
A must play.
Bonita National Golf & Country Club

Typical Florida course with some interesting holes.Water on every hole. Favorite was the 13th, par 3 with all carry.
Suburban Golf Club
Played On 12/01/2016A Tillinghast.....
.....Classic. He followed true with his design on this rolling terrain. With elevated tees and greens and deep bunker protecting each. Hilly but walkable. Private, if you get the chance , take it
Skyway Golf Course at Lincoln Park West
Played On 11/18/2016Improvements
Since I last played here the made a good course even better. Thy cut down the rough so less time searching for balls and they made the 8th fairway more reachable off the tee. I wish it was 18 holes.
Royce Brook Golf Club - West Golf Course
Played On 11/17/2016West Course
All good. Conditions, tees, greens, and fairways. 200+ bunkers, you just need to avoid them.
New York Country Club
Played On 11/14/2016Beautiful views....
.....from the club house. Course conditions were very good. I didn't even mind the few greens that were top dressed. But watering some greens in the middle of the round to the point that there were puddles, I don't think so. Maybe because it was a Monday. The greens were too fast for the undulations. Otherwise fun to play.
Copper Hill Country Club

...play this course every day. Very enjoyable, what you see is what you get, and conditions were excellent.
Bowling Green Golf Club
Played On 11/07/2016Great Conditioning
Course is in great shape, tees, fairways and greens.
It's a little tighter than it looks. Consider shorter club off tee to keep it in the fairway. Just a little pricey.
Galloping Hill Golf Course
Played On 11/03/2016Championship Golf
There has been great improvements over the last few years and there is still work going on. It is certainly a challenging layout. The greens are much quicker then I remember too.
Bethlehem Golf Club - Executive Nine
Played On 10/24/2016An Enjoyabe Round
This course is fun to play. It is not the typical "Gordons" course. This Father and Son team has done several course in PA. and NJ. and this course has large undulating greens. Just a little disappointed that the par 3's are all about the same length. Food is good in the Clubhouse Grill.
Bunker Hill Golf Course
Played On 10/18/2016Solid 3 Stars
Short, which is good. Greens were smooth for the most part, but were slow. Fairways were sparse, but off the fairway was shaky. But you can't beat $30 to ride and finished in 3.5 hours.
White/Red at Edgewood Country Club
Played On 10/17/2016A Challenge
This course is private, but I was able to play through an MGA Event. Hot tip, hire a caddy as the rough is heavy. Some exciting holes especially the par 3's.
Mattawang Golf Club
Played On 10/14/2016Always Enjoyable
Course is in good condition. Greens and fairways are terrific. Wish the tees were a little more level. The best is the price, $36 to ride.
We are glad you enjoyed your round! Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.
We are also in agreement on our tee boxes and currently working towards a better situation.
Watchung Valley Golf Club
Played On 10/11/2016Keep it below the hole.
This hilly terrain course is enjoyable to play. Holes run up hill, down hill, or side hill. The greens are very quick and true so you must be below the hole. Most putts break away from the hill. Favorite holes were #13 par 3 to a punch bowl green and the new #14 par 4 monster uphill to an elevated green
This course is now known as Watchung Valley Golf Club
Concordia Golf Club
Played On 10/07/2016Fun Course
Not too long. Conditions were not the best with bare spots in the fairway and some tees. The bunkers were bad, filled with stones. Play was slow, could of used a ranger.
Neshanic Valley Golf Course - Meadow/Lake Course
Played On 10/03/2016Meadow to Ridge
There are 3 different 9's here. Country club conditions throughout. The 2 nines I played were a little bland except for Ridge #5. A par 5 with a forced carry off the tee. Then a decision must be made, do you play back over the hazard with an easier 3rd shot or play down the fairway and play your approach over the hazard. A little pricey ($65) for out of county senior. They do post their areation schedule on there web site. (NICE)
Neshanic Valley Golf Course - Academy Course
Played On 10/03/2016Short Course
It plays 2019 yds from the tips, longest hole is 269 yds.
A "sunday bag" with a few clubs works just fine and is very walkable. Conditions are excellent. It's called the "Academy" because it's a great practice facility. It was great to see so many kids playing and practicing.
Favorite was hole #2, a 166 yd par 3 over water.
