Short but challenging with waste areas and bunkers throughout the course. Greens protected with sand traps.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Great Value. Solid.
Pro Shop advised that the 1st tee is crowd sourced. Single guys (playing as a solo group) are allowed to go first. Tee times not rigid. Ready golf is tee box open. They had just punched the greens a few weeks ago spoke the greens were a bit uneven but otherwise good course conditions.
Very limited Services , no water , no restroom,
Attendant needs to retire. Very rude and should not work anymore,
Overall not bad course
Course layout was decent. Course comditions were ok. Fairways and rough were good but the greens were horrible. Looks like recently punched but lots of sand. Made for rough putting. Bunkers had alot of rocks in them and whem u hit out of bunker you just prayed there was no rocks to damage your clubs. All in all, i would play again when greens are healthy and taken care of
I will never understand...
I booked on Golf Now a week in advance of my tee time on 6/26. Show up at the course and there is a line of people getting a refund because the course just punched the greens in the last day or two. Why does the course and/or Golf Now not give notice when people book online. I would have cancelled and played another course if I would have known. This course is always cheap in the summer, but not worth it at any price, in my opinion.
Very disappointing and I will likely pass on future rounds there. Too many other nice courses that you give notice of course maintenance.
The staff is friendly, the course is great, the course is in great condition.
Rode the Blacks (6782/71.6/122) as a single in 2H, 45M mid day on a GN Hot Deal. The weather was clear, fairly calm and in the low 100's.
COVID-19: Mask only @ check-in. They provided ice chests, but restaurant closed. No rakes or divot mix.
First time here in almost 2 years. Fairways 2-4 are more level than they were before they were washed away and rebuilt after the Feb 2019 flood. They no longer lean toward the wash, which is a plus. Reasonably wide open, flat layout with few forced carries and not overly tough for the average golfer. I enjoy this course as a change of pace, a solid mid level alternative for the Palm Springs area that is usually in decent shape.
Today was no exception. Firm and plenty of tan areas, but the course is very playable. Bermuda tees, fairways and rough all have good coverage. Semi lush with a few brown/thin areas due to the heat. All are mowed close.
Traps had decent sand, but contain too many rocks and unraked areas to be considered good.
Bermuda greens were firm and putted medium speed with few ball marks.
Customer service was good, quick efficient check-in. All grass driving range. No drink cart or Marshall, I only saw a few other groups playing this afternoon. GPS on the basic carts to the front/middle/back of the green and tips to hazards. Recommended.
Cimarron is one of the best!!
Cimarron was pretty well wiped out 18 months ago by a substantial storm. It’s back better than ever. One of my 2 favorite courses in the valley and I’ve played most of the public courses. I’m an 8 hdcp, so I’ve been around the block. For me, a good course has you use every club in your bag. That’s Cimarron. The course is in great shape and greens fees are the best bargain around.
We played Boulder course
We picked a wrong day. wind was blowing and it was very difficult to keep the ball in play.
Amazing getting out again! The course is as expected. I played in 40 mph winds this afternoon and it was great practice. Just great to get out!
Challenging Par 3 Course
Mostly short holes, but a few needing long irons. Almost no bunkers, but most greens have fall-offs in front and/or sides which require full carry shots. Fairways and greens in good condition. Fun course to play but a good test of your accuracy!
I arrived about 45 minutes early and was greeted by the friendly staff. Checked in and I got some range balls. After grabbing my golf cart I headed to the range to warm up. The range balls were new and the driving range was immaculate. I then practised putting on a their huge putting green which was also immaculate. I went off about 20 minutes earlier than my tee time. The course was in great shape played the 18 holes in 2 hours and 47 minutes. I had a great time playing and enjoying the amazing view. Great all-around experience! Thank you.and Lord willing "I'll be back!"
The Short Game
This course for me is the best executive layout I’ve played. The holes are challenging and help my GIR (Greens In Regulation) practice. I hope to translate shots made here onto the larger courses.
Greens, tee boxes and surrounding fairways are well maintained for true shot making. True in the sense of not having unfair, of poor lies of the ball. Completely enjoyable, equitable and beneficial for my short iron game.
Good course with very slow foursomes.
Course is a good layout with some real challenging holes from the tips. Good value for the very inexpensive green fees.
Place of play was not good at all. No timing for groups to go out. A mess that way.
Two foursomes were extremely slow and slowed entire track. One can understand that under the current conditions a marshal would not be available. Just poor golfers with lack of consideration for any others on the course.
Course was good though overall.
Not too much trouble
Played during Covid-19 rules, but it was fine. Decent condition and not too much trouble on the course. Fairly wide open.
