Tremendous remodel!
Overall the remodel is awesome! The course is much more playable but is still very challenging. The greens are better this year, but are probably still a season away from holding approach shots like mature greens do. The greens are GREAT for putting though!
Nice course carved from the pines.
Well maintained fairways and beautiful, fast, true greens. Some nice mountain views. Enough tee boxes to provide a challenge.
Remodeled in 2012, much better layout, many unnecessary trees removed
Very nice layout, in very good condition, for a public course. New layout is much improved over previous course.
All around great golf course
Views were amazing, course was in great shape. Great great day of golf.
Courses at Black Butte Resort--2
Big Meadow course in great shape tee to green. A woodland course with generous fairways and moderate elevation changes mostly favoring the golfer off the tee. Striking views of mountain peaks in the area.
Gorgeous on-course views. A fun course.
But-- I advise you to spend your money playing the newly remodeled Glaze Meadow course if you have one day of play at the Black Butte Resort.
Staff were very helpful and the course was in excellent shape
We did have three players in front of us that were playing the Blue Tees and should have been playing the whites at the max. it would have been nice to have a someone move them to the proper tees. The hold up probably added 45 min. to the round.
Great Course
This is a great course to play and definitely well worth the hot deal price. Some of the fairways and rough near the green side bunkers need some work (patches of dirt, no grass), but I would be more than happy to play there again.
The only negative thing I saw was the marshall needed to make the slow group(s) play faster or wait until the faster group(s) behind them play through.
Fun layout
Layout of the course was fun. A lot of variety in the track. My only complaint is the greens. Holding a ball on some of the greens is almost impossible. The greens roll beautifully when you putt but getting a ball to sit on the greens is the most challenging part of the track. Hopefully the greens mature a little more because I really enjoyed the course overall. Will definently be back in the near future.
Great course
Loved this course pretty straight forward track not to difficult but u will find plenty of sand for shots that are off target. Staff was some of the nicest I've encountered. I will play again for sure
Very pretty , course was in excellent shape
Course is beautiful, well taken care of. Nice all around
Title
Course recently renovated and does not register on a Garmin watch. Greens still maturing and do not hold a shot. Love the layout, though. Course in excellent condition.
Redesign of Glaze Meadows makes this an outstanding play!
The lengthening and redesign of the Glaze Meadows course over the past 2 years makes this an oustanding course. More tee boxes, more length, bigger greens, opening up of the fairways and the views of Black Butte! Wow, it was really fun to play this course!
Nice greens & bunkers.
I played this course as a single in 2-1/2 hours. was very enjoyable. There was some maintenance going on since it was early morning and most of the crew shut off the mowers and pulled out of the way until I teed off, except one person on the back nine running a weed trimmer. He looked at me a few times but kept on, so I let her rip. luckily I hit a good shot because believe me I hit a few that might of nailed him earlier.
Beautiful course!
We played the glaze meadow course last year and it was a little rough. We were so pleased to play this year now that the course has matured. It is absolutely beautiful and easy to play and challenging at the same time. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend it to anyone. The views along the ponds are spectacular and we played the best golf we have in a long time. The welfare is very proffessional and helpful. Give Glaze Meadow a try. You won't be disappointed!
very nice cource
what a great deal from golfnow. Great course at a very good price. will use this again.
Slow and steady does not win the race
Played Black Butte Glaze Meadows on Sunday afternoon after we played two other courses the two previous days. The course was well maintained and the recent renovations to the Glaze course was appreciated. The first 8 holes was very scenic and challenging with the placement of the water and sand traps. We were back up starting on hole number 3 due to two foursomes (4 guys and their 4 wives in front of them) 4 holes ahead. So we were able to play ahead and end up skipping a hole so we didn't have to wait at each hole for the foursome to spend 10-15 minutes to find their ball. No marshall in sight to expedite the speed of play. When the marshall finally approached us at #10, he was quite rude and confrontational. He finally let us play thru and no other groups for another seven holes. We look forward to playing this course again and will be better prepared to slow play.
Most beautiful course I have played.
Great course, green, and beautiful views and ponderosa pines.
Very challenging but fair course.
A little hard to find and negotiate the Black Butte fences.
Worth the trouble. Not overcrowded and gorgeous playing conditions. I was impressed.
Great mountain course w/views.
Glaze Meadows is a sweet course. Scoreable despite slope. Excellent condition.
Excellent value great course
The course was in the best shape it has been in a while. Greens were in great shape and the course was well manicured.
This course needs mangament
tourist play , lot of walkers, very slow, no beverage cart Let a fivesome play with 2 bags.
not a good buy, very beautiful, good shape Could be one of the best in the northwest but must change.
