Fall golf in the mountains.
The course was in really good shape considering the amount of rain we had. Only had a couple of holes where you can really tell, but overall it was in very good condition. It’s a beautiful course in the mountains, lots of scenic views, clubhouse personnel was very nice. Is a definite do over for sure especially at the rate we got. All the encores golf amenities were closed and the course was pretty wide-open and I understand not having much else open but the course. We will be back for sure!
Not worth the money
Cool course, and not crowded, but very over watered and expensive for that kind of condition. I would have expected a much nicer condition at that price. I won’t be coming back unless they cut the price in half. Also, the drive out there was nice due to being early in the morning, but the drive back through Portland sucked! …long and full of traffic.
3 nines course
We played Pinecone & Thistle. Both were in pretty good shape considering the amount of hot weather we've had. Fairways had some bare spots, but the greens were much better than I expected. We will play here again.
A cow pasture would be a better choice!
Rude staff at the pro shop made for a stressful start. The course fees are way too expensive ! The un-maintained overall condition of the course was appalling. The restrooms at the club house were disgusting! Spend your money elsewhere!
Beautiful Course
Excellent mountain course. Foxtail nine is tight in spots.very fun course.
Must go!
Loved this place so much the first time I played, had to go back 4 days later. The staff are fantastic and you can’t beat the scenery.
Aerated Greens
This is a beautiful course setting with tons of trees. We played Thistle as the first nine, and unfortunately the greens had just been aerated, so putting was winter rules. Second nine was Foxglove and the greens were good.
Will have to play this little gem again in order to give it higher ratings.
Great getaway
We played two of the three 9s (Pine/Thistle) because of the deal and the fact that we were late booking something closer to home.
The course was in good shape for this time of year. Greens played harder than one would expect. At only 1,300’ elevation, there is no worries about walking the course - you won’t run out of oxygen.
Hood
Just a great day but the greens were just plugged so most were two puts.
Excellent value for this quality course
Great course and played it for the price of a muni. Totally worth the drive from Portland for a round.
