Beautiful course
Beautiful layout. Trees and water with view of the mountains! Fast greens. $70 is a good price for the course. $120 is not.
Incredible layout and beautiful features
I love playing here anytime I go. It’s always good pace compared to everywhere else in central Oregon and the practice facilities are very nice
Challenging Resort Course
My wife and I were in Sunriver for a USTA tennis event and took advantage of a free afternoon to play some golf. The course, especially the greens, were in great shape. This is a pretty tough course -lots of bunkers around the green that force you to "fly it in" so it is important to play from the proper tees. We were paired with two ladies and had an enjoyable round.
The staff was friendly and professional. We look forward to playing there again!
Nice Course
Nice course in good condition. Had to hit off of mats on the practice range which detracted from initial impression. Good Golfnow rate, otherwise would consider overpriced. Pace of play was a disappointment as we wound up behind two fivesomes from hole #7 to finish.
Good golf course, perfect weather
Enjoyed the course, have played it many times. Pace of play was terrible even though the starter said it was 4 hours. A foresome ahead was so slow, we had to skip #7 and go around them. THere was no one ahead.
Great course but those sand traps!
This course is loaded with sand traps! Everyone in our group couldn't avoid them. The greens are guarded by these traps and you need to play very smart to avoid them. That said, I enjoyed the challenge and was thankful the sand traps are well maintained. You want to avoid the thick grass which looks like fescue. It's not helpful.
The course is in a beautiful setting. On some holes the views are spectacular.
This course is beautiful with great scenery and is great for all ranges of skill level
I’ve played this course so many times and every time I enjoy myself. The staff is friendly and it is accompanied by great practice facilities as well as a beautiful maintained course. I would definitely reccomend this course or any other in the Sunriver area.
A Sunriver gem
I play this course regularly and never get fed up with it.
It is always a challenge with well placed bunkers and water hazards, and a lazy and errant shot can punish you.
The course is always in great condition with firm, green fairways and quick but receptive greens. This year more sand was added to the bunkers, which in the past has been hard and more difficult to play to the pin.
Every hole is very different on this course with a fine selection of doglegs, and elevation changes. The fairways have generous landing areas , but a bad shot can be punished by trees, rocks, long grass bitterbrush. Playing from the member tees ( a mixture of blue and white) will require using almost every club in the bag, while the white tees is an excellent option for the higher handicapper.
Th enjoyment of playing this course is always enhanced by the very professional staff who are super friendly and helpful.
This course is a must for golfers visiting Central Oregon.
I miss how it used to be!
This used to be my favorite course in Sunriver, but ever since the 'eyebrows' got put in, it no longer is. Can't get to the green from the fairway bunkers anymore.
Like it more the more I play it
I used to prefer the Meadows to this course, but now prefer this one. Haven't figured out how to play #8 with that tree in the middle, always seem to get right behind it or the branches are in the way. #11 is long for most women. But the views are great and the staff are very accommodating!
I moved to Sunriver so I could play here a lot
I live on the 16th fairway of the Sunriver Woodlands golf course. Can't get enough of the course. I do play the other Sunriver courses and enjoy them also. The greater Central Oregon area has lots of really great courses. One of the advantages of playing here is that the fairways and greens are in great shape and are not beat to death by excess playing. I use an annual pass so I can play whenever.
What a change of scenery!!
You have to play this course when in Central Oregon! Lots of changes to the bunkering and native grasses around all the bunkers. Beautiful to look at and always a challenge. Play it in the afternoon when the wind comes up and you will have all you can handle. Greens are in excellent condition. Course is stunning to look at in its present state.
Great golfing experience
This course has a layout you can never get tired of playing. No trick holes to contend with here. The tree lined fairways
provide a secluded and enjoyable experience.
