Under construction
Course is under repair. Only nine hole course. Signs are faded and hard to read. Two sets of flags on greens( one set for first nine another for second nine).. was not explained this and was under the impression it was eighteen hole course.
Same 9 holes twice
Still recovering from the hurricane. Only 9 holes open. Bare spots on the fairway
Too much $$$$ for what you get
Course is very rough. I understand that it was severely damaged in the hurricane, but that was 4 years ago. It seems that none of the green fees are being used to maintain the open part of the course.
Considering the entire island was under water only a few years ago, it’s in very good shape. Yardage markers would help a lot.
Does not deserve the previous reviews
What a surprise, we really enjoyed the course. The greens were in great shape and the fairways very playable. The reviews that have been written in the past are no longer accurate and don't do the course justice. Worth the money to play, it is a 9 hole course that you play twice. We will play it again this week.
Worst course I’ve ever played
Course was in terrible condition. It was basically like playing on a desert. They also started running the sprinklers during us playing.
Convenient course
The course itself needs a lot of work. They loss 9 holes in the last hurricane. While over the winter I could see a slight improvement, much, much more needs to be done. To me the daily fee is way more than the course is worth, but better than driving to Key West.
This course lost 9 of their 18 holes several years ago to a hurricane. You must play the same nine twice with two different flags on the green.
The greens are tolerable. The course is pretty beat up. But it's the only course for 30+ miles. I got hooked up with another single at 8AM and we played in 2-1/2 hours.
Overall review
Greens where a bit slow but in good shape. Fairways where is good shape on 7 holes. #1 & #7 not good. Fairly short course for seniors but fun to play. Pro shop has beer and some snacks. Overall, not too bad for the money.
Florida Keys
This is a unique re-play of same 9 with different pin holes. Some water and sand traps. Fun and interesting course.
good course
first - this is not a Pete Dye course. the keys are not the lush primped courses of southern florida. Having said that i really enjoyed the round and value. pace of play was excellent. the staff was over the top friendly. they are getting over a hurricane and you play the front nine twice. very good value for the money .
