One of the best is the Orlando area.

Had perfect weather for one of the best resort style courses in the area. Fairways are wide and the rough is not that rough or penal. Throughly enjoyed the round. Next time we vacation to Orlando I am going to try the sister course.

It is very fair to the mid level handicap golfer.

You should give it a try, you will not be dissappointed.

Nice value priced track to knock the dust off your game.

We were a bit speculative on our drive from the resort areas of Florida as this course is located near both an airport and trailer parks. When we arrived the young lady working the counter was friendly and cordial. It is not the type of place where there are bag attendants and starters awaiting to great you.

The course itself was fun and fair and coming from "up north" it was a perfect place to get out and knock the rust off.

The greens rolled fast and true, the tee boxes were level and well taken care of. When we played Florid is going through a drought and the course was firm and fast? It was not lush by any means but it also was not as burned up as I thought it could have been.

We played for$20 on a golf now hot deal and we played late in the afternoon and pretty much had the course to ourselves.

Definitely worth the drive if you are looking to save a few bucks and whack it around.

Great track, needs a ranger

We were excited to play this course and drove 90 minutes to come play it. We started and the guy behind the desk indicated that people were not playing fast that day and he was right. After waiting 10 minutes between each shot (it took 2:30 to play 8 holes) we just decided to bag it.

I am hopeful to replay this course and try to get out earlier in the day because it truly is a hidden gem. The course was in immaculate condition and the greens rolled true and were not too fast.

It's too bad we were not able enjoy the day as much as we would have hoped. We are accustomed to play 18 holes in 3:30 to 4:00 hours and a 5:30 to 6:00 round is just not doable for us.

What a great track for the money!

Played mid day on a beautiful Friday afternoon. Was rather surprised the golf course wasn't busier for such a nice day. The staff couldn't have been nicer, the whole operation from arrival to departure was too notch. I've payed twice as icy for courses half as nice. Greens rolled true and fast.

My only complaint is the did not have sand on the carts to repair your divots in the fairway. I replaced what I could during play but that sometimes felt inadequate since the course was in such nice shape I wanted to leave it just as nice as when I arrived.

If you haven't tried this hidden gem you should it's well worth the drive.

Just an ok track, there are several better in the area.

Played on a last minute whim. Booked deal online through golf now for under $25 bucks. Course conditions were ok, the layout is a bit quirky. It is tighter than most courses in the area, with narrow fairways (bordered by houses and busy roads). Was nervous on several tee shots as the wind was heavy on the day I played and a wayward tee shot could be easily find OB.

There was not a ranger or starter on the course and play was slowed up by a group who did not understand golf ediquitte.

There are several other better options in the area so I likely will not return.

A fun golf course with plenty of room off the tees.

Played this on a golf now online rate. They have 27 holes and I played the woodlands/island golf set up. Fairly generous fairways and the golf course is pretty straight forward, no hidden water of traps. They had nice GPS units on the carts that provided accurate yardages to both pin and showed hole layouts and yardages to bunkers water carries and other useful things.

Greens were ok ( some folks in groups ahead did not repair divots and pitch marks).

The had a starter but I did not see a ranger out on the course and pace of play was slowed on my second 9 due to some first time golfers playing in a scramble format that did not understand golf ediquett which put a damper on what was a wonderful afternoon.

I would play again, fair reasonably priced track.

Fun well maintained RTJ track

Played on a nice summer afternoon. Played as a single and got paired up with another gentleman who was familiar with the course and offered help on where to hit it ( and more importantly where not to hit it, as there are some water hazards that are not visible on some shots on the course). Overall course was in decent shape, would have been nicer if the folks in front of us repaired their pitch marks and replaced their divots.

Fun parkland style golf course

This is a fun well kept municipal course. The course layout is a bit quirky, (especially on hole 13), not having played in a couple of years it wasn't clear from the tee box where you needed to play your tee shot. We had a couple of kids that were walking and not keeping up the group in front of them. There wasn't a ranger, so after patiently waiting on several holes we finally drove up to them and expressed to them the need to keep up with the group in front of them. They were very polite and apologized and we didn't have any issues after that.

Overall a fun day and a very nicely kept golf course

Nice track - fun to play nice variety of holes

Played on a warm Friday afternoon. The course was in great shape and there is a creek that winds around the course and can come into play on several holes.

We had 3 groups of 5 -somes in front of us, but they played swiftly and we only had to wait on a couple of holes.

We had a single catch up with us after the front nine and he was a nice young gentleman and we enjoyed his company and he had played the course before and helped us understand where the trouble was off the tee.

Per my earlier comment on the 5-somes we still got around in 3:20 minutes which was great.

Overall the course was in excellent shape tee to green and the greens rolled fast and true.

After our round we went downtown and there is a neat microbrewery with excellent beers and appeared to have a tasty menu as well.

We drove an hour to play this (once private) course and there are homes bordering the course on a couple of holes but they are never in play .

Will definitely make the drive again to play again this summer.

Nice course... in need of a ranger to keep pace of play up.

Picked up a good deal for a last minute tee time on golf now website. Was paired with a twosome and we got stuck behind the slowest 4-some I have ever played behind.

After 2:15 to get to the 7th hole, I called the proshop and asked if they could send someone out to have this group pick up their pace of play. They were all 20+ handicappers playing from the blue tees. The proshop indicated they did not have anyone they could send out so we ended up skipping a hole and it was clear sailing after that.

Overall the tee boxes, fairwasys and rough was it great shape. The greens were fast but they were bumpy in several areas around where the holes were cut.

Overall it is a nice course at a decent price.

I am hopeful to try it again and hopefully pace of play will improve.

A nice surprise - great bang for the buck.

This golf Has dramatically improved from the last time I played. The greens rolled true and most of the bunkers had nice sand and were properly prepared. This course was in the beat shape I have see it in the past 25 years.

As far as the course layout goes, it is a throwback to 75 years ago, small postage stamp greens, tree lined fairways and very flat and easy to walk.

It is an excellent family course, they also have a fun 9 hole course that is perfect for first time golfers (it actually used to be lighted back in the 60's and 70's).

I will likely be back now knowing that they are doing a much better job maintaining this hidden family owned / operated gem.

The best golf value in Orlando area

The best value course in Orlando area! The course was the best conditioned course we played on our 5 day trip to Florida. Greens rolled true, and the course was immaculate. The staff couldn't have been friendlier, and we were fortunate to be paired with a retired couple who had played the course and offered tips on where to play and where not to hit our tee shots. We played the white/ blue courses and it was super fair and plenty of area off the tees.

We will definitely be back on our next visit to Florida.

Nice track could be so much better with a good general manager.

Nice course, terrible course management. We arrived early to the course to have lunch at their restaurant, the only issue, it was closed for the day due to a private event. They had a hot dog window with limited options.

I wish I could say it would get better, but we had a 1:50 tee time and they did not have any carts so we had to wait for a cart before we could get out. When we signed in there was a sign on the desk saying carts had to back in at 6:00 pm.

Once out on the course we actually really enjoyed the layout and the course conditions, but we never saw a ranger to keep play moving.

This course could be so much better if it had better management. The employees were not empowered and everyone from the cart guys, to the check in counter personnel, and starter eluded to the fact that they have brought these issues to management and it kinda falls on deaf ears.

One additional note, to get into the property they have a gate and the guy working there who was lackadaisical to say the least. There was a line of 15 cars to get in and it seemed like it took at least a minute or two before they would raise the gate to let you in.

This course could be so much better if they had better management.

The greens keeper is the only reason why this course is still relevant.

Painfully slow today

We walked off the course after 13 holes, pace of play was brutally slow. The starter was also the ranger and they had booked 140 rounds for the day. The first two groups off were foursomes, and then there were at least 3 twosomes behind them. Apparently the lead groups played slow and would not let any groups pass them. I had enough after 4 hours of this and we left after 13 holes.

The ranger came out and apologized but by then our patience had worn out. We were not the only ones disappointed with pace of growth play. After 9 holes the group behind us (who were members) quit after nine.? They indicated they had never seen it that bad. When we left another group behind us also quit (we saw them in the parking lot).

Too bad as this course is fun to play.

One additional note, the greens were really slow, they had not mowed in a couple of days.

I will try it again when we return in February.

A nice surprise

I've been wanting to play this course for a long time. It was a sunny warm windy day and I had used a golf now discount code which made the course affordable. Fairly straight line layout with no surprises. The greens rolled fast and true, but there had been quite a bit of play and it seemed that maybe a few groups did not repair their pitch marks on the green.

Overall it was ok, I would play it again at a discounted rate but in my opinion the " rack rate" the have us overpriced by $30, it is a good $60 track but not a good $100 track.

Really cool golf course with 2 very different 9's

Played mid week with 11:00 am tee time. The course was is GREAT shape, and was a great deal using golf now hot deal tee time.

The front 9 is a the original 9 hole layout. It is challenging in that it has some hills and small greens on most holes (which was common back when this course was opened).

The back 9 is the newest 9 holes and it has several very nice houses (that are not at all in play). It also has some elevation changes but has much more generous fairways and much larger greens.

It has been 5 years since I have played the course and they now have a new club house with what appeared to be a very nice casual dining restaurant attached.

Overall one of the best values in the area.

Would play there again in a heartbeat.

Great track

We have played dove mountain before and it as just as nice as it was 3 years ago.

Even though they lost the Accenture event, the course still has one on the best layouts and vistas in the area.

Expect to pay top dollar for beverages at this golf course. My wife bought an airport sized bottle of vodka and 2 gatorades and we were shocked to find out the bill was $23.00. We felt a little ripped off due to that.

Tough golf course. Bring a good rake if you end up in the traps.

This is one of the first courses we played on our 6 day vacation. This is advertised as a resort course.

While it is located on a very nice resort. It was not your typical resort course. The bunkers are extremely unforgiving. For everyone you find expect it to be at least a one shot penalty as they are extremely deep and you cannot hit anything but a wedge out of them.

I think the course set up was very challenging for a mid to high handicapper and the difficulty of the course made pace of play very slow and if you play in the afternoon expect a 5+ hour round.

It seemed like every shot we had to wait for people to clear before we could hit our next shot. When we spoke with the ranger there really wasnt much he could do to improve the pace of play due to the difficulty of the course and the people who were playing in front of us.

Maybe it would have been a better experience if the pace of play wasnt so slow. Just couldnt get into any type of flow.

Great mid priced track

Great mid priced Phoenix golf course. Me and my buddy got paired with another gentleman and we were the first ones off on a weekday morning. The guy we got paired with was about the same handicap as us, and we had a wonderful morning.

Being first ones off, we were able to make the loop in a tick under 3 hours.

This course is located in a very nice residential area and there are many houses located on the course but they are far enough away from the course that they are not "in play" and you would swing with confidence.

Overall a very nice track and clubhouse.

IF you can get a good deal through golf now take the chance, you will not be disappointed.

A good warm up course if you are planning to play multiple courses in the area.

Pros : Very wide open golf course with average conditions. No housing located on course.

Cons: Pace of play a little slow ( they book in 8 minute increments) so it gets a little stacked up.
The course was in OK condition, they book a lot of rounds on this course and it shows. The fairways and greens were not what I would expect for a $50 + golf course.

The club house was a typical municipal 60's style set up. Nothing fancy but full bar and fair prices for drinks.

This course is great if you are coming from a colder climate and you need to dial in you swing prior to getting on the tighter house lined courses that are common to the Phoenix area.
