Great Layout!
Played here about 6 years ago and glad to see that not much has changed! The course is in great shape for this late in the year! The layout is somewhat challenging but not going to beat you down. Houses around the course and some new house construction may come into play off the tee. Got stuck behind a foursome that would not allow my twosome to play through. Their reason was " there is a twosome in front of us". Never saw this twosome and those three groups were the only ones out playing at that time!! Would play again because I enjoy the layout of this course! Helps when you shoot 79!
Interesting course
We played Walden Ponds on a cool mid November day. The course was in excellent condition considering it had been aerified about a month ago.Interesting holes with a variety of distances. The rate was reasonable so we will play it again. We enjoyed the challenge.
First time in US
Despite rainy weather, i enjoyed this while. Greens wer excellent ant fairway clean,no need to plaçe the ball, you can play where the ball stands. Staff found lefty clubs for me and there where as good as enough.
Gary Cromer
Was a great price will go more now. The course was a challenge. Which was good.
Nice course but poor management
Had a 1245 tee time from golf now - teed off at 105 was told there was a junior tournament in morning and management didn't allow enough time before scheduling tee times after Never saw a ranger the whole 18
Much improved!!
Kudos on fixing the course now fix the pace of play. An ideal, published, time of 4:30 where everybody HAS to ride a cart is ridiculous, 4:15 would be acceptable, up the road at Elks under 4 hours is the norm! It took us 4:45 today, a Wednesday, AND we played through two groups!!
The course is not very challenging but playing the Blue tees makes it fairly long, for me, at +6,400 yards. It is a fairly beautiful track if you don't mind the houses everywhere.
The condition of the course is MUCH improved, the fairways had no issues other than being wet in spots I'm guessing from a lot of rain. Some of the rough on hills and such is brown and messed up I'm thinking due to cart traffic. Bunkers need to be emptied, have proper drainage and sand installed. Some bunkers were like clay, unplayable, others had some sand but also gravel size rocks, dangerous. The greens are also much improved and while they have ball marks etc. making them look rough all putts today rolled true.
I'll play it again for $30 and under with cart, for over $40, or $50 (what are you thinking!??) I can do much better up the road.
Lots of bunkers
Always in great shape, love playing the Pond. Greens play true to read
Great value with fantastic greens...
All that can be as expected...a great value on a beautiful day...the greens were fantastic...but not much can said for my putting!
gr8 course
Gr8 course. Wide fairways . lot of bunkers, no trees but houses fairly close. Green quick but true. Greens hold well if you hit a decent shot in. Well worth the money especially if you are a senior.
Too SLOW
5.5 hr round. Starter did poor job of combining groups. I saw 3 twosome in a row. Never saw a ranger one time to help speed play. Cart path only when 90° would've been fine. Great course, fun and challenging. Nice flow of holes.
5 hours on a course where everyone rides a cart
People in front of us said 5 hours was normal on a Saturday
Great Course to play-Challenging at all levels. Management needs a lesson.
Great Course to play. It is local and it has decent fairways as well as greens.
Beware of scheduling big outings and make sure they actually wrote it down. The non-caring attitude in the office is going to kill this place! They feel they don't have to take care of the little guy, but are more hungry for big corporate outings. They even diss their own residents to become members and ca't get tee times. There is a new general manager "somewhere". Have never met or seen the new one.
They really need a business degree and marketing skills. Again great course, but working off your laurels can only last so long.
Wake up Waldon Pond, Who ever owns you.

Always a good round...
Hot day but course remains in excellent condition. Traps are in particularly good shape, While not the typical "white sand" everyone aspires to, but the content and grooming of the traps made them extremely playable.
This course was a great experience
Challenging course with great conditions. Will definitely come back and recommend to friends
Always looked forward to playing here
Greens were rough, and had large amounts of standing water in places, called the pro shop three or four times to see if they had a drink cart coming around, they said they would send it out, but never did.
Very nice course!
Great course, storm came through midway but we waited it out. Got a hole in one on #9!!!!
Course was a little wet still but was great to play!
The course is well maintained and a joy to play. It offers a number of challenges but is playable so most all would enjoy thoroughly, as we did. We would play again when we are in the area!
Walden ponds
This course was GREAT, it is wonderful for beginners since the fairways are nice and wide, veterans get some practice with driving for distance, plenty of par 4s and 5s over 400 yds, played 18 holes for $29 and I would love to play here again!
Not bad at all
Course was In good shape, minus heavy ball marks from heavy play. Not too difficult but fun
