Diamond Valley Golf Club is an easy drive into Hemet Valley from a number of locations including San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles. Though it's easily accessible, the course is tucked away in the San Jacinto Mountains, offering a feel of peaceful seclusion. The layout encompasses a variety of terrain, from scenic waterscapes to lush, rolling hills covered with native plants and grasses. With dramatic elevation changes from tee to green, this course isn't walker friendly, which can easily be overlooked if you're looking for a truly formidable test. The sloping nature of the landscape lends a different character to each hole and the elevated tees provide panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. One of Diamond Valley Golf Club's most memorable holes is the par-3 17th. It's as scenic as it is challenging, requiring a short iron to wedge shot over a cascading waterfall.

Geofenced carts are intrusive.

The constant gps feedback affecting the carts' behavior needs to be turned off! We don't need big brother monitoring our every movement while enjoying a round of golf. It's no wonder the course was deserted.

Course issues

I like going to this course but they have a number of issues that are going to keep me from coming back and that people should consider before going. They recently got new carts and they've adjusted them so poorly that they constantly slow you down in areas that they shouldn't. I understand trying to keep people from wrecking the carts but they're unnecessarily ruining the experience. There is never any water in the ball washers or towels to dry the balls even if there was water. The course is kept so dry even though it's a nice course to golf on if it was kept in better condition.

VERY POOR CONDITIONS!!!!!

I took the wife to Diamond Valley today, OMG………….How poor can a course possibly be???? Save your money go ANYWHERE else! With all the rain, we have had this winter this place is already DRY, DRY, DRY, you should not get covered in foxtails in your socks while you are walking on the FAIRWAY, or getting to the tee box! We arrived 45 minutes prior to our tee time, the course had NO carts available for you to use! We purchased a bucket of balls and where preparing to walk all the way to the range, when the guy finally came up with an older cart for us to use to play. The course was almost empty for us while we did see a large group of ladies in the club house as we made the turn. I have played in some pretty poor courses in my day but this was about the worst conditions ever and just plan poor grounds keeping!!!! Pass on this place.

Rude staff

This was our second time on the course admittedly its May but the course was still in rough shape fairways and sand traps were like playing on concrete. They have new cart gps systems which weren't working and the part that was working was the warning systems to stop you from going onto the protected areas which was so sensitive that even on the cart paths would slow the cart down saying you were near a sensitive area, I hope they address this soon . The staff were not friendly and in one case outright rude. I may go back but it will be a longtime if ever
There are much better courses around where staff actually want you to golf there and the courses are in much better shape.

not bad!

To start the day off, the lady at the front desk was incredibly friendly and helpful to us, and the round went well! However, the biggest problem we had which really messed up play was the sand traps are more like bee traps. You CAN NOT go in the sand on some holes whatsoever due to enormous swarms of bees. As well some fairways such as the 9th have swarms on the fairway. Other than that the day went well and the staff has improved significantly from our last visit a couple months ago

Bad Experience

I signed up for a late afternoon tee time.
When I get to the course I am told they want the carts an hour an half before sunset!
I signed up for 18 holes only to get yelled at because we did not turn in our carts.
I am going to request a refund.
The owner of the course needs to notify the buyer about the return of carts an hour and half before sunset BEFORE he arrives at the course.

good value

this is a very challenging course and used to be a lot of fun to play until they screwed up the carts. You get used to the stopping and having to back up all the time, but that's just not a part of the game. Most of the stopping was on the cart path, hardly a restricted area. If you can put up with the rude staff and have saintly patience for the cart situation play on. I will continue to play there but it will have to be dirt cheap.

Challenging & Fun

Diamond Valley is a good value! There are some challenging holes that can accommodate all golfers. New golf carts guide you around restricted areas. All factors considered...it is a good value!

New broken carts and shotty greens

You read that right new carts with broken GPS for yardage but restricted movement of cart 10 yards from every hazard which are everywhere , the whole course is a hazard . This course is usually maintained but the putting greens need a lot of work . Still try it out for no more than 20$, good iron work is required .

Great layout but rude staff

The layout is very good and challenging but they have not maintained the course this year like most other courses have. Greens are good but weeds grow everywhere except where they don`t water and nothing grows.
The staff in the club house are always rude and in a demanding angry mode. They won`t let you golf a few minutes early even if nobody is waiting or on the 1st tee box. They won`t give you a golf cart key until 15 minutes prior to your tee time so you can get ready early. Too bad because this is a nice course if they treated the players with respect and maintained the grounds.

Great Course for the long hitters

Challenging course layout with beautiful view of the mountains. The winds off the hills gave us just enough challenge to shape our shots. The greens are first rate and fast. In all good players will enjoy trying to shoot par.

Golf outing ruined

The conditions and how the course is groomed are greatly misleading on this course. They bill it as lush grass conditions with very well groomed fairways. Far from it. In fact the greens were not even mowed the morning I played. They lone person in the clubhouse was very rude and deliberately gave me misleading directions to the course. He then placed me with some terrible golfers one was nearing 90 and the other one dug the empty beer cans out of each trash can and crushed them before he got to the tea box and was always late arriving there. The people at this course seem to dislike out of towners and snowbirds or maybe just golfnow users. I would recommend you ster clear of this course

Great Course

Played on Monday. Weather was perfect, 90+F, sunny and hardly any wind. Due to the massive amounts of rain lately, the course was green all over. There are some really challenging holes here and the driver is not always the best choice off the tee. The greens were in excellent shape, not too fast and not too slow. My main complaint was the bunkers. Most were hard as rock (we used the "hand wedge" technique on most of them. The solution is easy. Get the grounds staff to put the rake to them and loosen up the sand. No-one needs a sand wedge to turn into a 3 iron because of hardpan bunkers. They have new carts now and they are equipped with GPS. This is cool but the darn things shut down if you stray a little bit off the regulated zone. A real pain in the butt. All in all it was a great course at a great price.
