Reviews
Great course for the money.
Well maintained. Very scenic and a great layout. Already planning to play another round.
yes good course fast player
everyone will enjoy this course but bring extra balls about 6 lot of water and harxard also ob
Perfectly Maintained
Very fun and at times challenging course especially when the wind picks up on you. Lots of driver needed here but sometimes its not always the smart play. This course is beautiful to look at and fun to play and keeps things interesting.
Course is in great shape and is my favorite one in the are. Nice variety of holes from front 9 to back 9.
Course is in great shape and is my favorite one in the area. Nice variety of holes from front 9 to back 9.
Nice track, nice shape, fun layout
The pro shop as well as myself were confounded as to why they had a very open tee sheet on a beautiful Saturday afternoon....not a lot of shady areas on this course perhaps. Whitetail was in very nice shape and very much worth the $40 paid for a weekend tee time just after noon. Perhaps this track is just too far out of the way for some folks....and if they charged $30 after noon on weekends it would be more crowded however Whitetail is absolutely worth a play or two each Chicago golf season. Playing a round in Chicago area in less than 3 1/2 hours with an early Saturday afternoon tee time.....priceless!!
Great course, great value
Whitetail Ridge is a hidden gem. From the black tees it is very challenging. A lot of memorable holes. Course was in perfect condition, too! Definitely one of my favorite courses to play.
player friendly
wide fairways. Large greens. Has some interesting holes. We liked the most of the layout especially the back nine. Some memorable holes. beautiful clubhouse with a great view of course. We had a nice lunch.
Great value for a golf course that is well maintained with friendly staff.
Our little secret course in Yorkville, IL is out of the bag. Good value on weekends whenever course move early twilight @ 11am. Well maintained course with friendly staff but needs course rangers to monitor pace of play during Monday Madness. While we're young!
Well kept newer course with great scenery!
We played on a very wet day. The course had a lot of water but was still playable. The course in general was maintained very well. The greens played very true. The only criticism I have is that the pin placements on some holes were very challenging for the average golfer like myself. Overall I was pleased with my experience at Whitetail Ridge!
Sandtraps had no sand???
Greens and fairways were great and fair. Sandtraps had no sand which was which they were fixing slow but sure.
The round was really really slow and the starters did nothing to make this better.
The round was really really slow and the starters did nothing to make this better. It took 5 hours to play 15 holes, that's when i left....course is in great condition but NO excuses for such a SLOW round.
Great layout, better shape!
Played this course for the first time and instantly fell in love with it. I had looked it up on google maps to see aerial view, but that does not do it justice. Course has a wide open feel and look to it, but there are many tight holes that require precise placement for the best landing areas.
The greens were in excellent condition, and are very lage, which makes putting a real challenge. The layout is a links style for the most part, but very memorable, which is the sign of a good course
The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and even though it is 40 miles from my home, I will make a point of playing here as much as possible. One of the better new courses of the last 10 years!
In great condition. Is a challenging links course. Fast Greens
Enjoyed the round. People very friendly. I would highly recommend the course.
One of my favorite courses to play in the area.
This is a very nice course and fun to play. Challanging on some holes and forgiving on others. Tee box, fairways and greeens are all in good shape. Sand traps need work. This may be mainly due to the amount of rain we have received this spring.
Awesome Golf Course!!!
This is a very nice and challenging golf course. My wife and I play here almost every week. I highly recommend this golf course from beginner to low handicap golf players.
beautiful course
This is the third time I've played this course and each time I've had a blast. The staff is very friendly the course is near immaculate. Easy to navigate and well marked.
Room for Your Shot
Very nice setup, bunkers or water in play on most holes.
It gives you room to stay out of trouble, but you have to hit the shot. We played from the "Blue" tees which are 6100 yds and we enjoyed the chalenge
Great Course, challenging but very fun to play!
I recently played this course with a family member, it was a great course and very well maintained. The staff was very prompt and courteous, however I was surprised to find that the Back 9 was located in a "Dry Township"... Therefore, remember to stock up on your "Adult Beverages" at the turn because the cart cannot serve on the Back 9! Excellent Course and I look forward to returning again in the near future!
Course is in great condition this year!
Found a smoking deal on golfnow.com Hot Deals that we couldn't pass up. Course was great, greens laid nicely. Challenging but forgiving course will go back time and time again.
