Jacksonville Beach Golf Club

Since the last time I played JB the course is in a lot better shape and a lot of fun for a high handicapper like myself. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend you try this course, especially for the price, you'll be glad you did.

Great track for the money.
Markings could be better but they have really improved conditions over the last 6 months.

Very fun course at an affordable rate. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere very laid back. Great value and fun layout! I will play it again.

Course was terrible. Grass was uncut and not up to par with any other course I've ever played on. Basically had mud and sand traps all over the greens.

First time playing and brought a friend. The folks in the Golf Shop were helpful and friendly. The course needs some work especially on some of the greens and fairways. Too many bare spots and weeds. The layout did have its challenges which meant you needed a fairly accurate shot on some holes. It was just OK and we probably would not return in the near future even though the greens fees were very reasonable.

Played with my 12-year old son who is just learning to play. When I paid for our round, I explained that we were probably going to be slow due to this, and attendant told me it would be no problem, as he had nobody on the tee sheet for nearly an hour after us (it was a weekday after the first rush had gone off). When we reported to the 1st tee, the starter said there was a group right after us so we'd better keep up the pace. My son started slowly, so the starter rode up to the green and told us to pick up the pace. My son felt like he had to look over his shoulder the rest of the way, and suggested that next time we go to a "friendlier course". Way to grow the game, guys...

With the exception of a couple spotty greens, course has done a 180 from last year. Need to get back to red, white, and blue flags or some kind of rotation on pin locations

I had not played here in over 1 year due to the fact that the last few times I did the course (fairways and greens) were in pretty bad shape! I have always enjoyed , not only the layout, but the overall friendliness of the people who work at this course! Always friendly, helpful and pleasant! Well, I was very pleasantly surprised by the condition of the course from tee boxes, to fairways, to greens! I can't remember ever seeing this course in better overall shape!

Recently spent the week in JAX Beach. Our go to course was Jacksonville Beach GC. Really enjoyed the overall experience. Amazing that ALL the staff made you feel welcome...(Pro Shop, Starter, Lawn Maintenance Crew).

Really nice layout that offers challenges on every hole. Good to see every time we come back to the course, more improvements have occurred. Greens were vastly better than our last trip.

Don't understand people who complain about the conditions of the course when they're paying low fees. If you want a challenging round at a decent course with lower fees, try JAX GC.

It was our first time playing. We are accustomed to playing higher ranked courses but we're attracted by the low rate, so decided to try it. At first we were concerned when we saw Walking groups pulling hand carts which we never see anywhere else. We thought the play would be slow. However, we were surprised how nice the pace of play moved. The first nine was a little slow but the back nine - perfect. I really liked the layout of the course and although the yardage was not as long, it was challenging. I also liked the laid back vibe of the course... and the staff could not have been friendlier. They also had a nice bar area inside. Range balls were also nicely priced. I will happily go back to play there anytime.

The last time I played the course it was wet but the course can stand it. It is vastly improved from a year ago for those who haven't played there lately. It offers senior rates for those over 65 and a nice discount after 12 noon. The staff is friendly and helpful and the newly remodeled restaurant has good food and reasonable prices. Walkers and two-somes are welcomed for added convenience. It's never going to be Sawgrass, it's a Muni, but it's golf without the high cost and with a laid back beach atmosphere.

The greens on this course are extremely hard and lumpy. Hard to get a smooth roll of the ball.

Visiting from North and just wanted to hit the ball around. Greens were in rough shape. Pace was good. Price was right on Golf Now so we played. Had a good time but not the course to play if expecting good course conditions. I would play it again if the price was right.

JB has always been a wonderful layout but the overall condition and maintenance of course has not improved over the past several years

Even though it's dormant and still winter you will notice that the greens are much improved. It's a work in progress but can't wait for a warm spring to green everything. The staff is great and the prices for play and for food and beverage are better than anywhere else around. And you are at the beach! Have fun.!

First time playing the muni at Jax Beach. Great layout with many challenging holes. Water in play quite a bit but fair as straighter shots are rewarded. Great value for the money
