Tega Cay Golf Club is surrounded by Lake Wylie, its name even means "beautiful peninsula" in Polynesian. Despite the secluded setting, the club is only minutes from Charlotte and Rock Hill. The club is distinct for being the area's only 27-hole facility. The holes are divided into three nines that can be played in different 18-hole combinations. The Grande View Course is the longest of the three nines at 3,276 yards and it is also considered the most challenging. This nine is the most popular, the finishing hole was even voted the "favorite 18th hole in the Charlotte Area" by listeners of the local radio station. As its name implies, Grande View is characterized by its stunning hilly landscape. From the golf course's elevations, the views stretch across lush meadows and wooded hills.

very challenging,great layout,love it.

a course with a challenging lay out, very good conditions but experienced a very slow play, group in front of us with no common sense in how maintain a good playing pace and I quite didnt understand why the course staff allowed one of this players wearing denim with a cowboy buttoned shirt, other than that had a great day.

Not happy

I normally don't got through the effort to complain but it was absolutely horrible. It's a nice course which I have enjoyed playing over the past few years. I had a tee time for 2:50 and when I got there they had no carts ready and as I waited the lady that was in charge of organizing it let a group of 6 take 4 carts go ahead off and another person. Our tee time was first and we were only a twosome and the lady really let the group of 6 take 4 carts and they were in 80s but they even let a threesome go off to before us after I was first in line and had earliest tee time. Then when we finally got on the course the groups that went ahead of us had no golf educate at all and wouldn't let us pass them and eventually we passesd the threesome played 2 holes quick and caught the 6 ppl and got stuck behind them. After bring there at 240 for our 250 tee time we got on course at 330 and then took us 3.5 hours to play 9 so we went to club house to get a rain check on other 9 and they would only offer us a 10$ gift card to another round when the round cost 37$ a person through ur service and would've been 60$ without ur service. I really don't understand y we only hot 10$ gift card and not a pass for a round. I'm completely upset on there service there and don't want to even is my gift card to go back. I don't understand how the determine there order of letting ppl off and how they expect that much to play there and can't even have enough carts or have I idea how to handle ur cart situation. I literally seen my cart brought in from another group and they emptied trash then gave it to us. The cart was dying on9 there was no way I could've made it 18.

Challenging course with fast greens

The bermuda grass is still dormant, so fairway lies can be very tight. The greens are smooth, and in good condition, but very fast, especially if you leave the ball above the hole. Pace of play was slow...almost 5 hours to play.

Good pace of play

Course is still in winter conditions for fairways and rough. Greens in very good condition. Lots of elevated tees and greens. Position golf makes you think.

Greens were in excellent shape and the course was in good condition. There are some easy holes and some challenging holes that made it very enjoyable. Staff very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this to anyone.

Tough course

Greens were fast, but hard to read. Fairways need some grass to grow in.
