Tega Cay Golf Club - The Grande View
About
Tega Cay Golf Club is surrounded by Lake Wylie, its name even means "beautiful peninsula" in Polynesian. Despite the secluded setting, the club is only minutes from Charlotte and Rock Hill. The club is distinct for being the area's only 27-hole facility. The holes are divided into three nines that can be played in different 18-hole combinations. The Grande View Course is the longest of the three nines at 3,276 yards and it is also considered the most challenging. This nine is the most popular, the finishing hole was even voted the "favorite 18th hole in the Charlotte Area" by listeners of the local radio station. As its name implies, Grande View is characterized by its stunning hilly landscape. From the golf course's elevations, the views stretch across lush meadows and wooded hills.

Nice place for the price
Played 9-holes at the Cove. Very nice course for the price. Had bad weather the day before so hoping to go back when its in better condition
Great Track
Great variety of holes, not too long from white tees. Greens were excellent!
Course in good shape !!
The course is in good shape but be prepared for groups that skip a head of you on the pines I have had this happen twice with a group of older gentlemen who play there and a shot gun everyday.
Natural Landscape Perfectly Molds This Course!
Was teamed up with a local at my request and was glad I did. Don't know if it is cart only, but I wouldn't walk it...Just about every hole had significant vertical and horizontal elevation changes which require specific tee shots to avoid lateral hazards. Greens were quick, even though they were very wet. Several of the holes were borderline unplayable due to all the rain and snow melt. Would love to play again under dryer conditions. Staff were very nice and 19th hole had some excellent food.
Great day!
Other than the twosome we were with scamming us into match play on the back 9 and beating us, it was an excellent round of golf!
Great Course
I had a little rain on the second hole but the rest of the round was great. Can't wait to play the course when the weather heats up.
Good Course
Best to get a deal Rate there. The greens are very nice and super fast compared to most in the area. There are a lot of blind shots so its short but challenging. The fairways do not drain well in the rain. This time I played it was cold and a little wet but I managed. I will go back
Well worth a trip.
As a senior golfer it played long but we played in Dec. and it was cool. Will go back when it greens up. Dormant fairways. Great elavation changes.
Great course loved the elevation changes, some tee boxes need work.

Great Course/Va;ue
The course was in excellent Fall condition. The greens were in very condition, the rough was fair and the fairways were good.
Nice Course
Course was nice but the first nine Carolina Pines was through an extremely noisy neighborhood making it difficult to concentrate. The second nine was Grande View and very nice with a quiet neighborhood setting.
great layout
Great layout. Elevated tee boxes and greens. The. Greens were slow when I played. Beautiful golf course.
This course is very well maintained.
We have played this course twice and very much enjoyed it. The greens, fairways, traps and even the rough are maintained very well. Always a pleasure to play.
AN ATTRACTIVE, WELL MAINTAINED COURSE
We really enjoyed playing this course, it is probably one of the most attractive courses that I have played (and I have played all over the world). Each hole has its own character and you had to think where to place the tee shot. ( Unfortunately I had to rent clubs and the driver didn't behave itself, so often I was not in good shape of the tee)
The course was in great shape and the staff were very friendly. Would love to play it again with my own clubs!
best around
these greens are putting better than any around Charlotte! Played here for 6 years, course in the best shape I've ever seen it. Great staff. Will be back again soon.
Really enjoyed this course.
I enjoy playing Tega Cay when possible, it is truly challenging and tight with lots of scenery. The course is well maintained and the greens and fairways are always pristine. The only drawback I find playing Tega Cay is the friendliness of the staff, I've played here half a dozen times and encounter the same stand offish private club attitude on every occasion, I'm not the only one within the group recognizing this. Maybe it's just our groups opinion, don't let this little issue stop you from enjoying what this course has to offer.
Always a pleasure to play this course. Perhaps the yardage could be marked a little better for players whose choice of club could be better served.
I will play this course again, although my steady golf partner is moving away
The course challenges you on every hole.
The course is very challenging and requires to think about club selection. Playing this course is a very enjoyable experience.
Good experience
Really enjoyed my round here. The course offered a nice challenge and good conditions. Also not far from where I live in Charlotte. I will be playing here again.
My only gripe, it was over 90 and there was no beverage cart on the course that we saw!
This course is a must play. If you've never played it, you'll be in for not only a challenging track (from the tips), but a visual masterpiece.
I've played all over the Metro Charlotte area, saving this one for a day when I needed to play close to home. Having never played it before, I didn't know what to expect. Wow. What a course. I started on Carolina Pines. A nice track, well maintained and challenging, but not punishing. In beautiful shape with firm greens and manicured fairways. Next was Grandeview. They couldn't have chosen a better name. I stood on the number 10 tee box (tips) and was blown away. If elevation change, true rolling fairways and challenging golf are what you're looking for, this is your course. Definitely save Grandeview for the back nine. I'm saving this one for my Orlando buddies when they get here. On a final note. A genuine starter was there to greet you on one, something that is sorely lacking on every other course I've played. Also. A friendly, courteous staff, with a clubhouse and restaurant.
