Challenging course
Great and challenging course but sadly ruined by local non golfers. Teed off early on a Sunday - don’t mind a dog walker or two , even ten or so but no politeness by them whatsoever. Rude, slow and put themselves in danger, three times our group had balls picked up and taken by dogs. No apologies from walker - just laughed.
This is a great course with some interesting holes. If you can put aside the fact that pedestrians have right of way and there was a lot the day we played it’s a nice track and is great value.
Anyone for golf?
The golf was ok but it was like playing in a park, walkers everywhere on the course. One young couple were sat in the middle of the fairway (maybe they had watched us playing and thought it was a safe place). It was value for the money but I would try and find some where quieter next time I visit this county.
Condition
A challenging course, the greens are in a good condition and lots of trees to avoid, also quite hilly. The course needs more ball cleaners not just on the first hole.
Great course
A great challenge ,
Undulating fairways add to challenge ,
The greens are quite flat , that is a downside .
I love the course though , and it’s great value .
Challenging,
Challenging course ,
Great undulating fairways , and distance required.
The greens are quite flat , and some large bunkers .
A great course and great value .
Thank you queen’s park !
Be aware
Warm welcome at the club but my suspicions were aroused on the 1st with people walking across the 1st fairway, I'm not against dog walkers, ramblers or taking children out for walks across parklands but please beware as many are unaware of golf etiquette. The most worrying thing for me was the number of people on mobile phones who were oblivious to the surroundings, put that alongside mountain bikers who shoot across the fairways at regular intervals making a potential incident on many holes. The douse was tired with many bare fairways although the greens were in food condition, I’m not for speaking badly on any reviews but would make sure you have insurance before your round here.
Awful Experience
Only lasted 5 holes on this course. Played on my own and was stuck behind a 4 and 2 ball that refused to let me through. Course is awful hardly any grass. Members of the public and dogs walking around anywhere they please. Was even teenagers riding bmx’s on the greens and doing skids on and around the greens as I was playing and leaving there skid marks everywhere. Even noticed 2 boys come onto the course at the third hole and was walking round behind without paying any green fees. Was such an awful experience
Members have no eticut !
I appreciate there was a match play situation happening, however no officials on a Friday afternoon and I timed one bloke on a short par 4 looking for his ball for 15 minutes keeping us waiting for him to drop a new ball and begin to zig zag the 280 yard hole! When we over took and drove through whilst they were in the bushes, they were very rude!
It was like watching small children play with no attention spam.
Challenging Layout
Forgiving enough for beginners, but challenging enough for more advanced players. It’s an old course that won’t beat you up yardage wise, but makes you hit good shots. Condition of the tees, fairways, and greens was good, with a few spotty patch’s here and there. Overall, for the money, it is well worth it. HDCP: 6
In great nick
Lovely course but bunkers need raking and tidying up .
Queens Park GC
Played yesterday and found the course in very good condition, greens firm and unaffected by recent rain. Great value.
May have helped ti be told tempoary mats in operation in all of the holes . Not sure unexpected but the two groups in front thought it a good idea to play at a pedestrian pace and then walking off after 14 holes after holding everybody up until daylight was almost gone . Course is good but will avoid golfers with no idea of keeping up with the group in front
In superb condition despite the previous weeks rain ..
Dog walkers are pain!!!!
Good course and conditions but those dog walkers are everywhere it would not be so bad if they stuck to the paths provided but they just meander at will . That said we had a good day thanks
Hilly course
Interesting course with lots of level changes,so if you don't walk well book a buggy. Some holes quite narrow, edged with mature trees.Lots of pedestrians and dog walkers so some care needs to be taken before hitting your ball.Enjoyed my round a lot.
Good venue shame about the dog walkers
We had a good day and was able to play at our own pace course was well presented , green were well kept but a little fast only down side too many dog walkers all afternoon slow down to avoid any issues
Good course shame about the amount of dog walkers
Queens park is a very nice golf course that it well maintained and has something for all golfers! Staff in the shop and club house were friendly, the price was good! But the amount of dog walkers and their ignorance to golfers teeing off surprised me! Recommend this course
Great course, a LOT of dog walkers though
Excellent course, challenging, picturesque, well maintained and great members who value pace of play. Dog walkers are a minor problem. There were so so many and I played on a Monday Morning. Very small concern
