Great course for the money
Played at 3pm...despite the torrential ratings the past couple days, the course was still in very good condition. Bunkers are a little suspect (lot of good size rocks and pebbles), but other than that everything was great.
Hacker
Course was in excellent condition. We played at 2:00 p.m. and there wasn't hardly anyone else on the course. It was sad to see such a nice course with so few golfers.
Grounds crew made this a terrible round
Played late in the year but what made the round terrible was the crew was blowing out sprinklers that day. The problem was that I think they thought it was funny to try to get people wet in the forty degree weather. Won't be back!
The course is pretty well open for guys that spray the ball
Great course, great price, and a great way to spend 4 hours of your day. Need to have more sand in the bunkers
Great round.
Atwood is in as good of shape as any course around.
Fairways are excellent and greens are true. Loved all the turkey sitings also.
NOT HAPPY
Even though you're web site states the price is for 18 holes AND a cart the staff at Atwood insist you ride with someone even if you don' know them. This should be explained a little better on you're web site. If I had known this before hand, I would not have used you' re site.. Not happy......
Large greens
Large rolling greens, a challenge for good putters
Too Slow
At one point in the round, I was passed by a turtle and a snail. I'm pretty sure the snail won. Worst pace of play ever, and I've played some slow rounds in my life. The course is still worth playing, maybe around twilight time.
very accommodating
We got to the course a half hour before our tee time and found out rain had delayed a play day by an hour or so. The starter asked if we wanted to wait our go to another course. We chose to play Mac Town so we didn't pay the course we are reviewing.
very nice course
very nice wooded venue, greens are guarded by numerous traps, not many fairway hazards. The cart paths could use some work. Otherwise, I have no complaints.
Great to be back
I hadn't played here in many years. The course is beautiful with wild flowers and native grasses in between the fairways. Used to be a hit it, find it, hit it again course, now it is much more tactical.
The greens are the thing !
Hit the fairways, or else ! The roughs are brutal. Greens are fair but TOUGH. Watch your uphill downhill.
the course was a pleasant surprise
it had rained the night before and course drained extremely well minimal standing water and greens were excellant
Excellent Atwood course for seniors
excellent.. For Seniors including the Golf Now program Course is in excellent shape ...Fairways , Greens and Tee areas are also excellent condition... Recommend
Golfnow special
The course was in great shape even though a few heavy storms went through a couple of days earlier. The sand traps were a bit beat up, definitely needs attention. Excellent place to play golf.
very good value for money
some what longer course in great shape. moderately difficult. slower pace of play.
Huge greens
Good place to tune up your game with the wide fairways and greens. Tees go from 5,400-7,400. Slope moderate. Bunkers, however have been neglected. Greens keepers out and about cutting. Perhaps they'll get to bunkers soon.
Price points are $30 weekday and $38 on the weekend.
Lot of flying insects.
Annoying.
Bring Off.
Aywood is a fun day with some challenges
The greens were in great shape, sand bunkers were packed hard. Fairways growth was good for this season...over all a great day!
