Fun Golfing
Good course for the price, heavy rain shows on fairways, but good layout to give you a challenge
slow pace of play
Played the course 3 years ago and it took 6 hours to finish due to some groups ahead that assumed 6 hours of play is normal. Played the course yesterday and it took over 5 hours to finish. The course should take no more than 4 hours based on the length and difficulty of the course. And oh by the way, the check in guy could be friendlier. I simple smile and good morning goes along away.
Fun course. Great weekend value.
We went off early with a little rain, so the course played a bit wet. However, we really enjoyed the round. Very playable course with just enough to be challenging. The staff couldn't have been friendlier, from the starter to the beverage cart girls. We finished in just under 4 hours. I will most definitely be playing this course again soon.
Fairways not good
Looks like either winter kill or so much rain had the fairways beat up. Dave Perna is awesome at front desk but course needs lots of work.
Great Course
Excellent course, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful especially in the restaurant. Would have given five stars, but the condition of the fairways was just brutal. After all the rain they received I was surprised they were letting people play some of those holes as they had entire fairways roped off. I would highly recommend this course, the greens were in very good condition for this time of the year. Overall , very satisfied with my round here.
Not a great start to the year
The course was in rough shape. It was packed and people were not being pushed to keep moving. I saw a single walker chipping 7balls on a green and putting the all in while a foursome waited. Some of the holes were packed 3 foursomes deep. Almost 6 hours to golf 18 and waited on every whole. As for the shape of the course, well it was not worth 37 per person.
duh
the course was available to play and the cost was ok
the person in the bar area was not pleasant or even reasonably friendly
things could be be much better
Had to start off of hole 10
Not sure why a 7:30 tee time had to start off of hole ten that day, but when we got to the turn there was a back up on Hole one. Very disappointing to have to wait, and for what reason to start off of ten in the morning? Overall this course is in okay shape with some overwatering issues, and standing water. Okay layout, but short. Probably will go back in the fall with the coupon, but perhaps not. I'm not sure yet.
somebody help me
bar lady was crabby
air conditioned clubhouse what?
course condition was sadly lacking
didn't expect much and got less
guy in the pro shop and waitress were nice
Good mix of holes
Rum River Hills is a fun golf course. The staff is friendly and helpful. It’s not a long course, but it is very strategic. There are places you just can’t afford to end up in. There are a few forced carries. It was a very fun day.
Good Value, unfriendly staff
I Have played course several times a year. It's a pleasant course, not particular difficult and within a reasonable distance of the Northwest suburbs.
I will not play again because of the attitude of the staff against GolfNow members. The staff member was quite explicit in saying that they do not welcome golf now members. Especially, the hot deal. I tried to explain to him that this is a marketing/advertising'expense to the course and if they don't want golf now members to reserve tee times they shouldn't participate. Although the course is convenient and the prices are generally quite fair, I will not book a tee time there again. With the state of golf and the declining demographics I think their attitude is quite shortsighted.
