The dry n hot weather probably rendered the course in poor shape. Many tee platforms were hard with many weeds. The roughs were either without grass or covered by weeds, greens still in good shape but several of them have plenty of brown spot. Some bunkers are still under repair. However, check in was super quick, less than a minute and staff n Marshall very polite n friendly. The course needs some improvement particularly on weed control.

Fairways n greens are in good shape but with several tee platforms in hard pan condition, needs some watering work. Pace was not good n Marshall probably was not around to speed up play. Only saw the Marshall in hole 16. Check in was quick n easy and the staff was friendly n polite. The beverage cart is always around to serve which is good. Overall speaking, it is still a good course to play and enjoy.

Today’s weather is good n we two paired up with another two nice players but the pace is acceptable n can finish a little over four hours. Probably the Marshall is doing a good job as always see him around the course. Check in was super quick n staffs are friendly and polite. The course is in very good condition n rough cut short making it easier to locate the ball n quicken the pace. Fairways n greens are all in good shape. No complaints. Beverage cart is also always around which is good in this hot weather. It is not a long course n not too difficult so enjoy it.

Good work by the staff to maintain a beautiful flower peacock in the course. As usual, Deer Creek is very well maintained. Greens n fairways are in good shape except some sections of the car path need repair. The pace was good n our foursome can finish in around three n a half hours riding. Check in was quick n easy, and staff very polite n friendly. Today is a hot day n the beverage cart is always around, appreciate that.

After the construction was completed, the course condition was vastly improved. Newly laid grass sod, the addition of extended blue tees, well maintained fairways and greens, make the course more beautiful n challenging. The tee platforms were criticised for being too hard and probably the staff watered them so they were pretty wet when we played. Marshall was frequently checking on the pace of play to ensure no hold up and we four managed to finish 18 holes in a little over 4 hours which is not too bad on Friday which was a hot day with many players walking. Appreciate the good work of the Marshall. Check in was quick n easy, staff very polite n friendly and beverage cart was always around to serve. Overall speaking, big improvement that deserves recommendation.

Mill Run is always a good course and very well maintained. Fairways and greens (very fast) are in very good condition, rough cut short, so easy to find your balls and quicken the pace. But some sections of car path needed levelling as some big holes made them bumpy n dangerous. Pace was good and can finish within four hours. Check in was super quick and staff very polite n friendly with good smiling face. This together with the lovely weather making the day very enjoyable.

It is not very long but full of challenge. Tree lined, narrow fairways, hilly par three holes, tricky greens, all these make it difficult n tough. But still you can enjoy the challenge, of course bringing along a few more balls. Nine holes also means one can cut down the time if 18 holes take up too much time. Check in was quick and staff very polite n friendly. Enjoy it.

A bit curious on why some small ponds were filled up with earth. Is this a preparation for some future land development or simply reduce the chance of lost balls in the water? Overall speaking, the course is still in pretty good shape with fairways n greens well maintained. Roughs were cut short making ball finding much easier and pace faster. Today is a bit wet after rain and not many players around. Staff is very polite n friendly. This course is quite beautiful with ups n downs and very enjoyable in sunny days.

This course was transformed from the previous 18 holes Seaton Golf course. Part of the land probably was used for the construction of a new housing subdivision. But the Pickering golf course is much better than the previous Seaton. The fairways n greens are in very good condition. It is not long but some holes like the #2 400+ yards par 4 is very challenging and the tight layout makes this 3000 yards 9 holes course not very forgiving. Sign to the holes are pretty clear as the car paths are quite tricky n can miss easily. Overall speaking, it is a good course and price is reasonable. Pace is good too and we two can finish within two hours. Check in is quick n staff very polite n friendly. Will come back again.

Forgot to mention in the previous review that the newly paved car paths really is a big improvement to the course. One suggestion is to set up a return to club house sign at the end of the 18th hole. Unless you are very familiar with the course, otherwise one will have to guess which way to go back to the clubhouse.

The Legacy course is very well maintained and the fairways n greens are in very good condition. Greens have lots of contours and are not easy to putt. Fairways are widely open but if you get into the rough, it is not that easy to locate your balls. Have to extend our thanks to the Marshall as he managed the pace very good. The slow foursome in front of us let us pass through with Marshall’s help. So our foursome can manage to finish in around four hours. The beverage cart is always around which is a plus. Check in was also quick and the starter n staff all very polite n friendly. The course is a bit far away from the city but will play again.

As usual, the course is well maintained and the greens n fairways are in good condition. Check in was super quick and staff very polite and friendly. The play was stopped due to thunderstorm for 30 minutes and the staffs used dry clothes to wipe clean the power carts seats before going out. Excellent service and thumbs up for them. Mill Run is a very good golf course and back up with very good staffs as well.

Also many car paths are in bad shape and very bumpy. Check in was super quick n staff very friendly and polite. Course was not busy so pace is good. One interesting thing is the bottom of most trees always left uncut with a circle of tall fescue surrounding them. This makes finding the balls difficult if one hit the ball inside one of them. May be the maintenance staffs are too busy.

The course is in good shape, no complaints on fairways n greens. Not too many players in front of us so pace is pretty good. Managed to finish for two of us in three n a half hours walking. The back nine has a few holes close to residents n the rough along the left side borders was terribly high so avoid those areas as impossible to find your ball there. Surprised to find a pheasant running on the 17th hole, very rare to see in Parkview.

The course is in very good condition with the fairways and greens very well maintained. It had been raining in the morning so power cart was not allowed to use, only walking. But actually the course was pretty dry in the afternoon. One surprising thing is that staff requested to keep an identity card with photo, like driver’s license or health card, from players as security for using the pull cart. Never heard of that in other golf courses. Not sure whether it is legal for them to keep customer’s identity card as security for things like a pull cart. May be they can charge a security deposit from credit card instead that can be waived or cancelled upon return of pull cart.

The upper course is well maintained with the fairways and greens in good condition. The pace a bit slow this afternoon probably some new players slowed down the pace. But no complaint with today’s excellent weather which made the outdoor very enjoyable. Check in was quick and staff very polite and friendly. We arrived early but Marshall arranged to send us out so have to extend our thanks to him. Overall speaking, Parkview is a good course in the city and will come back.

Played the Valley instead of the Upper today. Can’t expect too much at the beginning of the season. Still a bit wet but the greens are in pretty good condition. No complaints on the fairways as expected to have few patches of wet area here n there. Overall condition is good. Staff n Marshall are very polite n friendly and check in is smooth n quick. Weather was very cooperating and really enjoyed the first match of the season.

Probably this is near the end of the season and some courses are already closed so those remained open will be fully booked. Frost delay added to the problem and it took almost five hours to finish 18 holes. The course condition is acceptable at this time of the season and some greens are covered with fallen leaves making putting difficult. Fairways still good n clean except on the sidelines with leaves but roughs are cut short helping a bit to locate the balls. This is not a difficult course n not too long, that’s why different kinds of players in the field n if one group slowed down, the waiting will be long.

Surprised that the course was so wet and power carts on car path only. So much mud on the ball that needed to clean up before every shot. Good thing was fairways n greens still in good shape n rough cut short but some tee platforms were pretty messy. Most fallen leaves were cleaned up making finding the balls easier n quicken the pace of play. Overall still well maintained in the end season n hope can play a few more rounds before closing.
